I will start by stating that I believe a supervisor at Ford Motor Company should have and display
leadership qualities including a high level of integrity, a strong work ethic, great communication skills
and motivational skills, along with the abilities to learn and adjust. I believe these qualities are key in
succeeding as a supervisor. Through my education and work experiences I have been fortunate enough to
learn how to become a better leader and I am ready to embrace the opportunity of helping Ford Motor
Company take the next steps in becoming a more productive, efficient and safe working environment.
We have a lot of new technology inside our facilities and with that comes new workers as well
and our supervisors should reflect these changes meaning we need people who embrace the new
technology era we are embarking on, as well as can understand how to be hands on and complete daily
tasks at an efficient level without solely relying on technology. With my degree I have a strong
background in computer technology and while working in this plant I have continued to display the
abilities to learn and adapt while producing quality materials and promoting safety first.
Worker Safety should be the top priority of all Ford employees and I know from experience that
it carries even more weight when this idea is thoroughly expressed from management. We all know that
high quality efficient production is vital to company success but by keeping safety as the top priority it
shows the workforce that compromising safety will not be a tool used for production and I believe that
creates a better and more productive working environment because people that know their well being is at
the forefront rather than something looked at in hindsight seem to work more efficiently.
I believe my education and working experiences along with my integrity and great work ethic
have prepared me to embrace the challenge of helping the Dearborn Stamping Plant achieve its goals of
being the safest and most efficient plant while producing the highest quality of materials and that is why I
am a great candidate for a supervisor position.
