Bruce Milletto

Bruce Milletto is the founder of the American Barista & Coffee School, and President of
Bellissimo Coffee InfoGroup, a company he started in 1993. He is recognized by the
press and the coffee industry internationally as “the voice of the specialty coffee
industry,” and has been interviewed by, or quoted in: the New York Times, the Wall
Street Journal, Time Magazine, Newsweek, 60 Minutes, Kiplinger’s, Starbucks Annual
Report, and Forbes Magazine, to name a few.

Bruce has owned three successful retail gourmet coffee operations and has assisted
numerous clients in creating new coffee start-ups around the world. As a consultant, he
has worked with individual and corporate clients in Asia, Mexico, Europe, the Middle
East, and North America. In 2003, the Specialty Coffee Association of America [SCAA]
named Bruce Milletto one of its 20 “Coffee Luminaries,” and in 2004, he appeared in
Gourmet Retailer’s 25th anniversary issue on the list of the 25 individuals who helped
shape the specialty coffee industry.

Bruce was the keynote speaker at the first Greek Coffee Industry Forum in 2001, and has
provided keynote speeches and led seminars at all of North America’s major coffee trade
shows, as well as coffee events and trade shows in Europe. Bruce was a featured speaker
at CoffeeBiz 2006 in Thessaloniki, Greece and served as a WBC Judge at the Greek
Barista Championships held in conjunction with CoffeeBiz. In 2009, Bruce was a
featured speaker at Encafe in Bahia, Brazil, and Let’s Talk Coffee in Managua,
Nicaragua. In 2010, he was a featured speaker at Anacafe in Guatemala.

Bruce is the author of Effective + Essential Marketing for the Specialty Coffee Retailer
and co-author of Bean Business Basics, Bellissimo’s 740-page start-up/operational
manual.He is also an award-winning film producer/director of coffee-industry films,
including “The Passionate Harvest” and “Espresso 101.”

in the specialty coffee industry. Thousands of coffee business owners from around the
world have benefited from the company’s expertise and created successful, profitable
operations, from single cafés to drive-thrus to major chains across the country and

American and International entrepreneurs.

The American Barista & Coffee School [ABC's] is the premier professional facility in the
world for coffee business entrepreneurs who want to start up and operate a specialty
coffee business. At ABC's, attendees walk away with a comprehensive understanding of
the retail coffee industry and the confidence to open their own successful coffee
operations. ABC's was the first school in the history of the specialty coffee industry to
offer a complete coffee business educational workshop combined with hands-on barista
training. Since its inception in 2004, more than 700 entrepreneurs from 47 states and 40+
countries have attended ABC's programs. With the opening of an ABC’s affiliate in
Beijing, China in August of 2009, ABC’s became the first U.S. coffee training facility to
expand into the International arena.

ABC's was the first school in the history of the specialty coffee industry to offer a complete coffee business educational workshop combined with hands-on barista training. Since its inception in 2004, more than 700 entrepreneurs from 47 states and 40+ countries have attended ABC's programs. With the opening of an ABC’s affiliate in Beijing, China in August of 2009, ABC’s became the first U.S. coffee training facility to expand into the International arena.
