Radio Advertisement – Notes:
- Relate advert to others successes e.g. winning the lottery
- “Local paper for local people”
- Cheap, no advertisements, simple layout
- Normal life situations, yet the life of the person who has read the paper is very visually
enhanced
- Could advertise a certain story: e.g. – A recent study – Democratic elections – A murder
- Advertise feedback systems, like “have your say column”, (just something unique)
- British national anthem, British voice. (Southern or Northern?)
Script #1
*Dark Ominous Music*
Voiceover begins: Now is a time of strife and struggle. We face problems that no man can stand
alone.
We must Unite!
*British National Anthem blares out*
More enthusiastic Voiceover: Like in times before we can pull together under the british flag
*Insert clip/voice quote from Famous Churchill Speech*
Voiceover: Britain Today is available in any local newsagents, supporting the local community for
only 80p
Script #2 (Very Brief)
Bob is talking to a friend
Friend remarks on how amazing Bob is, asks how he does it
Bob says he reads this Newspaper

Cuts to Job Interview Scenario:
Dark Ominous Music - Slow
Interviewer – Hello Mr Denver welcome
Alan- Hello, I am looking forward to working with you
Interviewer – Well I’m afraid there is one more test you will have to go through, nothing too difficult
for an observant young lad.
Alan – Ah okay, well I wouldn’t be sitting here for the job if I wasn’t observant. So fire away.
Interviewer – Brilliant. What happened on the bankings between Walkden and Monton yesterday?
Alan – A small group of dog walkers were found injured after a vicious attack led by a notorious gang
of drug dealers found on the outskirts of Eccles, out of the 6 walkers attacked only 2 of them
suffered minor injuries, however all of them had their wallets an phones stolen. So far 4 arrests have
been made.
Interviewer – I…That’s fantastic!May I ask, how did you know?
Ominous music lightens up/Possibly some birds singing:
Alan – Well I read the entire story this morning in Walkden Today
Interviewer – My Favourite newspaper! You’re hired!
