My Teacher Experience
I had a wonderful experience during my time at Mr. Palmieri's sixth grade classroom at Woodrow Wilson School in Bayonne, New Jersey. Mr.
Palmieri teaches three separate sixth grade classes of Mathematics. He and his students were very welcoming which generally increased my inspiration
to teach and pursue my career in education. While completing my field experience, I believe that I have fully grown professionally and academically.
I felt comfortable in my assigned classroom and I valued Mr. Palmieri's enthusiasm for learning. Mr. Palmieri constantly kept the class engaged in his
lessons and seemed to be well–liked by his students. For a teacher who was teaching a sixth grade diverse classroom, I found it impressive the way he
had control over his students. He was well–organized and made sure everyone stayed on task and asked questions when needed.
One thing that stood out the most was that he used different learning styles in his teaching. A few times he would encourage his students to work alone
on an assignment. Other times he would have his students come up to the board and solve the questions step by step in front of the class. Mr. Palmieri
also engaged his students in the lesson by showing a video regarding the lesson they were learning. Most of the students showed interest in the
classroom by eagerly raising their hands to solve the problem on the board. I found this strategy amazing since the teacher had a better understanding of
the students who were learning and

I Am A Professional Teacher Essay
To be a professional teacher, it takes skill to train young minds. Education is extremely important to go through. Teachers have many different
philosophies to choose from when teaching in a classroom. Out of the five philosophies, I ranked the highest in Essentialism and Progressivism. Both
of these philosophies are taught entirely different from each other. Essentialism is teacher–centered learning and expresses the teaching by the core
curriculum. Progressivism is student–centered learning and expresses the teaching by doing group work. I believe that a classroom should be divided
between using both philosophies. I believe that a teacher should stick to the core curriculum, but a teacher should also let the students learn by working
together in small groups. The teacher is still giving lectures in front of the classroom, but there is still group work throughout the week. From
experience, I think a combination of both would make the perfect classroom setting. When a classroom is both teacher–centered and student–centered,
students will gain a better education in my opinion. The purpose of education is to further the knowledge of a student. Education is meant to teach
students the essentials of education and to create a better understanding of real–world experiences. From the philosophies, I agree with, education is
working towards students with their knowledge and living in society. Education needs to help students to not only become smarter, but also be able to

My Experience Of A Teacher
For most of my time in school, I've had many teachers that who hated me or didn't bother to learn my name, but you were the teachers who cared
enough to push me. You saw great things in me even when I didn't see them myself. And most importantly, you were the teachers who pushed me
to do more, to get me to do more things than just the minimum amount needed to get by. For that, I will forever be grateful, because if it wasn't for
you, I would be in a regular English 11 class and not at the end of Composition 1. If it wasn't for the fact that you pushed me into harder classes, I
would have never gotten to have this experience. Also if I would have stayed in a regular class, I would have never been able to grow as a writer
or as a student. I decided to write to you today to show you all how I have taken the things you have said to me and continued to use them and push
myself to do better and harder things, sometimes even years after I had you as a teacher. When I started my first week of Composition 1, I thought I
would have a difficult time writing papers and getting good grades. I didn't believe in myself because when I would write a paper for a class, I would get
a high B at best, and those teachers weren't grading all that hard, but now I was in a class that graded hard and had most of my grade based off of the
papers I wrote. However, I still took this class because I wanted to get better at writing. Even though I didn't believe in myself and my ability to write
papers, I

My Future As A Teacher
In this paper I will be discussing how I will plan my future as a teacher, taking into consideration what and how I need to get there. It is important
that I think about the steps I need to follow and the things that may be useful in the process of becoming a successful professional. Furthermore I
will include my work experience and what I have learnt from shadowing my professional in an early years setting. Qualifications. The department
for Education states that getting basic qualifications is the first step towards becoming a teacher. I must have the equivalent of at least a grade C
in English, Mathematics and Science. I also needed 280 UCAS points to gain a place on the Early Childhood course at University. Once I have
qualified with a degree of a 2:1 or more I need to apply for the QTS (qualified teacher status) course that qualifies me to teach. I will have to pass a
Skills Tests in numeracy and literacy. To prepare myself for this exam I must revise using mock tests online and study 2
–3 hours a day. (Bond, 2013) It
is also beneficial to have a varied range of classroom based work experience. It is ideal to show you have practical experience as well as academic
theory. I have also been volunteering in a Primary School in between university term time. From shadowing my professional I have gained an
understanding of some of the key ingredients in becoming an effective practitioner. Teamwork. From interviewing my professional she stated that
teamwork is the

My Passion As A Teacher
Me: As an Educator Becoming a teacher has always been a passion of mine. Two of my older sisters teach young children. Seeing the joy they bring
to children, helps me strive to be as good at teaching as they are. They have shown me how important it is to be kind and loving with children. My
first–grade teacher is also part of the reason I continued to follow my dreams. She made school fun and was always caring to all the children. She made
me excited about learning and made school a place that I felt important and safe when I missed my parents. She touched my life forever and I am so
thankful for her. Growing up, I enjoyed school and truly looked up to my teachers. I have had a lot of experience working with children. Throughout my

I am very positive and encouraging because I believe this helps children be more motivated to learn and I believe it is better to reinforce positive
behavior than punish negative behavior. One disposition that I believe I have is Professional and Ethical Practices. Being respectful is always
important but especially in professional environments. My parents taught me at a young age that respect goes a long way and it is important to
always be respectful. I believe looking professional is also very important. It is better to be over–dressed than being under–dressed. Being early is
important to me regardless of where I am going and equally important to have tasks completed before the deadline. I also possess Interactions with
Students and Effective Communication. I try to always be fair and use a respectful and positive tone of voice, as well as show a supportive and
encouraging place for learning. Communication is always essential for any relationship, but especially when working with children so they
understand what is being asked of them. It is also especially important when working with a coordinating teacher or supervisor to ensure everything is
planned and running smoothly. A skill that I feel is so important that I possess is being able to comfort children and ensure they are motivated and
excited to learn. Having good grades have

My Teaching Philosophy Essay
My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and involves many more people than students and
teachers. People should be learning wherever they go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college.
Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack
for life, and some people are better equipped in certain areas than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly anything, as they
will be able to provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That being said, I also believe that a crucial part of education does...show

The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the most important is preparing students to learn, not
only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore
different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill that can be memorized or made
repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are
not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom, and will be reenergized
themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his
or her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only to recognize this, but to help each student
recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the
teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more

My Journey As A Teacher
PPP #3
I teach because of my insatiable passion to motivate, inspire, and to positively impact my students in a way that will encourage lifelong learning. I
believe the best way to positively influence any student is to first build rapport with them. After I establish that relationship, I will proceed to teach and
lead that student to academic success. My teaching will be student–centered and focused heavily on inquiry based teaching aligning with the Next
Generation Science Standards. I also plan on continuing my education through taking classes, attending conferences, and by traveling.
My first step as a teacher is to gain rapport with my students. I believe that classroom design can contribute heavily to my success in this area. I think a
classroom environment which provides safety through acceptance and caring and allows the students plenty of opportunities to grow intellectually and
emotionally will help me make those important connections. I will provide safety through acceptance and caring by establishing classroom norms.
Some of these norms include listening when someone is talking, uncomfortable comments may be challenged, always think before reacting, and to
assume the best intentions from each classmate. Starting the new school year off with norms will allow my students to feel comfortable interacting
with each other and will hopefully encourage my relationships with the students. After establishing norms, I will offer extension opportunities for each

My Career as a Teacher Essay
As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a
future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I
want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire.
In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. First and
foremost, it is important to me that I master exceptional classroom management skills. Effective and efficient learning takes place when expectations in
the classroom are consistent and clear. Also, discipline in...show more content...
These learning styles include; auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. By mastering and using as many learning styles as I can, I will make sure each student
is able to get the most out of their learning experience. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different
approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different learning styles but I will also use different teaching
styles during the curriculum. The different methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation which
uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem, coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the
experiment, reading the results, and finally completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which is the
thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem solving. When I teach the students to problem solve
accurately they be able to overcome obstacles and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which
includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing
classroom activities into academic and social learning experience. I believe that every one of these method can be valued

My English Teacher
As a teacher one must find their inspirations. Personally, my inspiration came from a previous teacher that I once had. I grew up always loving my
English classes. It was simple to me. I understood where a comma went, how use a metaphor correctly, and enjoyed writing papers. English became my
safe haven, but it wasn't until I had my English teacher in high school that I realized that I wanted to teach it. My English teacher was truly one of a
kind. She went above and beyond the expectations that the school set out for her to accomplish. She genuinely cared about her students and made sure
that each and every student knew that. I want to be that kind of teacher, the kind that shows their students compassion while also helping them succeed

In the classroom I plan to use diversity to my advantage. For example, in English it will be hard to ignore diversity in literature. When you are
reading a text and trying to comprehend the material you almost have to understand the culture, religion, and sometimes ethnicity to get all the
information that the author wants to relay. Also, in the classroom as a teacher, I need to understand my students culture, religions, and ethnicity, and
from there adapt my teaching methods to fit those specific students needs. As a teacher I need to chose materials that will be bale to relate to my
students. If I am teaching at a school in downtown Memphis I probably chose to use a text that relates to poverty or Martin Luther King Jr. The
reason I would use one of those topics is because the students will be able to relate to the topic. The students will have some knowledge of these topics
therefore they may be more interested in the topic because they understand it better then something about the royal family. Being a teacher, you have to
be able to use your students diversities and use it in the classroom without offending any of the students. When teaching about poverty to poverty
stricken students I will have to keep in mind my students feelings. I wouldn't go into the classroom and start teaching about how poverty is bad and
you need to do something with your life. Instead I might find a text that covers a poverty stricken person that turns

My High School Teacher
My high school teacher, a lady, has inspired me to become a teacher. She demonstrated to me how caring, enthusiastic and accessible a teacher can be to
students. She inspired me with her unlimited patience when interacting with students including myself. She would approach each student in her own
way and gave every student their own privacy when it comes to getting assessment results. I respect her very much as she respected me and made my
final year of high school very memorable.
Teaching is a good career choice because of the satisfaction you achieve when you teach or help a student in any way. I believe teaching is also the
transmission of knowledge and information. It is a pleasure to be able to transfer the useful knowledge and...show more content...
Being a teacher means being compassionate, tolerant and responsible for their students, the community, and the society. A good teacher is influential
and can impact others positively by being a role model/good example for them(young children). A good teacher definitely should have a strong
dedication towards teaching and students' learning.
A good teacher helps students overcome their fear, low–self esteem and struggle that they may face in school. A good teacher should also encourage
students to discover their own interest and talent. It also important that a good teacher will teach and demonstrate to students the importance of
honesty, good morals and values so that they know what to do and what not to do and what is wrong and what is right. This also helps by shaping their
personal understanding of themselves and the world which will benefit them in their future.
I am an attentive listener with unlimited patience. I can listen to students; questions, needs and worries. I am also a great observer meaning I can
see and obverse if any student is facing problems or need an adult to talk to. I care about how others feel and it is why my friends tend to speak out
to me about their struggles and concerns. I try my best to comfort them and also offer some advice to overcome their needs or to reduce their stress. I
am willing to devote my time to help others.I am flexible and collaborative when it comes to group work, I enjoy sharing my ideas and

My Experience As A Teacher Essay
Fieldwork Summary PaperMiele 1 My Fieldwork Experience Within Classrooms As I graduated into Concordia College I was already positive
that education was going to be the major I was going to study and pursue a career in. With the motivation of my aunt, whom is a teacher, I always
looked up to her. The only aspect I wasn't sure of was what grade I would want to teach. I have always loved kids, which is way I have always been
leaning towards teaching within early–childhood grades. Within this course I was given the opportunity to sit and observe classrooms of grades of
my choice. I decided I would sit within a kindergarten class, a third grade class, and a fifth grade class. With this experience I was able to get an
idea of what grade I would want to continue a career in as I followed my dream as a teacher. The first class I attended and observed was a
kindergarten class taught by Mrs. Brenda Buccheri Miele, in which was my aunt. Not only was I excited to observe what it was like to teach a
kindergarten class, but I also was also excited to watch my aunt in action for the first time. As soon as I entered the kindergarten classroom at Concord
Road Elementary School, I couldn't help but smile because of all the little projects the students had put together and hung around the room. Being that
it was my first time observing a classroom I was a little nervous to meet the kids and spend four hours with them. I didn't know how they would react
to me being there, or if they

My Teacher Experience

  • 1. My Teacher Experience I had a wonderful experience during my time at Mr. Palmieri's sixth grade classroom at Woodrow Wilson School in Bayonne, New Jersey. Mr. Palmieri teaches three separate sixth grade classes of Mathematics. He and his students were very welcoming which generally increased my inspiration to teach and pursue my career in education. While completing my field experience, I believe that I have fully grown professionally and academically. I felt comfortable in my assigned classroom and I valued Mr. Palmieri's enthusiasm for learning. Mr. Palmieri constantly kept the class engaged in his lessons and seemed to be well–liked by his students. For a teacher who was teaching a sixth grade diverse classroom, I found it impressive the way he had control over his students. He was well–organized and made sure everyone stayed on task and asked questions when needed. One thing that stood out the most was that he used different learning styles in his teaching. A few times he would encourage his students to work alone on an assignment. Other times he would have his students come up to the board and solve the questions step by step in front of the class. Mr. Palmieri also engaged his students in the lesson by showing a video regarding the lesson they were learning. Most of the students showed interest in the classroom by eagerly raising their hands to solve the problem on the board. I found this strategy amazing since the teacher had a better understanding of the students who were learning and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. I Am A Professional Teacher Essay To be a professional teacher, it takes skill to train young minds. Education is extremely important to go through. Teachers have many different philosophies to choose from when teaching in a classroom. Out of the five philosophies, I ranked the highest in Essentialism and Progressivism. Both of these philosophies are taught entirely different from each other. Essentialism is teacher–centered learning and expresses the teaching by the core curriculum. Progressivism is student–centered learning and expresses the teaching by doing group work. I believe that a classroom should be divided between using both philosophies. I believe that a teacher should stick to the core curriculum, but a teacher should also let the students learn by working together in small groups. The teacher is still giving lectures in front of the classroom, but there is still group work throughout the week. From experience, I think a combination of both would make the perfect classroom setting. When a classroom is both teacher–centered and student–centered, students will gain a better education in my opinion. The purpose of education is to further the knowledge of a student. Education is meant to teach students the essentials of education and to create a better understanding of real–world experiences. From the philosophies, I agree with, education is working towards students with their knowledge and living in society. Education needs to help students to not only become smarter, but also be able to work in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Experience Of A Teacher For most of my time in school, I've had many teachers that who hated me or didn't bother to learn my name, but you were the teachers who cared enough to push me. You saw great things in me even when I didn't see them myself. And most importantly, you were the teachers who pushed me to do more, to get me to do more things than just the minimum amount needed to get by. For that, I will forever be grateful, because if it wasn't for you, I would be in a regular English 11 class and not at the end of Composition 1. If it wasn't for the fact that you pushed me into harder classes, I would have never gotten to have this experience. Also if I would have stayed in a regular class, I would have never been able to grow as a writer or as a student. I decided to write to you today to show you all how I have taken the things you have said to me and continued to use them and push myself to do better and harder things, sometimes even years after I had you as a teacher. When I started my first week of Composition 1, I thought I would have a difficult time writing papers and getting good grades. I didn't believe in myself because when I would write a paper for a class, I would get a high B at best, and those teachers weren't grading all that hard, but now I was in a class that graded hard and had most of my grade based off of the papers I wrote. However, I still took this class because I wanted to get better at writing. Even though I didn't believe in myself and my ability to write papers, I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Future As A Teacher In this paper I will be discussing how I will plan my future as a teacher, taking into consideration what and how I need to get there. It is important that I think about the steps I need to follow and the things that may be useful in the process of becoming a successful professional. Furthermore I will include my work experience and what I have learnt from shadowing my professional in an early years setting. Qualifications. The department for Education states that getting basic qualifications is the first step towards becoming a teacher. I must have the equivalent of at least a grade C in English, Mathematics and Science. I also needed 280 UCAS points to gain a place on the Early Childhood course at University. Once I have qualified with a degree of a 2:1 or more I need to apply for the QTS (qualified teacher status) course that qualifies me to teach. I will have to pass a Skills Tests in numeracy and literacy. To prepare myself for this exam I must revise using mock tests online and study 2 –3 hours a day. (Bond, 2013) It is also beneficial to have a varied range of classroom based work experience. It is ideal to show you have practical experience as well as academic theory. I have also been volunteering in a Primary School in between university term time. From shadowing my professional I have gained an understanding of some of the key ingredients in becoming an effective practitioner. Teamwork. From interviewing my professional she stated that teamwork is the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Passion As A Teacher Me: As an Educator Becoming a teacher has always been a passion of mine. Two of my older sisters teach young children. Seeing the joy they bring to children, helps me strive to be as good at teaching as they are. They have shown me how important it is to be kind and loving with children. My first–grade teacher is also part of the reason I continued to follow my dreams. She made school fun and was always caring to all the children. She made me excited about learning and made school a place that I felt important and safe when I missed my parents. She touched my life forever and I am so thankful for her. Growing up, I enjoyed school and truly looked up to my teachers. I have had a lot of experience working with children. Throughout my ...show more content... I am very positive and encouraging because I believe this helps children be more motivated to learn and I believe it is better to reinforce positive behavior than punish negative behavior. One disposition that I believe I have is Professional and Ethical Practices. Being respectful is always important but especially in professional environments. My parents taught me at a young age that respect goes a long way and it is important to always be respectful. I believe looking professional is also very important. It is better to be over–dressed than being under–dressed. Being early is important to me regardless of where I am going and equally important to have tasks completed before the deadline. I also possess Interactions with Students and Effective Communication. I try to always be fair and use a respectful and positive tone of voice, as well as show a supportive and encouraging place for learning. Communication is always essential for any relationship, but especially when working with children so they understand what is being asked of them. It is also especially important when working with a coordinating teacher or supervisor to ensure everything is planned and running smoothly. A skill that I feel is so important that I possess is being able to comfort children and ensure they are motivated and excited to learn. Having good grades have Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Teaching Philosophy Essay My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and involves many more people than students and teachers. People should be learning wherever they go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college. Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack for life, and some people are better equipped in certain areas than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly anything, as they will be able to provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That being said, I also believe that a crucial part of education does...show more content... The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the most important is preparing students to learn, not only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom, and will be reenergized themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his or her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only to recognize this, but to help each student recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Journey As A Teacher PPP #3 I teach because of my insatiable passion to motivate, inspire, and to positively impact my students in a way that will encourage lifelong learning. I believe the best way to positively influence any student is to first build rapport with them. After I establish that relationship, I will proceed to teach and lead that student to academic success. My teaching will be student–centered and focused heavily on inquiry based teaching aligning with the Next Generation Science Standards. I also plan on continuing my education through taking classes, attending conferences, and by traveling. My first step as a teacher is to gain rapport with my students. I believe that classroom design can contribute heavily to my success in this area. I think a classroom environment which provides safety through acceptance and caring and allows the students plenty of opportunities to grow intellectually and emotionally will help me make those important connections. I will provide safety through acceptance and caring by establishing classroom norms. Some of these norms include listening when someone is talking, uncomfortable comments may be challenged, always think before reacting, and to assume the best intentions from each classmate. Starting the new school year off with norms will allow my students to feel comfortable interacting with each other and will hopefully encourage my relationships with the students. After establishing norms, I will offer extension opportunities for each of our Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Career as a Teacher Essay As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire. In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. First and foremost, it is important to me that I master exceptional classroom management skills. Effective and efficient learning takes place when expectations in the classroom are consistent and clear. Also, discipline in...show more content... These learning styles include; auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. By mastering and using as many learning styles as I can, I will make sure each student is able to get the most out of their learning experience. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem, coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem solving. When I teach the students to problem solve accurately they be able to overcome obstacles and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing classroom activities into academic and social learning experience. I believe that every one of these method can be valued Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My English Teacher As a teacher one must find their inspirations. Personally, my inspiration came from a previous teacher that I once had. I grew up always loving my English classes. It was simple to me. I understood where a comma went, how use a metaphor correctly, and enjoyed writing papers. English became my safe haven, but it wasn't until I had my English teacher in high school that I realized that I wanted to teach it. My English teacher was truly one of a kind. She went above and beyond the expectations that the school set out for her to accomplish. She genuinely cared about her students and made sure that each and every student knew that. I want to be that kind of teacher, the kind that shows their students compassion while also helping them succeed ...show more content... In the classroom I plan to use diversity to my advantage. For example, in English it will be hard to ignore diversity in literature. When you are reading a text and trying to comprehend the material you almost have to understand the culture, religion, and sometimes ethnicity to get all the information that the author wants to relay. Also, in the classroom as a teacher, I need to understand my students culture, religions, and ethnicity, and from there adapt my teaching methods to fit those specific students needs. As a teacher I need to chose materials that will be bale to relate to my students. If I am teaching at a school in downtown Memphis I probably chose to use a text that relates to poverty or Martin Luther King Jr. The reason I would use one of those topics is because the students will be able to relate to the topic. The students will have some knowledge of these topics therefore they may be more interested in the topic because they understand it better then something about the royal family. Being a teacher, you have to be able to use your students diversities and use it in the classroom without offending any of the students. When teaching about poverty to poverty stricken students I will have to keep in mind my students feelings. I wouldn't go into the classroom and start teaching about how poverty is bad and you need to do something with your life. Instead I might find a text that covers a poverty stricken person that turns Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My High School Teacher My high school teacher, a lady, has inspired me to become a teacher. She demonstrated to me how caring, enthusiastic and accessible a teacher can be to students. She inspired me with her unlimited patience when interacting with students including myself. She would approach each student in her own way and gave every student their own privacy when it comes to getting assessment results. I respect her very much as she respected me and made my final year of high school very memorable. Teaching is a good career choice because of the satisfaction you achieve when you teach or help a student in any way. I believe teaching is also the transmission of knowledge and information. It is a pleasure to be able to transfer the useful knowledge and...show more content... Being a teacher means being compassionate, tolerant and responsible for their students, the community, and the society. A good teacher is influential and can impact others positively by being a role model/good example for them(young children). A good teacher definitely should have a strong dedication towards teaching and students' learning. A good teacher helps students overcome their fear, low–self esteem and struggle that they may face in school. A good teacher should also encourage students to discover their own interest and talent. It also important that a good teacher will teach and demonstrate to students the importance of honesty, good morals and values so that they know what to do and what not to do and what is wrong and what is right. This also helps by shaping their personal understanding of themselves and the world which will benefit them in their future. I am an attentive listener with unlimited patience. I can listen to students; questions, needs and worries. I am also a great observer meaning I can see and obverse if any student is facing problems or need an adult to talk to. I care about how others feel and it is why my friends tend to speak out to me about their struggles and concerns. I try my best to comfort them and also offer some advice to overcome their needs or to reduce their stress. I am willing to devote my time to help others.I am flexible and collaborative when it comes to group work, I enjoy sharing my ideas and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Experience As A Teacher Essay Fieldwork Summary PaperMiele 1 My Fieldwork Experience Within Classrooms As I graduated into Concordia College I was already positive that education was going to be the major I was going to study and pursue a career in. With the motivation of my aunt, whom is a teacher, I always looked up to her. The only aspect I wasn't sure of was what grade I would want to teach. I have always loved kids, which is way I have always been leaning towards teaching within early–childhood grades. Within this course I was given the opportunity to sit and observe classrooms of grades of my choice. I decided I would sit within a kindergarten class, a third grade class, and a fifth grade class. With this experience I was able to get an idea of what grade I would want to continue a career in as I followed my dream as a teacher. The first class I attended and observed was a kindergarten class taught by Mrs. Brenda Buccheri Miele, in which was my aunt. Not only was I excited to observe what it was like to teach a kindergarten class, but I also was also excited to watch my aunt in action for the first time. As soon as I entered the kindergarten classroom at Concord Road Elementary School, I couldn't help but smile because of all the little projects the students had put together and hung around the room. Being that it was my first time observing a classroom I was a little nervous to meet the kids and spend four hours with them. I didn't know how they would react to me being there, or if they Get more content on HelpWriting.net
