Predeal is a mountain resort town located in Brașov County, Romania at over 1,000 meters elevation, making it the highest town in Romania. It sits in the Prahova Valley and administers three neighboring villages. Predeal has a German name meaning "before the pass" and a Hungarian name meaning "meadow before the forest".
