Christine G. Russell, QPA, QKA, AIF, RMA
Director of Training and Education
PenServ Plan Services, Inc.
Christine Russell is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals
and Actuaries (ASPPA) and has earned both the Qualified Pension Administrator
(QPA) and the Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designations from that
organization. She has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF)
designation through the Center for Fiduciary Studies, as well as the Retirement
Management Analyst (RMA) designation through the Retirement Income
Industry Association (RIIA). Christine has over 20 years’ experience working with
qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, including IRA’s, SEP’s, 403(b)’s,
Profit Sharing, ESOP’s, Rabbi Trusts and 401(k) plans. She maintains FINRA
Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses.
Christine began her professional career at Delaware Group of Funds in
Philadelphia, PA, as a Retirement Specialist and subject matter expert where
she supported the broker/dealer community in their retirement plan sales
efforts, creating marketing programs and performing sales presentations across
the country. Next moving to Wilmington Trust Company in Wilmington, DE,
Christine established and managed the 401(k) department. After Wilmington
Trust, Christine managed a group of large 401(k) accounts at The Vanguard
Group in Valley Forge, PA. Her typical client maintained $200-$400 million in
plan assets.
Christine came to Dreyfus Investments in 1999 as a Regional Vice President
and Retirement Plans Specialist for the financial intermediary channel. In 2002
she moved to Institutional Sales focusing on bank/trust relationships. As a
Senior Vice President in Strategic Account Sales, she functioned as the national
retirement plan speaker and consulting resource for Dreyfus clients. In 2005,
she was named Director of Retirement Transitions, heading a major firm-wide
initiative advancing IRA Rollovers and retirement income planning.
Since 2008 she has been an independent retirement consultant, serving financial
services firms in their retirement based efforts. Her clients include J.P. Morgan
Asset Management and Legg Mason & Co., LLC, as well as several smaller firms.
With her vast experience, she brings a wealth of sales and marketing knowledge
to the banking and brokerage community. Christine’s mission is to provide
strategic support and expertise, thereby allowing the financial community to
meet their clients’ goals effectively.
