 Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and
administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related issues to foster a positive work environment.
 Provide guidance and conduct research to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and
regulations as they relate to Human Resource Management.
 Monitor trends and recommend benefit design changes to senior management which achieve strategic
objectives.
 Serve as self-insured medical plan administrator and provides appropriate plan implementation, facilitation,
analysis, reporting, and support for all benefit plans.
 Monitor provider service contracts, and implement recommendations for improvements.
 Audit medical, pharmaceutical, dental, life, AD&D, vision and long term disability enrollment, deductions,
and premium invoices.
 Assist Director with staff management, development and training.
 Partner closely with the Controller, Legal, IT, and Payroll departments, among others, to provide expertise
on all aspects of benefit planning.
 Direct, develop, and deliver open enrollment and new employee benefit orientation.
 Respond to governmental agencies or attorneys regarding benefit plan issues.
 Stay abreast of benefit industry and regulatory changes and recommend appropriate actions.
 Develop and deliver all benefit documentation to include plan documents, benefit enrollment forms, SPD’s
and all enrollment communications.
 Ensure that all benefit plan designs, changes, and enrollments are in compliance with DOL, IRS, ACA, and
COBRA requirements.
 Provide support for union contract negotiations regarding benefit programs.
 Monitor IRS guidance and tax legislation; oversees flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and serves as the
Section 125 FSA plan administrator.
 Serve as the 403(b) plan administrator and is responsible for institutional compliance with the relevant
regulations.
 Assist HR Director with labor relations issues to include employee discipline, grievances and interpretation
of eight collective bargaining agreements.
 Intermediate functional skill level in PeopleSoft HRIS.
 Negotiate employee job descriptions and changes with union representatives.
Human Resources Executive Assistant to the V.P. of Human Resources March 2008 to 2011
 Prepared annual employee benefits booklet and distribute to employees.
 Prepared from rough draft all documents to support Vice President of Human Resources.
 Conducted annual benefits enrollment to include preparing necessary documents for individual employee
benefits selection and inputting data into the PeopleSoft Human Resource information system.
 Assisted with preparing the 403(b) plan document as well as answering employee inquiries.
 Assisted employees with resolving employee benefit issues and act as the employee liaison between the
employee and the insurance vendor.

 Processed payment requisitions and monitored budgets for the College
Activities office and twenty-five active clubs.
