The idea behind the “Plan to win” strategy was to improve customer experience, collect customer
feedback and utilize the data to optimize business and sales operations .
McDonalds corporation has taken this idea a step forward by acquiring “Dynamic yield” which is a
machine learning tool that provides personalized user engagement solutions and customer
experiences

• With Dynamic yield McDonalds can create a
personalized customer ordering service based on
customer health and fitness records and provide meal
suggestions that meet the customer’s health
requirements
Implementing Dynamic
yield for healthy meal
recommendations
1.Data Collection: This will involve
collecting the right customer health
and fitness records.
• Dynamic yield allows for
interoperability of data and can
collect data from different data
sources (e.g. ihealth, fit-bit,
google fit)
• The corporation already stores
nutrition and ingredient
information of every menu.
2.Data Aggregation: This is
compiling of data gathered with
intent to prepare the combined
datasets for data processing.
3. Machine Learning : Algorithm
creation and testing

Enhances customer healthy eating habits
Reduces public accusations of the company as
the major cause of obesity in America
May eliminate very elaborate and expensive
healthy eating fitness programs and advisers
Individuals may take active control and
monitor effectively their dietary content since
it is made available on the ordering interface
Limitations of
this platform
Collecting the data may be a
limiting factor
The machine learning process
may involve a complex set of
algorithms
Recommendation and conclusion
• I believe this is an idea the corporation can do some research on.
Dynamic Yield program is still at its infancy and there is room for
R&D, DY has a lot of prospects and if properly integrated into the
corporation BI practices we can say McDonalds is really prepared for
the 4th industrial revolution.
• Since the corporation is really concerned about customers experience,
this idea would go a long way to show how involved they are with the
customers , by not just selling food to them or creating an avenue where
they can select their own choice of meals (i.e. using Made for you
system ), but also recommending personalized healthy dietary menus
that suits customer’s health and fitness needs.

  • 2. The idea behind the “Plan to win” strategy was to improve customer experience, collect customer feedback and utilize the data to optimize business and sales operations . Benefits of integrating Dynamic yield into McDonald's business intelligence platforms provide a better customer data platform (CDP) that will integrate disparate customer data into a single source create explicit customer target segments that will help for efficient market segmentation and target marketing with affinity-based personalization and cluster analysis ,implement industry specific personalization campaigns provide models that will ensure agile execution methods

Implementing Dynamic yield to encourage healthy dietary habits • Imagine a fast food company that pays attention to enhancing customer's dietary habit • MYS- allows customers choose order dressing • How will this work? • With Dynamic yield McDonalds can create a personalized customer ordering service based on customer health and fitness records and provide meal suggestions that meet the customer’s health requirements

Benefits of implementation of this platform Enhances customer healthy eating habits Reduces public accusations of the company as the major cause of obesity in America May eliminate very elaborate and expensive healthy eating fitness programs and advisers Individuals may take active control and monitor effectively their dietary content since it is made available on the ordering interface

  • 10. Recommendation and conclusion • I believe this is an idea the corporation can do some research on. Dynamic Yield program is still at its infancy and there is room for R&D, DY has a lot of prospects and if properly integrated into the corporation BI practices we can say McDonalds is really prepared for the 4th industrial revolution. • Since the corporation is really concerned about customers experience, this idea would go a long way to show how involved they are with the customers , by not just selling food to them or creating an avenue where they can select their own choice of meals (i.e. using Made for you system ), but also recommending personalized healthy dietary menus that suits customer’s health and fitness needs.
