• Rear Admiral (RADM) David F. Baucom recently retired from the United
States Navy and now serves as senior director of supply chain for Vintun
LLC in Virginia. In addition to his current professional role, David Baucom
is a member of the Military Officers Association of America.
The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) recently named Army
Gen. Walter L. “Skip” Sharp (retired) to the organization’s board of
directors. He will serve a term of six years in this role. A 1974 graduate of
the U.S. Military Academy, Sharp eventually achieved the rank of four-star
general. He has previously held command posts with United Nations
Command, Combined Forces Command, and U.S. Forces Korea.
Sharp served in the Army for 37 years before retiring in 2011 to found a
consulting firm. In his comments, he expressed admiration for the MOAA
and its advocacy efforts on behalf of officers over the years, and excitement
at the opportunity to serve with the organization and make it even more
successful.
