1. My Mother Short Story
The most surprising thing about my mothers' story is that she lived. While hearing my mother's story I got told one calamity after another. Privilege
is always earned on someone's else's suffering. My mother and father suffered for my privileges, therefore, I will also pay for my children someday.
She was 9 years old when she came back from school one beautiful sunny afternoon to be greeted with guards that put her mother, and her 5 siblings in
a circle in the center of the house. The guards pointed rifles to their heads and took my grandma to question her about my grandpa and his job. My
mother tells me about how those rifles stared her in the eyes as if they were asking her "any last words?". My grandpa was a rich young guy who
owned an...show more content...
My mother thanks god that she was only 12 at this time, for young beautiful women were taken away from their families and never seen, god only
knows what happened to them. One blistering morning the guards rounded up around 200 prisoners who they were "done" with and told them
that they are going to take them to Iran there they can live freely. In buses, 200 prisoners drove to the Iranian boarded but never got close the buses
stopped and the prisoners where lined up. The gardens pointed to Iran and told them to walk there, nevertheless, after only a couple of minutes of
walking shots flew by my mother like birds. The guards, not done having "fun", wanted to kill what's left of these kids and elderly people. I cannot
imagine the crime scene my mother witnessed, she tells me grandma grabs her and her siblings and runs with the fear that her kids won't see
tomorrow. After Saddams people killed half of these innocent souls they left. What was left of the prisoners had to walk through a blistering mine
filled dessert with animals that were more dangerous than the guards who were considered lower then animals. Four to five days of walking without
water or food these innocent people had to watch out from left to right for spotters from Iran and Iraq that would attack at any given moment. After
days of this, the people who survived were nothing more than vessels, if humans were not programmed with survival intuition,

2. My Hero: My Mother Essay
The one person that I could never live without, the reason I am standing till this day, is my mother. My mother is who I thank and admire most of
all. Without her dedication and hard work, I would be in the squatters of the Philippines, stuck in a place where it is a very difficult place to make a
good enough living or even make enough money to keep the bread on the table for your family. Her main goal and dream was to pass the NCLEX
exam, it would permit her to go to America. That would allow her to make a better living and life for herself and to get a job, in order to send back
money needed for her family.
My mom was the eldest of nine siblings. It was extremely difficult for them to have enough money to buy food,...show more content...
She knew that a good education would be the only way to become successful in the future. My mom made a promise to herself, to have full
dedication in her school work in order to move to America, to earn money for her family. She wanted to get control of her life and make sure to have a
great education.
She enjoyed learning and studying in high school. She would lock herself in her room, and sat in a desk that was in the corner of the room. She
would study nonstop, even eating dinner as she read her books. She was so proud of herself when she did great on all her tests and finals. Her
friends would invite her to go out and eat at the mall, but she would remember the promise she made to herself, to put all schoolwork before
everything, because it was more important. Once she graduated high school with the highest average of her class, she worked even harder in her college
classes. She enrolled to get a Metical Technology degree because she knew the employers were always needed in the medical field.
My mom studied day and night to pass her board exam. The board exam was what you needed to pass in order to graduate college. She passed that
exam swiftly and worked toward her next exam, that allowed her to travel to America and would guide her to the successful future she truly deserved.
That exam was called, "The State Board Exam". It was an extremely hard exam that many Filipinos took in order to move to America. Many even took

3. Narrative Essay : My Mom
For this narrative, I interviewed my mom, Amanda Lopez. At first, she seems mean. That's very blunt but it's true. My mom is a very guarded and
self–reserved person. She does have manners and she is nice but, she won't open up immediately to a new person. She is also very hard working and
independent. She wasn't born with these qualities, she went through a lot of different struggles, but that's how she ended up where she is today.
My mom didn't have a very good high school experience. Her mom always moved, which caused her to move. Which caused her to have few friends.
She never participated in sports or arts. She mostly focused on her home life and school. Her mom never really supported her. When asked about the
future, she state "I never thought about the future, it was more of a day by day, moment by moment kind of thing. How am I going to pay for this and
when will I get my homework done?" My mom had to buy her own clothes, pay the rent at her mom's house, and juggle school work. So, as you can
imagine, she had a lot on her plate. Although, she did have support from her aunt and uncle. But, she still had to do a lot of things on her own. "Aunt
Terri and I would go to her parent's house and hang out on the farm. We would do every day normal stuff like baking and knitting." Essentially, Aunt
Terri was the mom she never had, she taught her basic skills and gave her tips on different things. "They were the ones that came to my volleyball
games and made cupcakes for the

4. My Mother
The greatest influence in my life has been from my mother. She has nurtured, raised, and guided me through all of my ups and downs. She has
been a rock for my family, and always shines her sunshine into our lives. My mom is someone I have always looked up to and who I strive to live
my life like. She has always persevered through her challenges and had endurance while striving to achieve her goals. I have been inspired by my
mom's legacy of determination and resilience, and hope to create a similar legacy for others and those who will come after me.
My mother has always been a sweet and loving girl. Her parents married young, and loved her with every ounce of themselves. However, they soon
separated when she was only one year old, leaving her to live with her mother. She created many beautiful memories with her mom, who smothered her
in love and affection. Even though her world was content, her mother struggled financially and emotionally. They moved frequently, and my mom
attended nine different schools before third grade. Eventually, my grandmother became unable to take care of my mom anymore, so she made a
deal for my mom to live with her dad for one year. However, when the time came, my grandfather refused to let my mom go, because he knew that
she would live a life on constant change and instability. He knew that she would be happier and safer living with him. Indeed, when my mom started
the third grade, she was far behind, and by the end of the school year was one of

5. Mother Essay : My Mother
My Mom Moms are the most special and pure beings in the world. They are that being who gives everything for love, for her home, for her children
and grandchildren. The mother is such a blessed woman that she endures so many things for the sake of her children, while many times we are
ungrateful to them, assuming that our mothers will always be there for us.
When moms still there with you, it is fortunate to have her, because the kind of love she gives is the purest you can ever find. My mom, for example,
is very special to me, since she has taught me how to live and how to value things in life. She has always been present at all times and has not spent a
single day in which she has forgotten to give me her blessing. she is the one who...show more content...
She always encourages me to work hard, stay focus and never give up. She has been a great example of how to be an excellent mother and wife. What I
admire most about her is that when I was a baby she used to work everyday and I am surprised that she always had time for me and her work, I mean
that working and taking care of a baby is very difficult. Everyday she gets up to work, to be sure that I have everything I need. She's a mother and wife
focused on giving her family the best of her. If my family were in need, she would do whatever it takes to get what is needed.
Another reason why my mother is very special is because she always makes space and takes time to go to my volleyball games. She sometimes has
to drive three or four hours and stay in a hotel just to be present in my games. She gets really involved in the game, she cheers a lot, and she is my
number one cheerleader. My mom sometimes takes goodies to treat my teammates. They all respect and love her because how she treats everyone
on the team. She gets excited and has a lot of fun in my games. I'm thankful for what my mom has done for me. Everyday she's looking for different
ways to improve my lifestyle. The sacrifices she has to make to help me move forward is something I will never be able to pay her back. There's
nothing better than share with her my challenges and achievements. I always ask God to bless me allowing me to have

6. A Biography On My Mom
I wrote a biography on my mom because she is basically an older and wiser me, but her childhood wasn't exactly as easy. Lashae Damore Bibbins
was born on March fifteenth, 1970 in Los Angeles California at the UCLA Medical Center. She was born on her dad's birthday and unfortunately, the
day her father's best friend died from a car incident. Lashae's parents are Lucille and John Jefferson.
Her first memory was when she was four or three years old in pre–school called Kimberly Ann in 1973. Lashae says, "I remember they had an ugly red
carpet, and I refused to take a nap till the teacher said "okay just lay down quietly". I used to watch a T.V show called "H.R. Puffin Stuff." There
was a red flute, an ugly green witch and the trees moved and talked." Lashae's mom especially remembers when Lashae would cry every time she
dropped her off, which gave her a headache. As a child Lashae was most afraid of dying. She would think about it all the time and scare herself. She
also remembers the weekends when she was young. "Saturdays were the best because I was able to watch cartoons all morning while drinking hot
chocolate and eating toast with grape jelly. My favorite t.v–show to this day was the Brady Bunch."
Lashae had two siblings. Her unreliable older brother, Maurice, who she thought was very weird because he would always lie and steal from their family
and an annoying younger sister, Meme, who at the time lived to make Lashae's life miserable by pretending that Lashae hurt

7. My Mother Influenced Me
Out of everyone in my life I feel as if my mother is the person who influences me most. My mother is someone who is very sweet and would do
anything for her kids as well as her family to make sure they are happy and smiling. As I started to grow up and started to go out and be more
independent that is when I started to realize what an impact my mom has on my life. Growing up my parents were divorced and my mom was the
one who basically raised me on her own. She showed me right from wrong and guided me and pushed me to do the right things in life and strive for
success. As I grew up my mom was always right by my side and accepted my dreams and wanted me to go out and pursue every dream I have. And
now looking back at everything my mom has taught me I can't thank her enough! Because without my mom pushing me to succeed, being there for me
when times were tough and being a forgiving person I would not be where I am today.
My mother's name is Heather and she is 38 years old. My mother and I look like sisters. She has dark brown hair, brown eyes how ever the only
difference is she is only five feet tall! I can always tell when my mom is entering the room by the clucking of her heels. My mom always wears
strong beautiful perfume from Victoria's secret. She has a great sense of fashion and is always dressing to...show more content...

8. My Mother, My Superhero Essay examples
Growing up, we are all faced with images of Superheroes. Spiderman, Superman, and my personal favorite, Dash from the Incredibles. A superhero is
described by Merriam–Webster's dictionary online as ": a fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers; also : an exceptionally skillful or
successful person". I can say that I have met a real life superwoman. She changed my life and taught me such an impactful message that I decided to
share with you.. Born to a teen mother, this superhero in the making faced challenges from the day she was born. My mother experienced things that
most of us only hear or read about. As a toddler she tragically encountered extreme levels of cruelty and various forms of physical and sexual abuse at

This opened a door to a spiral of choices that included promiscuity, teenage pregnancy and dropping out of high school. (PAUSE)
People always ask my mother, why on earth she dropped out of high school. She said that at the time, in her 17–year–old head, it made more sense to
be at home protecting her daughter, than completing her education.
Yes, the person I deem a superhero, my mother, got pregnant at the ripe age of 17, the same age I am now. My mom became pregnant during her
junior year of high school. Not to brag, but, despite her choices, she was a very gifted student. My mom gave birth to my sister in 1987 after
completing her junior year. Unfortunately, she dropped out of high school during her senior year and with the support of my grandmother, began to
work different jobs to support my sister.
I just want to share that at times, it seems that her decision not to complete school drives my mother the most. She is maniacal about young women
completing their education and pursing advance degrees. She is especially passionate about her daughters, which of course includes me, completing
their education. But that's fine, it's not like I have ever experienced any "pressure" to succeed. (LOL)
After giving birth to my sister, my mother worked odd jobs for the next few years, and then she gave birth to me, her second daughter. I often hear that

9. My Mother Essay
My mother has had the greatest influence on me. Growing Up she has taught me many things. She has helped me many times and still does. I have
learned many lessons with her helping me. Responsibility is one of the very important things she has taught me. How to be a good person around
others that are not. My mother has been and still is the only parent I see every day. While being with her I have learned many things. She has taught
me to be responsible for my things like my clothing and art supplies, around people, and my siblings. At home I have to finish my chores sweeping,
mopping, washing laundry, cleaning of the tables and the counter top, and sometimes clean the yard. Most of the time I have to help my sisters with
their laundry or sweeping, and sometimes cook for my family when my mother and grandmother are not home. When I have too much work at
home and schoolwork my mother would help me finish my chores and we will be free for the rest of the day and when that happens we all spend
time as a family and go eat or watch a movie. I have learned lessons while living with my mother and a big family. A lesson I have learned was
never add too much salt in my rice and soup. Do not add a bunch of soap into the washer machine or I will have to clean it up myself and to sew but
do not push a needle up between two cloths while your thumb is in the way. Mother was busy helping my sisters with their laundry and the food was
not prepared. I had nothing to do so she called my name

10. My Mother Tongue Essay
Language is simply a tool for people of the universe to communicate with one another and it makes the World more complicated but also interesting.
Language makes you share something, makes people understand you through expressing yourself or your opinion. Starting from the very early stages
of human life there've been lots of various languages which were the ways for the connection among populations. Now, in our modern days we have
many languages from the very famous and international ones to the languages of small communities. Every culture has its own main language and
people value their own language differently from many aspects. For some people speaking in your own "mother tongue" where you must speak the

It's something that a person learns from birth, it's a first language, it's a native language etc. But here in the article, it's something associated with the
Amy Tan's mother and her tongue, she speaks her own language, there's a special communication between them. "...But to me my mother's English
is perfectly clear, perfectly natural. It's my mother tongue" The author mainly writes about the relationship between her and her mother, and also
the effect of "broken English" in their life. She was born in the USA, California differently from her mother who was born in China and then
migrated to the USA. She describes herself as a language lover, a simple writer who likes thinking about the power of language, creativities,
imaginations, emotions and ideas it can evoke. She's not an expert on English but enjoys being herself with her identity, it's not important where she
comes from or which language she speaks for herself. But, for the people around her and her family it's a great deal sometimes. Not having enough
knowledge in a particular language or being not able to express yourself while you're intelligent actually is a serious issue for those people. She is
lucky about being
