whenever the wire line network is down. This same architecture is also being used to provide network connectivity for offsite

Developed infrastructure to digitize, transport and store banking forms and documents – eliminating $35MM in annual
transportation costs
Developed a transformational branch of the future prototype that leveraged Microsoft Slate tablets for mobile banker use,
mobile IP phones, public Wi-Fi and customer behavior analytics
Initiated a modernization of Alaska branches and ATMs that delivered a 400-800% increase in network bandwidth while at the
same time providing an annual Telecom reduction of $1.6MM
Prepared a series of futuristic architecture marketing documents “Office of the Future” and “Team Member of the Future” that
served as the blueprint for the Workplace 2020 initiative that is transforming and modernizing employee workspace and

large banking networks (Wachovia and Wells Fargo) into one of the largest corporate data networks in the world. Providing

Created a “Service Tier” infrastructure model that allows a LoB to select from 5 infrastructure patterns offering a range of cost
and resiliency options
Developed a Financial Impact Assessment Tool that provides a quick financial assessment (without the need for a full-blown
business case) of cost reduction ideas submitted within the organization

Provided technical infrastructure guidance during an 18-month integration of the A.G. Edwards brokerage trading platforms
with the Wachovia Securities brokerage offices and data centers resulting in an 1150 site brokerage network

Managed several network engineering teams responsible for LAN, WAN, MAN, satellite and Load balancing. Managed 30+ staff
members, managed workflow, projects, budget and technology decisions as well as on boarding of new technologies.
Developed a multi-year $200M+ Infrastructure refresh strategy aligning with key business initiatives. This refresh of over 750
branch locations centralized branch servers and data enabling the business to attain $50MM in savings. Initiative included a
transformation of the Central Data Warehouse, E-mail messaging, supervision and retention systems, Branch and Home Office
Data Network, PC Desktop, Identity and Access management implementation, and a Systems Management redesign
Introduced a low-cost branch configuration option allowing the brokerage to open small office locations with a lighter
infrastructure footprint and lower operating costs
Improved the employee on-boarding process by decreasing the time needed to grant system access to new users from five days
to four hours via the centralization and automation of user account provisioning
Architected a redesign of the entire Market Data infrastructure used to feed the broker workstation
Architected numerous software enhancements to the broker workstation including the implementation of a messaging bus,
SOAP and Web service calls
Developed a wireless WAN alternate transport strategy that leveraged the use of VSAT transport
