5. WHY A MAGAZINE BASED ON ACTORS?
Local actors are likely to be acting in independent projects.
As there are many independent film companies in North London, there must be many actors working in
this area supporting them, looking to advance their careers.
Act Force LDN will benefit these actors by allowing easy access to these local jobs, providing helpful
advice for their career and craft, and providing an insight into experiences of their acting peers. As a
result, the magazine should provide a sense of connection to their community.
6. Act Force LDN will also support actors and companies in the independent North
London film scene by promoting the films featuring the interviewed actors. This
will include reviews, posters, and stills from the movies. The promotional section
will draw attention to the production company and to any streaming platform
where it might be available.
7. The Act Force LDN team will set up a streaming platform called Capital Cinema,
for London-made independent films. We hope to films featured in the magazine
distributed on the platform.

Some of the money generated from these subscriptions will be donated to Film
London.

films, experiences making them, being on set and in character, working with others, challenges skills,
and their perspective on the North London film scene and the entertainment industry

creative methods and working with actors - a contrasting perspective

11. TYPEFACES:
MULI / muli - Main body text font
HEADING NOW MEDIUM - Article, passage and section titles,
some cover lines, and important pieces of info
COCOGOOSE REGULAR - MAGAZINE LOGO
Simple and formal but with a slight curvature that suggests creativity.
Much harder and thicker than body font to emphasise important information, but still has that slight
curvature .
Bold and arty, looks urgent in context of the logo.
12. FIRST ISSUE:
The first issue of Act Force LDN will feature an interview with actor Guy Davies, who plays the lead role of
Arthur Brooks in the recent drama comedy The Fool at Reception, produced by Courage Media, which tells the
story of a 30 year old man living in a council flat by himself. The film follows his attempts to overcome
alcoholism and get a higher paying job than his current one as a toilet cleaner so that he can afford the house
of his dreams. He gets sacked from many a good job for making a complete fool of himself in hilarious ways.
