We investigated the applicability and efficiency of the MLMC approach to the Henry-like problem with uncertain porosity, permeability and recharge. These uncertain parameters were modelled by random fields with three independent random variables. Permeability is a function of porosity. Both functions are time-dependent, have multi-scale behaviour and are defined for two layers. The numerical solution for each random realisation was obtained using the well-known ug4 parallel multigrid solver. The number of random samples required at each level was estimated by calculating the decay of the variances and the computational cost for each level. The MLMC method was used to compute the expected value and variance of several QoIs, such as the solution at a few preselected points $(t,\bx)$, the solution integrated over a small subdomain, and the time evolution of the freshwater integral. We have found that some QoIs require only 2-3 mesh levels and samples from finer meshes would not significantly improve the result. Other QoIs require more grid levels.

Microprocessors & Microcontrollers: Interrupt controller 8259; The 8259 is known as the Programmable Interrupt Controller (PIC) microprocessor. In 8085 and 8086 there are five hardware interrupts and two hardware interrupts respectively. Bu adding 8259, we can increase the interrupt handling capability. This chip combines the multi-interrupt input source to single interrupt output. This provides 8-interrupts from IR0 to IR7. Let us see some features of this microprocessor. This chip is designed for 8085 and 8086. It can be programmed either in edge triggered, or in level triggered mode We can mask individual bits of Interrupt Request Register. By cascading 8259 chips, we can increase interrupts up to 64 interrupt lines Clock cycle is not needed. 8259 microprocessor can be programmed according to given interrupts condition and it can be provided either with level or edge-triggered interrupt level. It can be programmed to either work in 8085 or in 8086 microprocessors. Individual interrupt bits can be masked. By cascading Nine 8259’s in Master-Slave Configuration we can handle up to 64 interrupt pins. It contains 3 registers commonly known as ISR, IRR, IMR & there is 1 priority resolver (PR). Interrupt Request Register (IRR): It stores those bits which are requested for their interrupt services. Interrupt Service Register (ISR): It stores the interrupt levels which is currently being served. Interrupt Mask Register (IMR): It stores interrupt levels that have to be masked. These interrupt levels are already accepted by the 8259 microprocessor. Priority Resolver (PR): It examines all the 3 registers and sets the priority of interrupts and sets the interrupt levels in ISR which has the highest priority and the rest of the interrupt bit is IRR which is already accepted. SP/EN (low active pin): If its value is 1 it works in master mode & if its value=e is 0 then it works in slave mode. Cascade Buffer: It is used to cascade more number of Programmable Interrupt Controller to increase the interrupts handling capability up to 64 levels. Advantages: Interrupt management: The 8259 microprocessor is a specialized chip that is dedicated to managing interrupts, which can help to improve system performance and reduce the workload on the main CPU. Programmability: The 8259 microprocessor is programmable, which means that it can be customized to handle specific types of interrupts and to prioritize different interrupt requests. Compatibility: The 8259 microprocessor is compatible with a wide range of microprocessors, making it a popular choice for interrupt management in many different systems. The purpose of Integrated Test Rig is to assess performance of Fuel Cooled Oil Cooler (FCOC), HP Pump & Oil Pump prior to fitment on Aero Engine. The design of rig is such that it can cater to individual testing of individual LRU or integrated testing of all the LRU’s installed together (in combination). The pumps under test shall be mounted directly on the high-speed electric motor flange through adapter quill shaft assembly. Variable speed drives shall be provided for all the pumps under testing. The rig shall cater for real time monitoring and recording of performance parameters. KEY FEATURES Key features of this Rig are as follows: - 1. It has separate power packs for both the fluids i.e. ATF Power pack for ATF Fluid, OX Power Pack for OX-27 Oil. 2. This Rig is designed for high temperature Application. It works on 200 deg. Celsius. 3. Two Dedicated heating systems have been integrated with this Rig to raise the temperature of OX-27 Oil. 4. In both Power Packs insulated tanks are being used, which is good for safe operation and safety of operator. 5. This rig is designed in such a way, that it’s OX power pack is in its left side, ATF Power pack is in right Side and test bed is in Centre. 6. A big Test bed have been provided for smooth testing of UUT’s. 7. All piping is being insulated for safe operation and maintenance. 8. It comprises with DAQ System. 9. This rig can test several components at a time, together or separately. Application All the UUT’s are mounted on HTFE-25 Engine after successful performance testing of those. Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits. To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups. Technology For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did. While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis. Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad. Age and Gender When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same. Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers. Race Affects Attitudes As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

The purpose of Integrated Test Rig is to assess performance of Fuel Cooled Oil Cooler (FCOC), HP Pump & Oil Pump prior to fitment on Aero Engine. The design of rig is such that it can cater to individual testing of individual LRU or integrated testing of all the LRU’s installed together (in combination). The pumps under test shall be mounted directly on the high-speed electric motor flange through adapter quill shaft assembly. Variable speed drives shall be provided for all the pumps under testing. The rig shall cater for real time monitoring and recording of performance parameters. KEY FEATURES Key features of this Rig are as follows: - 1. It has separate power packs for both the fluids i.e. ATF Power pack for ATF Fluid, OX Power Pack for OX-27 Oil. 2. This Rig is designed for high temperature Application. It works on 200 deg. Celsius. 3. Two Dedicated heating systems have been integrated with this Rig to raise the temperature of OX-27 Oil. 4. In both Power Packs insulated tanks are being used, which is good for safe operation and safety of operator. 5. This rig is designed in such a way, that it’s OX power pack is in its left side, ATF Power pack is in right Side and test bed is in Centre. 6. A big Test bed have been provided for smooth testing of UUT’s. 7. All piping is being insulated for safe operation and maintenance. 8. It comprises with DAQ System. 9. This rig can test several components at a time, together or separately. Application All the UUT’s are mounted on HTFE-25 Engine after successful performance testing of those. Application of this Rig are as follows: - 1. One of its application is to test LP Pump of HTFE-25. It is designed for functional testing of LP Pump. a. Free Flow Test b. Load Test 2. It is used to test HP Pump of HTFE-25. It is designed for functional testing of HP Pump. a. Free Flow Test b. Load Test 3. It is used to test Oil Pump of HTFE-25. It is designed for functional testing of Oil Pump. 4. It is used to test FCOC of HTFE-25.

Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits. To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups. Technology For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did. While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis. Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad. Age and Gender When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same. Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers. Race Affects Attitudes As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
