Construction of my media magazine - double page spread
1. CONSTRUCTION OF MY MEDIA
MAGAZINE – DOUBLE PAGE
SPREAD
I used the program Adobe Fireworks to create my magazine.
2. The line I am
using to show the
mid point in the
page so I do not
cross over when
adding text.
This is the first stage of the production of my double page spread. I have
chosen the two images I am going to use, with the names of the artists. I
used the relevant font for ‘Ghanaian sunrise’ to that of the front cover so
that everything links together. I also have added the name of the
magazine, again in the form it is shown on the front cover so that it is
recognisable to the audience throughout the magazine.
3. As the images are of the main artists and the it is the headlining
story I decided to enlarge them to make them stand on the page.
As I also edited both the images I think they are much more
effective. I have also began inserting the text onto the page.
4. As you can see I have started to input more of the ‘question & answer’ type text. At
the moment I am just trying out different ways to present the text, in terms of
colours – hence why there are different colours dotted over the page. I have also
added in the album ore order, with an added image of a CD that I have created.
This adds boldness to the page and attracts the audience in.
5. I have now added all the ‘Questions & Answers’ text into my magazine but as
you can see it is looking slightly bare. From various feedback from my target
audience, I have decided to add a tiny bit more colour in the text, just so that it
breaks it up and is easier for the audience to read and pick out parts of the text.
6. I have added a coupon into the magazine as it
needed something extra. I have also changed the
quotes to a different colour – this way they stand
out and can be seen at a glance.
7. Having a white background can look plain so I decided to try out different
backgrounds, just to give the page a bit more depth. The image to the right
was the best I came out with. I am going use this design as I feel it is much
less plain and just helps attract the reader in.
