Innovation, regulatory compliance, consumer acceptance, fraud risk mitigation, and cross platform capability are major issues for new solution providers. When combined with managing the convergence with established eCommerce and PoS offerings, this becomes a real challenge. What’s it really like to bring a new payment solution to the market? At the last count there are 160+ companies worldwide either providing or looking to provide solutions for the SME Mobile sector. The early providers of solutions started on a mission 3 years ago to either create a fully acquirer certified and card scheme compliant smartphone solution for the small mobile merchant or to drive big changes in card scheme regulation to allow alternative offerings. In this presentation Peter Turner from CreditCall shares the highs and lows that companies face when attempting to bring innovation to mobile payments.
