High school : Graduate of 10th General High School-Athens (1981)
University : I was accepted following my successful participation to general
exams for Greece's universities at the department of Mechanical Engineering of the
Athens National Technical University (Ε.Μ.Π.), where I attended 3-years of studies.
I focused on classes related to Maths, Statistics, Computer Programming
and Business and less on engineering.
Other studies : 3-years attendance at the National Music School of Athens-
Classical Guitar dept. Participation in many guitar concerts.

My IT business career starts in the U.S.A., where I worked as a technical assistant
at first and sales representative later on, at a small IT company based in New
York. The company's focus was reselling of used IT equipment such as personal
computers, printers, peripherals, and also minicomputer systems from various
manufacturers such us IBM, DIGITAL, PRIME, HONEYWELL, STRATUS,
WYSE, NOVELL and others. My duties included communication with customers
(telephone or on-site) , evaluating their needs, and selling of required IT products
and services.

The above company is among the oldest IT integrators in Greece with many years
of experience in IT solutions , staffed with specialized employees. The company's
main activity is IT consulting, design, integrating, selling and installing of
technology solutions consisting of hardware systems (servers, storages,
networking....), system software (Microsoft, Vmware, Symantec, ....), and also
providing customers with the support level required for the optimum use of all the
equipment provided. I was employed in the sales dept and given the responsibility
of handling major accounts from various industries such us pharmaceuticals,
construction, other multinational corporations, banks, and prepared proposals /
participated in many public sector bids . My duties also included customer
3. consulting, proposal preparation and submission, management of various projects,
and coordination of various customer's requests with the proper company's
departments. In addition to my many office duties and trainings, I also developed
substantial communication experience with customers on the phone and by
visiting them at their premises. Therefore I established long and trustworthy
business relations with customers and also with many IT vendors. Crucial in my
career was also the successful promotion of an "e-invoicing" s/w application ,
dealing with the electronic archiving and mailing of invoices , which gave me the
opportunity of successful communication not only with IT managers by also with
Finance / Logistics managers of many customers, to whom I had to present our
solution.

This company specializes in providing IT support in the SMB market and also
deals in vertical markets by providing specific s/w applications mainly for the
insurance broker sector. Here I had a chance to sell hardware, services and also
present s/w applications to prospective customers.
IN CONCLUSION
I am a person inclined and loving to communicate with others and reaching out for
existing or prospective customers , in order to explain and prove the necessities /
advantages of new IT solutions , therefore making the promotion and sale of new
IT technologies easier for approval by making it a successful business case .
