QUESTION 1

1.In what ways does your media product
  use, develop challenge forms and
  conventions real media products
My media product develops forms and
 conventions of real media products
 because contrary to normal convention of
 romantic comedies my product involves
 the idea of sexuality which isn’t a very
 common convention in romantic comedies
 and so this is to show how sexuality can
 be a possible situation where romance
 and comedy is concerned.
HOW I USED
          CONVENTION
The film was shot using regular camera shots
like the establishing shot the long shot the two
shot and the wide shot. For the misc-en-scene
the costumes used were intended to show a
kind of college feel and create the appearance
of the characters as being students with the
use of hoodies and caps and jeans for the
guys and leggings and t-shirts for the girls..
For sound I picked a very comical song for the
sound track.
USE OF CAMERA SHOTS,
 SOUND AND MIS-EN SCENE TO
   DEVELOP CONVENTION
Particularly the use of two shots, these were
used inorder to show or create the level of
intimacy between two characters. And when
the two characters engage in conversation
the two shot makes easy for the viewer to
identify with who is speaking and what sort of
emotion is registered on their faces.
REASONS FOR DEVELOPING FORMS
         AND CONVENTION

My group and I decided that normal convention was
obviously becoming boring and so a new tweak would attract
more viewers and maybe increase sales for our media
product. When viewers see the same story happening over
and over again they tend to get bored and may even
prejudge any other movies of the same genre prior to their
release this may cause a drop in sales because nobody will
be interested in paying for something they’ve already seen
happen before. Hence to keep our media product interesting
we incorporated the idea of sexuality into the mix.
