Cubic-Ruiyi Made Great Technical Breakthrough in High-end Automobile Emission
Testing Equipment Before National VI Comes
If you go to buy a car or inspect a car, you often hear the national VI standard, car sales
will also tell you to try to buy a car in line with the national VI B model. You may be

National VI A and National VI B
The National VI Standard, known as the "National Phase 6 Motor Vehicle Emission
Standard", mainly involves the following four standards, the most stringent in history,
national VI B, will be fully implemented on July 1, 2023.

Before July 1, 2020, the transition limit for gasoline vehicles is 6.0x10^12/km
According to the emission standard data in the table above, the emission requirements of
carbon monoxide, non-methane hydrocarbon, nitrogen oxides and PM fine particles are
more stringent than those of national VI A. In addition, "National VI" also adopted the
principle of fuel neutrality, which means that emission limits are the same regardless of
which fuel is used. In the "National V" phase, diesel models have looser emission
standards than gasoline engines.
The emission standards of National VI will be strictly implemented in some regions
starting from June 2018, with the implementation of National VI A starting from July 1,
2020 and National VI B starting from July 1, 2023. "VI A" is the transitional stage between
"V" and "VI", while "VI B" is the real "VI" emission standard. Different from light vehicles
and heavy diesel vehicles, at present, the pollutant emission of motorcycles is still
implemented in the "National IV" standard, and there are even a large number of non-
road engines and construction machinery in China are still on the road to implement the
"National III" and "National IV" standards.

According to national V and national VI standards, new engines should be tested for
exhaust pollutants on the dynamometer bench. The engine lab emission testing system
includes the engine emission testing system and the constant volume sampling system
(CVS) to accurately analyze engine exhaust. The system should be able to continuously
measure CO, CO2, CH4NMHC (non-methane total hydrocarbon), NOx and other
gaseous pollutants and dust concentration PM and particle number PN, as well as
exhaust mass flow, and record them in the computer system.
Cubic-Ruiyi belongs to Cubic Sensor and Instrument Co., Ltd. (stock code: 688665) is a

industry, in the infrared spectroscopic NDIR, light scattering detection, ultrasonic,
ultraviolet difference UVDOAS absorption spectrum, thermal conductivity, such as laser

emission testing equipment, which can meet the emission requirements of national VI
standards, as well as the relevant emission requirements of motorcycles, off-road
engines and equipment.
Gasboard-9801 Direct extraction engine emission testing equipment: With integrated
high precision heating type hydrogen flame ionization detection technology (HFID), UV
differential absorption spectrum gas analysis technology (UV-DOAS), non-spectral
infrared gas analysis technology (NDIR), it could simultaneously measure the
concentration of THC, NOx, CO, CO2, O2 and other gases in the engine exhaust, and
also could expand the particulate matter measurement module; Its UV-DOAS can directly
measure NOx, without conversion furnace which is maintenance free; simple operation,
support the engine exhaust pollutants specific emission automatic calculation display;
High measurement accuracy, and the performance reaches the standard of imported
equipment.

Gasboard-9802 engine discharge full-flow dilution constant volume sampling system
(CVS) : it is composed of main Venturi tube cabinet, sampling control cabinet, air bag, fan,
dilution channel, filter and other components. It has good stability and high accuracy, and
the systematic error is less than 2%.Vehicle and engine dilution can be realized by
adopting and analyzing integrated operation, which is convenient and fast. The control
software adopts more humanized graphic design, convenient and easy to use while also
supporting real-time data acquisition, recording, analysis, export and other functions.

Gasboard-9805 portable emission detection equipment (PEMS)
Before the National VI Standard, the type certification of new engines or new models is
mainly based on laboratory data to verify whether the exhaust emissions meet the
standard. However, there is a big difference between the engine running state in the
laboratory and the actual road driving state, and the laboratory data may not really reflect
the actual emissions of the engine. In order to solve the above problems, the test of
portable engine emission Detection system (PEMS) is added for the first time in The
National VI Standard for heavy vehicles in China (HJ 1014-2020). That is, the portable
engine emission detection system is installed on the vehicle running on the actual road to
measure the pollutant emissions of the vehicle in the actual driving process. The national
VI standard requires all engines and vehicles subject to type inspection to undergo the
above tests, and only new engines and vehicles that pass the test can be manufactured,
imported, sold and put into service or registered. The implementation date is December 1,
2022.
Gasboard-9805 portable emission detection equipment (PEMS), used for non-road, road
(light vehicles and heavy diesel vehicles). PEMS Gasboard-9805 can achieve CO, CO2,
NO, NO2, THC emission concentration measurement, as well as particulate matter,
exhaust flow, GPS data, ambient temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure
measurement. It has the functions of test process guidance, automatic calculation of total
emissions, export test report and so on. The high precision NDIR sensor technology of
rapid response is adopted to measure CO+CO2. The heated UVDOAS sensor can
directly measure NO and NO2, with high precision and no reformer required. The product
adopts modular design, portable battery supports more than 6 hours of endurance, the
system has good environmental adaptability, is not affected by vehicle vibration,
atmospheric pressure and environmental temperature and humidity changes, meet the
requirements of in-vehicle emission detection.

In response to the most stringent National VI B in history, Hubei Ruiyi relies on the parent

testing systems: from engine laboratory emission testing, to portable on-board testing of
in-use vehicles, to product serialization of exhaust gas analysis and testing equipment at
I/M stations, effectively promoting the technology upgrade of high-end scientific

From the basic components of the sensor to the analyzer, and then to the emission
