2. Quark Express 8 I used Quark in College and downloaded the trial version for use at home. This made file transfer very much easier and I could develop my work at home. Quark is a piece of media used by professionals for magazine editing and creation the world around and is heavily relied on.
3. Adobe Photoshop I used Photoshop Elements (at home) and CS5 (in the Mac suite) to edit my photographs for both magazines. I was already quit used to a lot of the tools in Elements 6 but getting used to CS5 was more difficult, however, the variety of tools and effects is far more useful and the possibilities are endless.
4. Internet Browsers At college, I use the default Microsoft Internet Explorer But at home, by personal choice my default browser is Mozilla Firefox because it is fast, sleek and the company contributes to charity. Also, I have been told that internet explorer is much less safe to use.
5. SlideShare Slideshare is a platform on the internet where users can upload PowerPoint presentations ready for embedding over the internet or using in any other way, quickly and easily. There is no need to register, as you can log in with a Facebook account.
6. Facebook I used the social networking platform Facebook to gain peer assessment and feedback, as it was very quick and easy and I’d already had an account set up. This way I could also copy and paste feedback into my evaluation which saved time.
