This document discusses the use of modular distance learning in education. It introduces modular learning as an alternative to traditional face-to-face instruction that has become necessary due to COVID-19 school closures. Modular learning allows students to learn at their own pace and take responsibility for their education. The purpose of this study is to explore how modules are used in teaching and learning. It outlines objectives to engage students in discussion, apply new information, reflect on learning, and evaluate progress. A methodology is described that involves collecting student and teacher outputs through modular assignments while following health protocols. Potential benefits include developing student time management, allowing better self-evaluation, and enabling focused learning.
2. Introduction
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic has caused the
disruption of classes, affecting billions of learners in most
countries especially in the Philippines. In the Philippines, this
is the beginning of the new norms in education, a change
from face-to-face delivery to distance learning.
The concept of “modular distance learning” is strictly linked
to the idea of a flexible curriculum, which provides all the
concerns in education with a framework to establish clear
and realistic learning objectives.

3. 3
Modular distance learning is used in almost all subjects in
school. It is a recent development based on programmed
learning; a well established and universally recognized
phenomenon. It considering the individual differences among
the learners which necessitate the planning for adoption of
the most appropriate teaching techniques in order to help the
individual grow and develop at her/his own pace.
This study aims to explore the use of modules in teaching
and learning.
4. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
Modular approach to teaching enables the
learner to have control over his/her learning
and accepts greater responsibility for
learning. It demands greater maturity on the
part of the learner, the modules is more
appropriate for more mature students.
5. This concept paper has the following objectives :
1. To engage with each other in discussion and with the
information.
2. To practice, apply and analyze new information
3. To reflect and articulate students acquired knowledge.
4. To regard their learning and accomplishment of module.
5. To extend their learning through enriching activities and
evaluation.

Data gathering uses a method that involves
the participation of students and teachers in
modular learning and teaching through the
collection of outputs in the strand of
Humanities and Social Sciences without
violating the health protocol.

We have already made an Introduction and we
thought about it carefully then when we
finished the Introduction we are also doing the
Purpose of the Study.
In terms of Objectives, I have an assigned
group that can do it well, when it’s not, we
work together and we made it well.
In Methodology, at first we didn’t know how
to do it, then we searched for how to do it,
we did it well, even though it was difficult.
In the Timeline of the Study we did it well
and got everyone’s opinion.
Our Benefits of the Study at first we did
wrong then we repeated it and again we did
it.

8. Benefits of the study
This study will enable the students to be more patient in
finding their own ways to finish their lessons.
Students will learn how to value their time. The students
learn time management and scheduling. Many students
nowadays find it fulfilling to manage their time in doing
the modules.
Teachers amidst the busy schedule find their way to
challenge. It is this time when they tend to put all their
time and effort in doing their modules into a realization.
The lesson put into one module alone is a very rigorous
thing.

several advantages to a
modular learning. The
most important one is
that it allows for better
evaluation, more focused
revision and
improvement.
insights
Modular teaching is
effective in teaching
process because in
this modular approach
the students learn at
their own pace.
