Summary of
Qualifications
David is currently the R2R Team Lead for Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. In this
role, he oversees the day to day CBS operations for the mentioned countries and the
oversight of Genpact. Also, he has been on constant contact with key stakeholders such
as senior FD, FDs, CBS Directors and Regional Finance Heads to align expectations and
priorities as well as managing issues and escalations. He started the R2R role in April
2014 handling Thailand and turned around the R2R services in 2 months gaining back the
confidence of key stakeholders and took over the ANZ market in November 2014 and was
able to turnaround the service in time for yearend reporting and was able to get good
feedback from the Senior FD. Currently, he is also leading the Novartis integration from
the CBS side for those mentioned markets.
Prior to becoming the R2R Team Lead, He had brief role as a Customer Relationship
Manager handling stakeholders concerns and being a stimulus to continuous
improvement. He handled the role from January 2014 until Mid April 2014. In this role, he
was liaising closely with stakeholders and ensuring the VOC’s are addressed. In this role,
he was able to develop good relationship with different stakeholders from various
countries.
In the year 2013, he did the CBS finance TOM migration to implement the target operation
model (TOM) for the Asia Pacific markets as the Knowledge Transfer Lead. He is mainly
in charge of knowledge transfer ensuring that the migration is effective and milestones are
met. It was a big task of migrating 8 APAC markets in a span of one year. He had the
responsibility to ensure that new joiners are adequately trained and he also acts as the
counselor to ensure that new joiners concerns are addressed and that they complete the
tasks and stay with the company despite the aggressive deadlines. During his tenure all
go-live dates were successfully met.
David joined GSK in August 2012 as a Senior R2R Accountant handling the entire
financial reporting process for GSK Malaysia. This includes management reporting and
statutory reporting responsibilities and also oversight of Genpact. He also had a short stint
as an acting ICSS Lead in 2012 and was able to build a good relationship with the key
stakeholders.
Prior to joining GSK, David is an Associate Director (Manager) in Ernst & Young
Philippines with more than 6 years of experience in external audit and advisory services.
His significant experiences in advisory includes internal audits, SOX audits, compliance
audits, controls assessment, risk remediation (including process reviews) and various
agreed-upon engagements for multinational companies from various industries such as
pharmaceutical, manufacturing, outsourcing/offshoring (BPO), consumer products,
financial, technology and real estate as well as educational and non-profit organizations.
He also has relevant experiences in fraud investigations.
He also has significant experiences in external audit of companies in industries such as
manufacturing, BPO and oil and gas.
David graduated cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from
University of St. La Salle and is a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines.
