My Essay on the dangers of
drinking in Old
Environments especially in
Alcoholic or heavy Drinking
quantities or amounts and
re engaging a social
friendship with a person or
persons who drink heavily
or worse Alcoholically
life would be easy if we
actually did what other
people especially health
professionals asked us too
do or even just suggested
what is in our best
interests , as everyone i
know knows life s not Easy .
If anything life is damn hard
but here is only a few steps
the heavy drinker or
Alcoholic can take , to make
their life easier or more
manageable
it deals with not once
admitted if you are lucky too
a de-fox or Rehab my focus
is not on private or public
but on the actual heavy
drinker or Alcoholic and as
part of their discharge plan
where the safety and
reliability of a health facility
is quickly taken away and
the clients has too quickly
come to terms with the real
world , the real world is a lot
tougher too deal with .If you
are lucky too have gone
through a re-Hab or de-Tox
if you are going too have a
working recovery , then you
sadly usually have too
make changes too your life .
Sadly the alcoholic or heavy
drinker is not given as many
choices in life compared too
the social or non Alcoholic
drinker , the choices are
stark and confronting , keep
drinking and your health
can get so bad that dying
from alcohol related illness
is very likely , trouble with
the law or legal matters
including being charged
with many possible offences
is more likely if you continue
too drink heavily or
Alcoholically , it is a matter
of time , the most common
and topical at the moment is
getting in control of a
automobile or other form of
transport and being lucky
enough , to be picked up
once or many times for
being over the Alcoholic
limit too drive a car or
transport , worse still is
being in an accident or
injuring or killing a innocent
person or persons . I find
this would be very hard too
live with conscious
knowledge that you hurt or
killed an innocent person or
persons even before being
charged with the fact is the
guilt of knowing that while
under the influence of
Alcohol you injured or killed
an innocent bystander or
injured and killed them in an
accident , The other option
is being placed in a Mental
health facility as a patient of
that facility for an amount of
time until you prove you are
safe to re -engage society
and are not a safety issue
too the community or
yourself
This is why it is important
too make the changes when
you have fresh recovery
and hopefully more resolve
and mental strength and the
clarity too make some of the
hard decisions needed to
be made too eventually
make a full recovery from
the grip of Heavy alcohol or
have Alcoholic problem or
nature ,Old environments
hard many of us and myself
included thought of Alcohol
while being in a special or
particular venue and will still
have the mental sensations
be they cravings while
going back after a medical
rest too these venues , don't
worry it is a very human trait
too feel these sensations it
maybe a smell or the
company at these venues
that trigger these Alcohol
related sensations , the best
thing a former heavy drinker
or Alcoholic can do is not go
too these venues , try a
form of replacement
strategies or try and find a
new place too go where no
alcohol is served but you
can still enjoy a nice non
alcoholic time and feel still
included in society , there
are many groups and
venues that offer this non
alcoholic choice for the
heavy drinker or Alcoholic ,
just because you or myself
is socialising doesn't mean
we need an Alcoholic
beverage too enjoy our
evening , sometimes and
this is the hardest make an
" Appearance " at a new or
old venue where we used
too drink Alcohol . as stated
nothing is easy in Life ,
make plans pre-prepare for
any possibility of being
offered or straight out given
a beverage of Alcohol ,
drink any kind of non
alcoholic beverage or
fluids , if anything you are
probably inadvertently
saving the host money and
be pre-pared too leave early
or at a moment the cravings
or sensations begin , make
sure this is a possibility and
can be done with a friend ,
partner or family member
ready too help out transport
wise or even your self if you
have drunken no alcohol it
is very hard too be over the
limit , if stopped and asked
too provide a alcoholic
sample usually by the police
, make sure you have made
strong plans and your
accomplice is ready and
prepared too leave the
engagement at the time of
you , the heavy drinker or
Alcoholic choice and
timing .Once again it
sounds easy but you will be
surprised , how sadly just
an engagement , old
environment can stop or
destroy a promising
Recovery , despite all
honest and good intentions
and even the best and
strongest plans can go
wrong and no one will miss
you if you and your
accomplice leave early , we
humans like too think that
we are much more
important , than in reality ,
despite who we are , what
we wear or who we work for
, it may even be a relief too
the host who is wary of your
previous behaviour at
previous engagements
Friends , Partners and
Family members , many old
colleagues will feel
threatened as drinking
problems, by raising or
have raised the issue of
much you drink together ,
you might not know it but
you may have made them
feel uncomfortable and
made them reflect on how
much Alcohol they are
intaking and is it to much or
not social are you not
drinking like a Gentleman or
Lady , is the number in a
potentially progressive
problem rising and
becoming unmanageable ,
Are they also heavy
drinkers or Alcoholics and
now do they have a
problem as well , spending
time away from a drinking
problem be it in a medical
facility or just a social
decision too find nw friend
who are now like minded
and want too cut back or
give up alcohol for good ,
some people are
geographically in the wrong
spot for the heavy drinker or
alcoholic , they can live or
rent in same house , flat ,
apartment ect or maybe
neighbours or in the same
road or street , not having
any contact may be just
about impossible and
usually the colleague will be
keen on resuming the
previous way of catching up
for an alcoholic drink , Once
again Life is not easy and i
have heard it said in
Alcoholic support groups , "
that by sticking with the
strength is the best way
forward " but many who say
such things have a long
time of Abstinence already
built up and the newcomer
may find this harder than
easier too put such sayings
and actions into place , no
one likes losing colleagues
but from personal
experience i have found
that this was and is the best
way too go forward and
have a strong recovery from
previous problems with my
Alcoholic drinking and yes
good ties were severed ,
but this usually leads too
new friends especially if you
en-gage as part of your
recovery , the help and
support groups , many of
these people you can
identify with and they
maybe at the same or
similar stage of recovery
from Heavy or Alcoholic
drinking , you give yourself
a good chance of making
friends with such people ,
especially if you are
prepared too be Honest and
share your experiences , it
certainly rarely hurts such a
new friendship and some of
these friendships replace
the old friendships and from
personal experience tend
too be long term friendships
There is my personal
experience and beliefs on
old environments and
people when trying too
break free of heavy drinking
or Alcoholic problems ,
some is good and others
just a personal opinion , Life
is not easy , never has been
probably will never be so ,
but with support and a
desire too beat the Heavy
drinking Alcoholic problem ,
life indeed from my
personal experience does
slowly but surely get better ,
you have too be prepared
too make Changes in your
life , easier said then done ,
Good luck and here is too a
new sober Life

Ollie "
