9. 1.ASCHOTANA:
Instillation of medicines in the form of drops
from a height of two Angulas.(approx. 4inches)
आश्च्योतनं सवामपिरोगेष्वाद्य उििर्ः|
Very 1st line of treatment for ocular inflammatory conditions like -
Sopha (Inflammation)
Raga(Congetion)
Daha (Burning Sensation)
Ashrustrav (Excessive lacrimation)
Toda (Pricking Pain)
11. 2. SEKA/PARISEKA
सेकस्तु सूक्ष्मधारापि: सवमच्छिन्नयने पित : |
Procedure of pouring the liquid medicines over the
eyes from a height of four Angula.(approx. 8 inches)
Indication : Same as Aschotana. But in Fulminating
Stage (बलवत्तर अवस्र्ा)of Netra Roga.
Aschotana and Seka is Differentiate only by with
Roga avastha, Aushadh drava matra evam Prayoga kala.

13. 3. BIDALAKA
पिड़ालको िपिलेिो नेत्रे िक्ष्मपववपजमत: |
Application of medicated pastes over eye lids excluding eye lashes.
Indications :
Tarun netra roga (Prodromal Conditions )
Ashrustrav (Hyper lacrimation)
Vedana (Pain)
Toda (Pricking Sensation)
Kandu (Itching)
Sotha (oedema)
Matra : ½ Angustha
Takes it off before it fully dries.
14. 4. PINDI
पिंडी कवपलका प्रोक्ता िध्यते िट्टवस्त्रक
ै : |
In this paste of medicines are covered in a cloth
and placed over closed eyes.
Pindi is a modified procedure of Bidalaka and
more effective comparison to Bidalaka.
also called as Kavalika.
Indication : same as Bidalaka
15. 5. TARPAN:
तिमणक
ं नेत्र तृच्छिकरं िरर् |
Local procedure of poring of oily substance
through a specially prepared border over the
eye for stipulated period.
Nourished eyes and improves strength.
Average time 20 – 45 min
Quantity : Approx. 20 ml each eye
Can be advised for 3/5/7 days
16. Indications :

18. 6. PUTPAKA
Poring of lukewarm medicated juice(swarasa) prepared with the
help of putapaka vidhi through a specially
prepared border over the eye for stipulated
period.
Can be done after Tarpana or
independently.

27. MURDHA TAIL
Procedure of conducting various treatment over the head with
medicated Taila / Kwath such that the oil remains in contact with
the scalp for fixed duration of time.

34. PRATISARANA:
कल्कोअवलेिश्च्चुणम च पत्रपवधं प्रपतसारणर् |
अंगूल्यगृिीते च यथास्वं र्ुखरोगीणार् ||
Choorna (fine powder) is mixed with
lukewarm water to make a paste; the
paste is taken on a fingertip and then
massaged on the gums with mechanical
pressure exerted in a specific direction.

35. MUKH LEPA
The herbal paste which is applied
on face to treat acne, pimples,
scars, marks and pigments are
known as Mukha Lepa (face
pack)
Mukhalepa is a simple and
effective skin care treatment in
Ayurveda, which is done using
variety of herbal pastes.
36. BENEFITS
It cures, Vyanga (blackish hyper pigmentation of face), and
Nilika (bluish hyper pigmentation).
It detoxifies the skin and enhances the beauty of
the skin.

37. SWEDA
Sweda means heat application on specific part by

method.
