MH370 was a Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing that disappeared on March 8, 2014 with 239 people on board. The last contact with the aircraft was in the Gulf of Thailand when it lost communication and radar signals. Several theories emerged to explain its disappearance, including that it was hijacked by terrorists and intentionally flown off course, that it experienced a fire or technical malfunction on board, or that the pilot deliberately crashed the plane. Despite extensive search efforts, the fate of MH370 remains unknown.
