1. Rekopane Splicing and Testing Proposal.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Rekopane Splicing and Testing to you.
I am an independent Fibre Optic Technician with 18 years in the fibre environment including splicing of
OPWG and ADSS cables and testing of fibre and Power meter light sources. My experience and skills
include:
 Fibre optic stripping, cleaving, splicing, recoating and dressing.
 Hand soldering, and harness and PCB assembly.
 Mechanical assembly of sensors, test fixtures and electronics chassis.
 Following specific workmanship instructions, multitasking.
 Competence in using standard fibre optic preparation and splicing equipment.
 Experience in using standard electronic test equipment, including Sumitomo T- 36 Fusion Splicer
and the Testing machine EXFO.
 Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly expanding and changing environment.
 Excellent manual dexterity and visual acuity, high attention to detail.
 Ability to use technical terms to communicate verbally and in writing
I have completed various jobs for ESKOM and Transnet and have recently completed an OPGW job for
Ibubezi in Kroonstad. MGC in Polokwane. Stefanuti Stoks in Cape Town and Witbank.
