Leonard Curtis Recovery Limited 2010-2012
Business Development Manager - Tasked with practice development and marketing initially and became
dedicated to Factoring Advisory Service in November 2011.
Assisted the Midlands Director to engage in 12 insolvency and restructuring cases generating over £300k in fee
income. Drove upgrading and data cleansing process to improve the regional CRM platform and added c.10%
new contacts. Oversaw transfer and migration of this data to national platform, 2012. Handled numerous
invoice finance enquiries, with average 12 cases refinanced per annum. Additionally involved in IBR
engagements and other lender refinance cases.
2. Coface Receivables Finance Limited 2007-2009
Regional Manager - Responsible for business development of mid-market ID sales (£1m-50m funds out).
Midlands, North and Wales.
At new business objectives for period to Q3 2008 when crisis struck and CRFL was hit with x2 substantial client
losses. Climbed a steep learning curve regarding both credit insurance products and financial instruments. No
further business transacted post Dec 2008 due to company risk policy and subsequent redundancy September
2009 prior to company closure and sale of lending book in 2010.
Close Invoice Finance Ltd (Metropolitan Factors Ltd) 2002-2007
Regional Director - responsible for sales invoice finance products in West Midlands (£50k-£2m funds out).
Initially home-based under Metropolitan, managing Midlands and North. Became part of a team of four
regional sales people under TUPE transfer to Close 2003, personally achieving objectives consistently by
providing 16-20 new clients per annum at approximate revenues of c. £350k. Assisted in new product
development 2002/3 and further seconded to development committee for second new product development
2004. Held both survey and deal sanction mandates during tenure. Acted as mentor/”second pair eyes” to
BDM colleague.
