 "Tychicus I sent to Ephesus" (2 Timothy "Tychicus I sent to Ephesus" (2 Timothy
4:12). As Timothy was in charge of the
church in Ephesus (1 Timothy 1:3), the
coming of Tychicus would set him free, so as
to enable him to set off at once to rejoin
Paul at Rome, as the apostle desired him (2
Timothy 4:9, 2 Timothy 4:21).[2]
 Hippolytus of Rome lists Tychicus as one of
the seventy disciples.
 “. . . for Jew and Gentile, for husband and
wife, for parent and child, for master and
servant. It was the mind and will of God in
Paul's day; it is the voice of inspiration in our
day; it is an epistle of universal appeal and
application. Ephesians proclaims theapplication. Ephesians proclaims the
supremacy of God, the glory of his gospel, the
dignity and identity of the Church through
which salvation is offered to man. It contains
some of Paul's best writing, and is a document
that deals with fundamentals, with the gospel

 This is so opposite of our culture
today! Submitting! But we are talking
about submitting to a husband who is
attempting to be as Christ. Christ is the
greatest king of all, as well as the greatest servant ofgreatest king of all, as well as the greatest servant of
all. A truly great and benevolent
king serves, protects, guides his kingdom.
That is the point of his calling. Think of king
Benjamin and King Mosiah in the Book of Mormon…
