Theme: Song of Praise
Soli Deo Gloria is a Latin term meaning Glory to God alone. It is one of the “Five Solas”
that was brought out by Martin Luther, a theologian during the reformation era. The term “Soli
Deo Gloria” is written in the Holly Bible (Scriptures) in Rome 11:36 “For from him and through
him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” Everything that we do,
everything that we had achieved until today, it is all a blessing from God. That being said, we
must give everything back for the glory of His name.
God is the creator of everything. He created the whole universe with His world alone.
Everything such as stars, trees, animals, water are the results of His creation. He had created
everything and takes care of everything. He is an Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscience
God. He created us from the dust, giving us life, creating us in His image. God has a plan for us
from the beginning. God is not contained by space and time; He knows everything in the past,
present, and future in every single one of us. Also, God is love. He knows what is good for us
and what is bad. He will surely provide what is best for us.
In this song, I want to tell a story about the greatness of our God who sustain and takes
care of our life since birth until this very second. Maybe sometimes life will give you something
that you do not want, something that may be bitter to us, but remember that the Lord our God
loves us. He already has a plan for us that was planned even before we were born, since
eternity. He gave me a loving family that thought me to fear of the Lord and the love of our Lord.
He gave me friends who have been there for me in my ups and downs. I praise the lord with all
my heart and soul, for my life, for the grace you have given to me. We must always glorify God
for anything that he has or he will give us. Know that God is love Himself; He will always give
what is best for us. In His time
3. Synopsis
Bar 1 – 16
It tells us about the general revelation that is the beauty of nature that God has created
and given to us, human beings. God controls and take cares of everything such as: the
sun that always rises from the east every single day, water that flows from the
mountains down to the sea, the birds in the sky that needs to eat every day, and more.
God controls everything and take cares of everything. All the glory of this world be only
to the Lord our God forever.
Bar 16 – 29
Maybe sometime our plans does not go as we had planned, maybe something terrible
happens that we did not expect at all. But we must always remember that the Lord our
God had planned every moment of our life from eternity, before the world has been
created. The scriptures tell us that God is love, surely he wants what is best for us, his
children. God have a plan for every single one of us and we must believe that
everything he planned is good for us. Everything will be good and beautiful in His time.
Bar 29 – 48
Praises to our Lord, for He is good and for giving us everything that we could have not
imagined; God gave us a loving family who have fear of the Lord, God gave us faithful
friends that always support us and care about us, God gave us our life that we have
now.
Bar 49 – 68
My soul shouts out “Soli Deo Gloria” meaning all glory to God alone. In this section, the
melody goes back such as the one in bar 1-16. The difference is, in the ending, the
phrase “all praise to you my Lord” is repeated three times. This symbolizes the Trinity of
our God. Praise goes to the Father, the Son, and the Holly Spirit. Soli Deo Gloria, glory
to God in the highest.
