University of South Dakota Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Printmaking emphasis and an Art
History Minor; Vermillion, SD - 2015
Cumulative GPA 3.43; Departmental GPA 3.64. Researched Ukiyo-e traditional printmaking,
printmaking in the contemporary world, and experimented and researched with new forms of
drawing and etching in printmaking.
EDUCATIONAL/ART AWARDS
Awarded The Stilwell Art Award 2013. Three time recipient of the CURCS Grant used for
Printmaking Research 2013-2015. Dean’s List recipient five times, 3 time Returning Art Student
Scholarship. President purchase award and was the Student Art Association President. Organized
student art sale along with configuring shows.
ART EXPERIENCE
Took Frogman’s Workshop for lithography with Micheal Barnes. Printed with visiting artists
Althea Murphy-Price and Diana Behl. Have and continue to participate in multiple print
exchanges and printmaking conferences. Recently accepted in the Altered Esthetics a self-portrait
exhibition organized as part of the Guerrilla Girls Twin Cities Takeover. Participated in Cyber
Rituals print exchange and traveling show, New-Union Reunion traveling show, Electric
Boogaloo, the Stilwell Annual art show, University Invitational Show at the Washington Pavilion,
Corroborations at USD, and Duality of Dealing art shows.
MILITARY EXPERIENCE
Staff Sergeant, Electric and Environmental Journeyman on the F-16, South Dakota Air
National Guard; Sioux Falls, SD - 2009-Present
Have voluntarily deployed twice as part of a Theater Security Package; Jordan in 2013 and Korea
in 2015. Along with the TSP deployments I voluntarily helped the state of South Dakota in 2011
for flood relief. Staff Sergeant duties consist of overseeing and training personnel, teaching
problem solving skills and demonstrating the proper maintenance practices along with proper
documentation. The military has made it possible to adapt to work in a fast pace environment and
to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high attention to detail.

Printmaking Studio Art Assistant, University of South Dakota;Vermillion, SD — 2014-2015
Helped teach students how to properly etch and grain a stone and how to safely use chemicals and
equipment. Repaired a press-bed on a Charles Brand lithography press, overhauled and re-
calibrated a Takach lithography press. Also repaired and maintained other presses and studio
equipment. Kept track of inventory, and the over all cleanliness of the studio.
Commercial Applicator, Helena Chemical; Madison, SD — 2007-2014
Kept and maintained application records. Found the most efficient and logistical route possible to
save time and money. Understood that getting customers to return, through initial customer
service, is important. Studied ingredients in chemicals and how they react, proper use of PPE, and
sanitation procedures. Gained knowledge of OSHEA regulations. Have learned problem solving
skills, repairing, manufacturing parts, and maintaining equipment is an important part of the job.
