“Adult education to the community needs to be provided in culturally sensitive
ways with interpreters and translated documents (e.g. Maay Maay for the
Somali community).”
“Parents need support, resources, information, and consequences to better
restrict alcohol and drug use/abuse of their children. Too many parents think
“teens will be teens.”
“I don’t think fines are the answer to a drug recovery. I think if a child is under
the influence it should handled as an addiction, not a crime/punishment”
“The belief that public intoxication and drug paraphernalia are funny and
don’t matter has become too prevalent.”
“Face to face social interactions which incorporates the values on a drug free
zone should be a main focus. Make the youth feel proud of being a part of
something such as public speaking, politics, business, and much more.”
