Immigrant Policy,” raises concerns for college completion and
graduation among Hispanic students in comparison to White
students. Suro claims that although more Hispanic students are
enrolling, they are falling behind in numbers causing a widening
gap between both parties.

• How is higher education accommodating Hispanics?
The article states, “That even as Hispanics are making
gains in overall college enrollment, the share of white

discouraging, it is merely statistical.

Conclusion
Rather than focusing on the gap we must focus on the
positives. There is still some very beneficial
information here. This growth in enrollment and
interest in higher level education gives illustrates the
further progression of multigenerational Hispanics
who are the sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, and
grandchildren of immigrants.
