confused with the difference of this function to
information function.

functions appeals to long term memory most of the
time. When it appeals to long term, you can’t easily
forget it. This can serve as your life changing ideas.
On the other hand, information functions usually
appeals to short term memory. You need
information in a short span of time or only in that
particular moment.

better in life. These are in the form of giving advice
or counselling.
• As a common example, this can be attributed in a

• This functions simply wants to express emotion or
strong feelings because of a particular situations or
happening. Think of any emotion here, anger, pain,
shock, happiness, sadness. Whatever it is, as long

and teamwork, enabling individuals to work together toward
common goals.

communication to persuade or influence others' opinions,
decisions, or actions. It's often used in marketing,
advertising, and advocacy.
• Empathize: Empathetic communication involves
understanding and sharing the feelings and emotions of
others. It is essential for building empathy and rapport.

communication. These are to regulate, to inform,
