The Cable C course provides the knowledge skills needed to assemble the 3-core 150 mm2
aluminum main cables in the Siemens Wind Power turbine tower in a correct and safe
manner in accordance with the Siemens Wind Power assembly and work instructions.
The participant has gained knowledge and skills in the following fields:
• Recognize and describe the functionality of the various tools
associated with the installation of 3-core 150 mm2 aluminum cables
• Explain the common method to cut, strip and mount aluminum cables
• Demonstrate how to cut and strip off the insulation of aluminum
cables using the correct tools and techniques and in accordance with
the assembly instruction
• Perform a correct assembling of an aluminum connection by using a
crimp connector and the pressure tool
• Demonstrate correctly mounting and heating of the heat-sensitive
shrink sleeves
The participant is qualified to:
• Perform cutting, stripping and assembling of 3-core 150 mm2
aluminum cables in Siemens wind turbines by use of proper tools and
by following the Siemens Wind Power assembly and work instructions
