most talked about data management disciplines today, Master Data
Management and Data Governance.

Abstract

• There are many tools on the market that enable organizations to address
their MDM and DG concerns.
• The challenge facing many organizations is to bring these two disciplines
and the tools associated with these disciplines together in a cohesive
manner such that the sum of their parts exceeds the value that is added by
each independent discipline.
• Is there a practical way to do this? Will the work effort required to achieve
MDM and DG success simultaneously make the practitioner’s life easier or
more difficult?
• The answer lies in the approach and
the attention that is paid to address
