LifeCycle is a new patented process for disposal of hygiene waste products – nappies, incontinence waste and sanitary waste.
Before LifeCycle, there were only two options for the disposal of hygiene waste products.
They could either be incinerated or sent to landfill;
- Landfill (capacity – only a decade left and waste is buried deep in the ground because it’s unpleasant. Takes centuries to decompose)
- Incineration (energy required to burn wet waste, less environmentally friendly than burning dry waste)
We divert the waste away from landfill
We turn it into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) – which is burnt dry rather than wet
First time that this can be done cost-effectively and on an industrial scale
Our process
Remove any items that shouldn’t be there and send them for recycling
Shred and squeeze to remove liquid which is disposed of through the sewerage system
Chemically treat the waste and make into large bales of RDF
The highly efficient fuel called Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), is used to create energy.
