The new management came in 1996.Private sector participation was through Maju group.
1996 the new meltshop plant in Kemaman and Beam and section mill were commissioned.
The company was incorporated in 1982
We first started operation in 1985 at Kemaman producing Billet and Hot Briquetted Iron or HBI.
Then in 1993 the Bar and Wire Rod Mill was commissioned in Gurun.
In the same year Direct Reduced Iron Plant (DRI Plant) was commissioned iusing HYL III technology.
