Describe A Place Creative Writing
As I'm walking into this creep hotel I see this very nice old lady knitting. She walks up to me with her cane. She asks me what my name is and I say
Billy, what's your name? My name is Dianna now come this way ill give you a room. She gives me a room and all that's in it is a bed and a sink
nothing else. She says you can do your own laundry down the hall, but go to bed we leave a curfew.
As I change into my pajamas I go to sleep. It is the next morning and I'm going to go do my laundry. As I'mwalking into the hallway it gets creepier
and creepier. I go down to the end of the hall, and it's really scary. As I'm walking down towards the washer it takes 50$, I only got .25$. I run back to
the room and get 1 more quarter, I'm back. As I'm walking

Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
For many people there is a sweet smell, a pleasing photograph, the familiar sound of happiness that bring them back to a place full of childhood
images. In my life, I was lucky enough to have traveled to some of the most beautiful places on Earth. I have swum with the dolphins in crystal
blue sea of Phuket Thailand and watch golden ray of the sunshine set behind mount Fuji in Japan. However, no places earth will compare to the
loveliness of my childhood paradise, a place I called home. Barbara Kingsolver writes, "I have a place where all my stories begin," and my story
began at a lake house located on the water edge of Little Toad Lake, Minnesota. (Kingsolver 939). It is where I spent half my life with my dog
(Spike), sister, mom, and dad, through the hot summer days and freezing winter months. The house was built on the side of a steep hill leading
down to a beach front lake. The main entrance had a big double iron door which lead into the living room overlooking the lake. The main living
area had several big windows which let in a brilliant of sunlight onto the dark walnut floor. The fireplace mantle displays a big moose head that my
dad shot on his hunting trip to Alaska (his prize possession). My favorite place of the house would be the kitchen. That's where all my lessons of
cooking started. Thank you to my mom for teaching me the value of cooking. If it wasn't for her I would be eating ramens every day at college. Oh,
the memories we had at the lake house. In the spring, my mom, sister, and I go on long walks in the woods to go mushroom hunting because who
doesn't love free food. I remember making mushroom soup for the first time and almost burning my hands off because I forgot to turn the stove
down to low and the pot was overflowing onto the floor. I could still remember the facial expression on my mom's face, let just say she was not a
happy camper. One summer day, my sister and I were out fishing with my mom on the pontoon and we were catching a lot of fish and out of
nowhere it started pouring rain. My mom started the pontoon and guess what? We ran out of gas in the middle of the lake. It took as over two hours
to paddle back to shore but thank goodness it stopped raining. To this day we still

Essay on Places I Have Lived
I have opinions of all the places I have lived. Each place has its advantages and disadvantages, and I am not sure if there is any place that really fits me
well. In this essay, I will examine the bad and good aspects of some of the places I have lived. Then, I will compare what I consider to be "ideal"
conditions with the good aspects of those places where I have lived. Lastly, I will choose the place that I think is best for me.
I was born in Gujarat , India , and I lived there for 9 years then I moved to America . I consider it to be my hometown. I have some bad memories
from there. I don?t like the people and places, especially some of its unique characteristics, like the night market from Gujarat . The pattern of the

But, it was very hot in summer and freezing cold in spring. My town had so many good restaurants and shopping mall. Well, it?s up to north of
Alabama so it doesn?t have beach, however, it has rivers down there. On the Good side, this town was wide open. There was lots of space and the
natural scenery was just beautiful. Because it was not so crowded, and traffic was not a problem, there was not much pollution either. I like this
because it was easier to keep healthy.
Finally, I moved to Ventura because my family said so. They didn?t want me to do a party and all so they moved back me to Ventura . The entire
place I have lived, I think I like it here the best. It is nice here for several reasons. Because the population is not too high, there are lots of place to
visit, lots of job opportunities and less crowded transportation facilities. I am not sure of all the reasons, but I think life here is just much more exciting.
I have some problem here because my family is here so I can?t go for parties and go home late night. However I do parties because sometime I get
lonely. After living in these entire places, I think I can honestly say which characteristics are most important to me, and which ones are not so
important. I have though about this very much, and now I feel like I can rank these things in order from first to last. First of all I like to live in less
populated and clean town.

Describe A Place Analysis
I.Introduction
If you sit and look at all of the things around you that are considered to be geographical; for example, schools, houses, restaurants, landscapes, and
even the streets that we walk on every day they all have a story to tell. Some of these things have been here for years and some only for months. The
people that lived here before us and the people that will live here after us will all have their story to live and tell. Each place has a special meaning to
that one person that maybe no one knows. There is a special place that will always be with me; it is not extravagant, but it is a place that means a lot
to many people, not just me. It is a small restaurant, in the small town of Nocona, Texas, called Dairy Queen; a little place that reminds me of home.
Let us take a closer look at this wonderful place that is one of the main attractions of the city of Nocona, using the five themes of geography: region,
location, place, movement, and human–environmental interaction.
II.General Overview
Recently, we went home to see family. Home might not necessarily be where you live, but where you feel the love of your family. Home might be
where you feel comfortable or at ease in the sense that you can just take that one big deep breath and let everything out and relax. When I think of that
place I think of the smells, the people...show more content...
Most of the roads around this building are dirt roads, but, the highways are pavement. The parking lot of the Dairy Queen in Nocona is gravel. So,
when you drive in to park you can almost guarantee that rocks will be slung around. There are stop lights on every corner of where the Dairy Queen
sits. Although, these stop lights are not like in the big city, there hung by wire. This little town is not as wealthy so they do not have lightning posts
like the ones you see in the big cities. That is okay though. These lights get the job

Describe A Place Analysis
I know a place that's quite scorching to the average person, but I was an exception. For a long time, the area I had called home was a dense, opaque
volcano. First things first, I was once magma and I had gotten absolutely used to that environment. However, back then, I was feeling more different
than I usually did. For the most part, I had this sensation of cooling as well as melting for a long time. Formerly, I thought that I might have been an
igneous rock instead of lava. Also, I used to sense a really strange shaking atmosphere in my home after I felt peculiar that day. All of a sudden, it felt
like I was going to erupt out of that enormous shelter of mine. Then, unexpectedly, the volcano detonated and I instantly jumped out of my old shelter
and collapsed onto some kind of chilled floor.
In the beginning, it was quite hard to get used to the cooler surroundings, nevertheless, I got used to it. I remember the awareness I had of the
refreshing air and the invigorating ground. It felt quite rejuvenating because of all of the time I spent in that broiling space. A little while after, the
breeze had finished weathering away the warmth on me and it rained quite often, causing erosion. Also, it left fractures in me, which lead to me
transforming into the sediment. I remember that...show more content...
As soon as I started thinking that, it started getting sunnier outside which softened me. It felt like going to the beach on a really warm day. The
ground was higher than I was, so it made me feel extremely claustrophobic. Sooner than I wanted it, I went through the sun's heat and the floor's
pressure and eventually became a metamorphic rock. For awhile, I went through a long repeating cycle of becoming one rock and then another.
Ultimately, I chose to be a metamorphic rock and didn't want to go through all of that stuff. I mean, who doesn't like a nice time at the coast and

What Is The Perfect Place Essay
The perfect place
"Nature is the direct expression of the divine imagination."
–John O'Donohue I think we all have in our deepest imagination an image of the perfect place. The perfect place to spend time with ourselves and
listen to our trench thoughts. A place to search our inner self as we feel the blood rushing through our body all the way to the sound of a heartbeat.
My perfect place was deeply absorbed in my dull thoughts but finally, I have regained and found it. The perfect place to find joy, comfort and
peaceful thoughts is being lost in nature. I find myself dreaming of the perfect place at a forest. It is a bamboo–brown, leafy paradise that when you
look up, trees are tall as skyscraper. As I walk under every sprawlingtree, they remind me of watching guardians. The only sound is the springs clear
water rushing down the rocks. The strong wind "swooshes" messing up my long brown hair as the dried leaves rest over my chaotic hair. I take a
deep breath, and my lungs fill up with...show more content...
In our stressed life's, finding time to relax can be hard sometimes because of our routinely responsibilities. But lucky for us, we can use our
imagination and take at least a few minutes to imagine the perfect place where we wish we were. Finding rich full happiness in our life's is the
major key to live a full life. Getting lost in nature is a way to disconnect ourselves from reality and at the same time to find joy. In each one of us
there is a free spirit that still has not being set free. A free spirit is meant to enjoy nature and all of its beautiful gifts. As you get lost with nature you
find yourself and your deepest thoughts. We fill ourselves with peaceful thoughts as we are grateful of the little things that can be enjoyed, like nature.
Sometimes getting a little lost never hurt anybody, instead we discover where we were meant to be. So, are you willing to get a little

In The Phenomenon of Place, Christian Norberg–Schulz begins by describing that our everyday world consists of concrete "phenomena" and he goes
into detail on how a concrete term for the environment is "place." He uses the poem "A winter Evening" by George Trakl as an example to show
how everyday words are used to create a sense of place. As I was reading, one quote that I found curious was, "When man dwells, he is simultaneously
located in space and exposed to a certain environmental character......But he also has to identify himself with the environment, that is, he has to know
how he is in a certain place." In the quote, he points out the importance of a phenomenon such as the feeling that one has when they experience a place

Descriptive Essay About My Place In High School
Have you ever been in a place that at first glance does not seem like anything special, yet the more time you spend in that place the more enjoyable
it becomes? As you are going into high school you will be taking several FACS classes. The more you know about the FACS room the better
prepared you will be for those classes. The FACS classroom at Holcomb High School is a delightful place to be. There are three different sections that
make up the FACS classroom. Starting first with the classroom its self, where all the desks are, and where you do your textbook assignments. The
second part of the classroom is the adjoining room that is made up of the kitchens that you learn to cook in. The last part is the small picnic area
outside. As you first walk through the door into the classroom, you will notice how large the classroom is. As you scan the room for the first time
you will see that the room has lots of pops of colors from pictures and posters on the walls. You will see the roughly twenty– five cheap plastic desk
and chairs. The walls are tan painted cinder blocks, the paint gives the walls a smooth yet sort of bumpy texture. As you look up to the ceiling you
will see ceiling tiles, that over the years have faded and been scuffed up. Looking down at the floor you will see that the floor is covered in well
abused glued down laminate tiles. The tiles stared as an off white and have slowly yellowed. Cabinets wrap around the room that alternate between a
pale yellow and white,

Descriptive Essay About My City
Our town is more home to us than our actual house. We make so much memories around town, whether it's dining out with the family at a local
restaurant or learning how to ride a bike at our local park to spending our first paycheck at the local mall. Our town is very precious and we often
take for granted, what a privilege it is to live in a place where so much is accessible to us. We often oversee all the little things our town offers like
the stores, the parks, the many street lights that keep our town well lit, and the well paved roads. Today I will discuss the description of my town, the
people that make up my neighborhood, and the perks of living in Orland Park.
Orland Park is a southwest suburb in Illinois. It is a well known town due to it's many fine dining restaurants, shopping centers, and great school
district. Orland Park is a busy town and to fit the needs of the people, the busiest street was just remodeled. Lagrange Road was just remodeled and
widened into a three lane road in each direction. According to the Illinois Department of Transportation website, "The project cost ninety–five million
dollars and took three years to complete." Now there is a brick median in the road that is filled with trees, flowers, and small bushes. On the
southbound side of LaGrange Road there is a walking trail, that is also used as a biking trail. Most of the shopping centers and buildings all have the
same design. The buildings consist of tan colored bricks and long but narrow

Description of My Room Essay
The place where I feel the most comfortable, and show my personality, is my bedroom. This is the place where I can really be myself and do what
I want; it's the place I come home to, and wake up every day. My room makes me feel comfortable because it is my own space. My house is always
crazy, with my dog barking, and my siblings running around making noise, my room is the only place in the house where I can come and relax
without caring about everything else, the only place that I can go to clear my mind.
My room has many characteristics of which I share; it has many pictures that I have taken, about my friends or other interesting things that I have

Another reason that my room makes me feel comfortable is that I love to dance, but I am embarrassed to do it in front of other people, so
whenever I am in my room I can turn the radio and put on some of my favorite music and dance my best. My room gives me the confidence that I
don't have in other places, it helps me to have trust in myself, I can do the most ridiculous thing but my room won't say anything, it will never judge
me. My room is the only place where I will try new things and if I feel confident I will try them outside of it. I will give it my best and that is how my
room helps me, by doing something there first I believe more in myself.
It is the place where I can concentrate and think about everything that is going on around me, not only around my city or state, but all over the
world. I get the chance to relax and think in what I want to do with my life, the kind of future I want to achieve. My room is the place where I can
go and do my homework without getting distracted, where I can write down my feelings and open my mind to new ideas. Many times I have gone to
my room and just write about things that are going around in the world that will affect me sooner or later, like global warming. I will think about
everything I have heard, and my room makes me feel comfortable like there is nothing that can stop me from making a comment and saying what is on
my mind.
The way I act in my bedroom, and the way I act outside are

Describe Your Happy Place
Where is your happy place? I grew up on the mid north coast of NSW in a small town called Valla Beach which was nestled between the bush and
the beach. Because it was such a small town in which most people knew each other, I was granted relative freedom to roam the native environment
and explore. I have very fond memories of riding my scooter up and down the streets with my friends and neighbours, cantering through the bush in
front of my house, making up stories about my life if I had lived there and spending all day on the beach, crisping in the sun. Being inside seemed
like such a dull affair when you could be immersed in a different world, a natural world. I feel as if these early life experiences led me to always have a
special connection with the natural environment as it was the one true place that I could seek comfort and clarity – my happy place.
Across the road from my house was extensive bushland that stretched a few kilometres until it was cut off by the highway. In many ways, it was
my childhood playground. There was a small dam in the bushland that I often took my dog to play fetch and cool off. There was a bush track that
winded up and down hills and ended in a small little clearing and there was also dirt bike tracks that a local boy had made from scrap materials.
When I was 12, a housing development crew came to town and begun marking out the land to demolish to build new estates and within weeks they
were underway. They began draining the dam to make way

Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a

stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your
toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and
you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and

you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible
to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to

Descriptive Essay About My Village
Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small village located in Shandong province. There are
about two thousand people in the village. Small as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and
cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism.
The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are largetea plantations
and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps
playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender
branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the
river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near the river, such as
swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and
make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be
lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under the big trees talking about their life

The Place Where I Feel Most Comfortable
The place where I feel most comfortable is a place where I am calm. A place that is peaceful in its own ways. It is the place to go to get away from
all my troubles. It is the one place where I could sit forever, and never get tired of just staring into the deepest blue I have ever seen. Watching over
the world like an angel from heaven, looking over all the good citizens, walking freely down the sidewalk, everyone looking at me, because it's the
glory of being free. The trees thrash side to side as the wind slows and speeds up. Underground roots dive deep into the Earth's outer shell when
giant worms push through the dirt and glide across rocks and pipes. "Chirp Chirp." The bugs crawl out of their homes while other animals lay down
and fall to sleep. Crisp, red roses sprout from the grass, while gorgeous maple trees replace the old ones waiting desperately for their triumphant
return. What a great day to take a troll to the beach! The palm tree branches shake back and forth, flowing with the wind. The deep blue waves speed
toward the shore and crash onto the golden, toasted white–tan sands, darkening them to a muddy brown. Billions of tiny bubbles fill the crashing
clashing waves that splash up on the rocks, turning them snow white. Microscopic droplets of water soar through the air and sprinkle farther up the
beach. About two hundred steps away from the water, a mountain range sand dune stands dry and forever out of the oceans reach. The bulk of clouds

Describe My Favorite Place
I have always been the type of person that likes to explore. I don't like to be inside, I like to be able to take everything in and watch what's round

Where do the different trails go. At Dawes there are many different trails and pathways to take. This place is huge you can follow the paths that they

Woodlands at Dawes is such a amazing but yet spooky place to visit. In this area there is many native plants along the paths like the buttonbush,
foamflower, wild geranium. What makes this place so spooky but intriguing is the cemetery that lies here. It is named one of the oldest cemeteries in

use to make cake, and when ever I or my wife gets sick, we will put the eggs in boiling water for about 15 minutes, and then take the outer shell off.
Then cut it into 4 pieces and put pepper and salt on it and enjoy! Because my mother says if you are sick and eat the boiled egg, you will become
better and back to normal. The chickens will have that 15 piece of land. The remaining 2 to 3 acres will be our house, next to the beach where we
can hear the sounds and the smell of the ocean and the tide kicks in and out. Next to our house we will have a plane. I need that plane so whenever
we want to get some food like cake, or tools and any other important stuff we can go out of the Island every 3 times a year to get the food, etc. Our
house will be 2 floors and will be exactly like a cabin that you see in forest. We will have a chimney to keep the house warm. We get our water supply
from a spring nearby. We can purify that water if we want. We use the spring water and use it as an everyday bathing water. Now as far as electricity

Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful Place
The sweltering breeze rushes through my fingers as I sit on the soft green grass in the park. It's such a beautiful day, the grassy plane clashes with
the sapphire sky and the sunlight illuminates the delicate area surrounding me. I quickly find myself becoming captivated by the amount of diverse
people who populate the parks space. The athletic runners, dog walkers, and adolescents hidden in their smartphones; which, astonishes me
because who knew that such a beautiful place could bring so many contrasting individuals together. I arise to my feet and began traveling down a
narrow path which aligns itself along a lengthy river, but finally converged with the parkway ahead. An elderly couple sits at the end of the path on
a wooden bench eating ice cream that slowly drizzles down their hands and onto the wedding rings that occupies their fingers. I observe the elderly
couple for a short amount of time noticing how happy and gullible they act towards each other. I slowly began to lose interest in the couple, but then
the elderly woman's ice cream starts to run onto her blouse and the aged husband runs to fetch some napkins, quickly returning with them. A melody
ringing throughout the park quickly drew my attention away from the couple and directed it to the truck that rests on the side of the road. The truck

Describing a Place I Know
Since I am suppose to write about a place I know, I have decided to write about my aunt Holly's farm. I will explain why I go there, what I like to do
there, and why I feel most connected to her farm. I will describe different areas on her twenty–two acre farm as well as her house. I will also explain
the importance of the farm, well why it is important to me.
Aunt Holly's farm is the place that we almost always go to for holiday's. Or just as a place we go to to get away and spend time with family. For me its
like another home. Growing up aunt Holly and her husband uncle Tim were like second parents. My aunt Holly is my mom's older sister. So I
spent quit a bit of my summers there along with weekends. Sometimes I even lived with them, sometimes with my mom and brothers other times
when my mom could not handle me. Her farm is special to me because growing up it was a safe place. It was the place I could go to too discover
new things. Many times my cousin Amanda and I would go down to the creek and play with the tadpoles. We got in trouble for bringing them in
the house, my aunt didn't want anything from the creek in the house. My uncle said that we were just being kids. One time he bet me and Amanda
five dollars each that we wouldn't kiss a frog. So we went down to the creek and caught two frogs. When we got back up to the house my aunt was
outside holding a camera. Amanda was to scared to go first so I did. It was not that bad, she made a bigger deal out of it then what

Descriptive Essay About A Forest Retreat

  • 1. Describe A Place Creative Writing As I'm walking into this creep hotel I see this very nice old lady knitting. She walks up to me with her cane. She asks me what my name is and I say Billy, what's your name? My name is Dianna now come this way ill give you a room. She gives me a room and all that's in it is a bed and a sink nothing else. She says you can do your own laundry down the hall, but go to bed we leave a curfew. As I change into my pajamas I go to sleep. It is the next morning and I'm going to go do my laundry. As I'mwalking into the hallway it gets creepier and creepier. I go down to the end of the hall, and it's really scary. As I'm walking down towards the washer it takes 50$, I only got .25$. I run back to the room and get 1 more quarter, I'm back. As I'm walking Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place For many people there is a sweet smell, a pleasing photograph, the familiar sound of happiness that bring them back to a place full of childhood images. In my life, I was lucky enough to have traveled to some of the most beautiful places on Earth. I have swum with the dolphins in crystal blue sea of Phuket Thailand and watch golden ray of the sunshine set behind mount Fuji in Japan. However, no places earth will compare to the loveliness of my childhood paradise, a place I called home. Barbara Kingsolver writes, "I have a place where all my stories begin," and my story began at a lake house located on the water edge of Little Toad Lake, Minnesota. (Kingsolver 939). It is where I spent half my life with my dog (Spike), sister, mom, and dad, through the hot summer days and freezing winter months. The house was built on the side of a steep hill leading down to a beach front lake. The main entrance had a big double iron door which lead into the living room overlooking the lake. The main living area had several big windows which let in a brilliant of sunlight onto the dark walnut floor. The fireplace mantle displays a big moose head that my dad shot on his hunting trip to Alaska (his prize possession). My favorite place of the house would be the kitchen. That's where all my lessons of cooking started. Thank you to my mom for teaching me the value of cooking. If it wasn't for her I would be eating ramens every day at college. Oh, the memories we had at the lake house. In the spring, my mom, sister, and I go on long walks in the woods to go mushroom hunting because who doesn't love free food. I remember making mushroom soup for the first time and almost burning my hands off because I forgot to turn the stove down to low and the pot was overflowing onto the floor. I could still remember the facial expression on my mom's face, let just say she was not a happy camper. One summer day, my sister and I were out fishing with my mom on the pontoon and we were catching a lot of fish and out of nowhere it started pouring rain. My mom started the pontoon and guess what? We ran out of gas in the middle of the lake. It took as over two hours to paddle back to shore but thank goodness it stopped raining. To this day we still Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Essay on Places I Have Lived I have opinions of all the places I have lived. Each place has its advantages and disadvantages, and I am not sure if there is any place that really fits me well. In this essay, I will examine the bad and good aspects of some of the places I have lived. Then, I will compare what I consider to be "ideal" conditions with the good aspects of those places where I have lived. Lastly, I will choose the place that I think is best for me. I was born in Gujarat , India , and I lived there for 9 years then I moved to America . I consider it to be my hometown. I have some bad memories from there. I don?t like the people and places, especially some of its unique characteristics, like the night market from Gujarat . The pattern of the ...show more content... But, it was very hot in summer and freezing cold in spring. My town had so many good restaurants and shopping mall. Well, it?s up to north of Alabama so it doesn?t have beach, however, it has rivers down there. On the Good side, this town was wide open. There was lots of space and the natural scenery was just beautiful. Because it was not so crowded, and traffic was not a problem, there was not much pollution either. I like this because it was easier to keep healthy. Finally, I moved to Ventura because my family said so. They didn?t want me to do a party and all so they moved back me to Ventura . The entire place I have lived, I think I like it here the best. It is nice here for several reasons. Because the population is not too high, there are lots of place to visit, lots of job opportunities and less crowded transportation facilities. I am not sure of all the reasons, but I think life here is just much more exciting. I have some problem here because my family is here so I can?t go for parties and go home late night. However I do parties because sometime I get lonely. After living in these entire places, I think I can honestly say which characteristics are most important to me, and which ones are not so important. I have though about this very much, and now I feel like I can rank these things in order from first to last. First of all I like to live in less populated and clean town. • 4. Describe A Place Analysis I.Introduction If you sit and look at all of the things around you that are considered to be geographical; for example, schools, houses, restaurants, landscapes, and even the streets that we walk on every day they all have a story to tell. Some of these things have been here for years and some only for months. The people that lived here before us and the people that will live here after us will all have their story to live and tell. Each place has a special meaning to that one person that maybe no one knows. There is a special place that will always be with me; it is not extravagant, but it is a place that means a lot to many people, not just me. It is a small restaurant, in the small town of Nocona, Texas, called Dairy Queen; a little place that reminds me of home. Let us take a closer look at this wonderful place that is one of the main attractions of the city of Nocona, using the five themes of geography: region, location, place, movement, and human–environmental interaction. II.General Overview Recently, we went home to see family. Home might not necessarily be where you live, but where you feel the love of your family. Home might be where you feel comfortable or at ease in the sense that you can just take that one big deep breath and let everything out and relax. When I think of that place I think of the smells, the people...show more content... Most of the roads around this building are dirt roads, but, the highways are pavement. The parking lot of the Dairy Queen in Nocona is gravel. So, when you drive in to park you can almost guarantee that rocks will be slung around. There are stop lights on every corner of where the Dairy Queen sits. Although, these stop lights are not like in the big city, there hung by wire. This little town is not as wealthy so they do not have lightning posts like the ones you see in the big cities. That is okay though. These lights get the job Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Describe A Place Analysis I know a place that's quite scorching to the average person, but I was an exception. For a long time, the area I had called home was a dense, opaque volcano. First things first, I was once magma and I had gotten absolutely used to that environment. However, back then, I was feeling more different than I usually did. For the most part, I had this sensation of cooling as well as melting for a long time. Formerly, I thought that I might have been an igneous rock instead of lava. Also, I used to sense a really strange shaking atmosphere in my home after I felt peculiar that day. All of a sudden, it felt like I was going to erupt out of that enormous shelter of mine. Then, unexpectedly, the volcano detonated and I instantly jumped out of my old shelter and collapsed onto some kind of chilled floor. In the beginning, it was quite hard to get used to the cooler surroundings, nevertheless, I got used to it. I remember the awareness I had of the refreshing air and the invigorating ground. It felt quite rejuvenating because of all of the time I spent in that broiling space. A little while after, the breeze had finished weathering away the warmth on me and it rained quite often, causing erosion. Also, it left fractures in me, which lead to me transforming into the sediment. I remember that...show more content... As soon as I started thinking that, it started getting sunnier outside which softened me. It felt like going to the beach on a really warm day. The ground was higher than I was, so it made me feel extremely claustrophobic. Sooner than I wanted it, I went through the sun's heat and the floor's pressure and eventually became a metamorphic rock. For awhile, I went through a long repeating cycle of becoming one rock and then another. Ultimately, I chose to be a metamorphic rock and didn't want to go through all of that stuff. I mean, who doesn't like a nice time at the coast and leaving behind Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. What Is The Perfect Place Essay The perfect place "Nature is the direct expression of the divine imagination." –John O'Donohue I think we all have in our deepest imagination an image of the perfect place. The perfect place to spend time with ourselves and listen to our trench thoughts. A place to search our inner self as we feel the blood rushing through our body all the way to the sound of a heartbeat. My perfect place was deeply absorbed in my dull thoughts but finally, I have regained and found it. The perfect place to find joy, comfort and peaceful thoughts is being lost in nature. I find myself dreaming of the perfect place at a forest. It is a bamboo–brown, leafy paradise that when you look up, trees are tall as skyscraper. As I walk under every sprawlingtree, they remind me of watching guardians. The only sound is the springs clear water rushing down the rocks. The strong wind "swooshes" messing up my long brown hair as the dried leaves rest over my chaotic hair. I take a deep breath, and my lungs fill up with...show more content... In our stressed life's, finding time to relax can be hard sometimes because of our routinely responsibilities. But lucky for us, we can use our imagination and take at least a few minutes to imagine the perfect place where we wish we were. Finding rich full happiness in our life's is the major key to live a full life. Getting lost in nature is a way to disconnect ourselves from reality and at the same time to find joy. In each one of us there is a free spirit that still has not being set free. A free spirit is meant to enjoy nature and all of its beautiful gifts. As you get lost with nature you find yourself and your deepest thoughts. We fill ourselves with peaceful thoughts as we are grateful of the little things that can be enjoyed, like nature. Sometimes getting a little lost never hurt anybody, instead we discover where we were meant to be. So, are you willing to get a little Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. In The Phenomenon of Place, Christian Norberg–Schulz begins by describing that our everyday world consists of concrete "phenomena" and he goes into detail on how a concrete term for the environment is "place." He uses the poem "A winter Evening" by George Trakl as an example to show how everyday words are used to create a sense of place. As I was reading, one quote that I found curious was, "When man dwells, he is simultaneously located in space and exposed to a certain environmental character......But he also has to identify himself with the environment, that is, he has to know how he is in a certain place." In the quote, he points out the importance of a phenomenon such as the feeling that one has when they experience a place and find out Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Descriptive Essay About My Place In High School Have you ever been in a place that at first glance does not seem like anything special, yet the more time you spend in that place the more enjoyable it becomes? As you are going into high school you will be taking several FACS classes. The more you know about the FACS room the better prepared you will be for those classes. The FACS classroom at Holcomb High School is a delightful place to be. There are three different sections that make up the FACS classroom. Starting first with the classroom its self, where all the desks are, and where you do your textbook assignments. The second part of the classroom is the adjoining room that is made up of the kitchens that you learn to cook in. The last part is the small picnic area outside. As you first walk through the door into the classroom, you will notice how large the classroom is. As you scan the room for the first time you will see that the room has lots of pops of colors from pictures and posters on the walls. You will see the roughly twenty– five cheap plastic desk and chairs. The walls are tan painted cinder blocks, the paint gives the walls a smooth yet sort of bumpy texture. As you look up to the ceiling you will see ceiling tiles, that over the years have faded and been scuffed up. Looking down at the floor you will see that the floor is covered in well abused glued down laminate tiles. The tiles stared as an off white and have slowly yellowed. Cabinets wrap around the room that alternate between a pale yellow and white, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Descriptive Essay About My City Our town is more home to us than our actual house. We make so much memories around town, whether it's dining out with the family at a local restaurant or learning how to ride a bike at our local park to spending our first paycheck at the local mall. Our town is very precious and we often take for granted, what a privilege it is to live in a place where so much is accessible to us. We often oversee all the little things our town offers like the stores, the parks, the many street lights that keep our town well lit, and the well paved roads. Today I will discuss the description of my town, the people that make up my neighborhood, and the perks of living in Orland Park. Orland Park is a southwest suburb in Illinois. It is a well known town due to it's many fine dining restaurants, shopping centers, and great school district. Orland Park is a busy town and to fit the needs of the people, the busiest street was just remodeled. Lagrange Road was just remodeled and widened into a three lane road in each direction. According to the Illinois Department of Transportation website, "The project cost ninety–five million dollars and took three years to complete." Now there is a brick median in the road that is filled with trees, flowers, and small bushes. On the southbound side of LaGrange Road there is a walking trail, that is also used as a biking trail. • 10. Description of My Room Essay The place where I feel the most comfortable, and show my personality, is my bedroom. This is the place where I can really be myself and do what I want; it's the place I come home to, and wake up every day. My room makes me feel comfortable because it is my own space. My house is always crazy, with my dog barking, and my siblings running around making noise, my room is the only place in the house where I can come and relax without caring about everything else, the only place that I can go to clear my mind. My room has many characteristics of which I share; it has many pictures that I have taken, about my friends or other interesting things that I have found. It is the only place that I can make my own, I can be creative and decorate...show more content... Another reason that my room makes me feel comfortable is that I love to dance, but I am embarrassed to do it in front of other people, so whenever I am in my room I can turn the radio and put on some of my favorite music and dance my best. My room gives me the confidence that I don't have in other places, it helps me to have trust in myself, I can do the most ridiculous thing but my room won't say anything, it will never judge me. My room is the only place where I will try new things and if I feel confident I will try them outside of it. I will give it my best and that is how my room helps me, by doing something there first I believe more in myself. It is the place where I can concentrate and think about everything that is going on around me, not only around my city or state, but all over the world. I get the chance to relax and think in what I want to do with my life, the kind of future I want to achieve. My room is the place where I can go and do my homework without getting distracted, where I can write down my feelings and open my mind to new ideas. Many times I have gone to my room and just write about things that are going around in the world that will affect me sooner or later, like global warming. I will think about everything I have heard, and my room makes me feel comfortable like there is nothing that can stop me from making a comment and saying what is on my mind. The way I act in my bedroom, and the way I act outside are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Describe Your Happy Place Where is your happy place? I grew up on the mid north coast of NSW in a small town called Valla Beach which was nestled between the bush and the beach. Because it was such a small town in which most people knew each other, I was granted relative freedom to roam the native environment and explore. I have very fond memories of riding my scooter up and down the streets with my friends and neighbours, cantering through the bush in front of my house, making up stories about my life if I had lived there and spending all day on the beach, crisping in the sun. Being inside seemed like such a dull affair when you could be immersed in a different world, a natural world. I feel as if these early life experiences led me to always have a special connection with the natural environment as it was the one true place that I could seek comfort and clarity – my happy place. Across the road from my house was extensive bushland that stretched a few kilometres until it was cut off by the highway. In many ways, it was my childhood playground. There was a small dam in the bushland that I often took my dog to play fetch and cool off. There was a bush track that winded up and down hills and ended in a small little clearing and there was also dirt bike tracks that a local boy had made from scrap materials. When I was 12, a housing development crew came to town and begun marking out the land to demolish to build new estates and within weeks they were underway. They began draining the dam to make way Get more content on HelpWriting.net

This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. • 13. Descriptive Essay About My Village Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism. The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are largetea plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under the big trees talking about their life Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. The Place Where I Feel Most Comfortable The place where I feel most comfortable is a place where I am calm. A place that is peaceful in its own ways. It is the place to go to get away from all my troubles. It is the one place where I could sit forever, and never get tired of just staring into the deepest blue I have ever seen. Watching over the world like an angel from heaven, looking over all the good citizens, walking freely down the sidewalk, everyone looking at me, because it's the glory of being free. The trees thrash side to side as the wind slows and speeds up. Underground roots dive deep into the Earth's outer shell when giant worms push through the dirt and glide across rocks and pipes. "Chirp Chirp." The bugs crawl out of their homes while other animals lay down and fall to sleep. Crisp, red roses sprout from the grass, while gorgeous maple trees replace the old ones waiting desperately for their triumphant return. What a great day to take a troll to the beach! The palm tree branches shake back and forth, flowing with the wind. The deep blue waves speed toward the shore and crash onto the golden, toasted white–tan sands, darkening them to a muddy brown. Billions of tiny bubbles fill the crashing clashing waves that splash up on the rocks, turning them snow white. Microscopic droplets of water soar through the air and sprinkle farther up the beach. About two hundred steps away from the water, a mountain range sand dune stands dry and forever out of the oceans reach. The bulk of clouds float by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Describe My Favorite Place I have always been the type of person that likes to explore. I don't like to be inside, I like to be able to take everything in and watch what's round me. I love just watching the wildlife and exploring, finding new plants and trees blossoms my imagination. As I have explored a lot of places around me I have found one of my favorites. At Dawes Arboretum I have found and experienced many different things on my adventures that I want to share like: the trails, the kinds of people, the type of nature. When you go to a new place there is always that excitement of what's out there. Where do the different trails go. At Dawes there are many different trails and pathways to take. This place is huge you can follow the paths that they make or you can make your own. That's my favorite thing to do. I always love to find my own new things and make my own favorite paths. The Woodlands at Dawes is such a amazing but yet spooky place to visit. In this area there is many native plants along the paths like the buttonbush, foamflower, wild geranium. What makes this place so spooky but intriguing is the cemetery that lies here. It is named one of the oldest cemeteries in Licking County and is stilled used my the Beard–Green Family to this day. Another site that seems to be a popular one to explore is The Arboretum East. The trails here are a lot me rough so a lot of times more adventurous hikers go for these. • 16. Essay on My Dream Place My dream place would be a house on a Galapagos Island. My land will be located on the Isabella Island. It will be nice and relaxing because it has a constant weather all that time, perfect environment. Also I will have a nice 2 floor cabin. The cabins will look like the ones that you see in forest. My whole family will live there after I am 75. But before that I will spend my time gathering all the money to buy a piece of land, a plane, a boat, and some vegetable seed (lot of them). I want horses because we will have exercise and explore the island with my horse and travel with my horse anywhere I want. I want couple of cows because this will supply us milk, which we can convert them to butter, cheese, and ghee. I want chickens because this will supply us eggs that we can use to make cake, and when ever I or my wife gets sick, we will put the eggs in boiling water for about 15 minutes, and then take the outer shell off. Then cut it into 4 pieces and put pepper and salt on it and enjoy! Because my mother says if you are sick and eat the boiled egg, you will become better and back to normal. The chickens will have that 15 piece of land. The remaining 2 to 3 acres will be our house, next to the beach where we can hear the sounds and the smell of the ocean and the tide kicks in and out. Next to our house we will have a plane. I need that plane so whenever we want to get some food like cake, or tools and any other important stuff we can go out of the Island every 3 times a year to get the food, etc. Our house will be 2 floors and will be exactly like a cabin that you see in forest. We will have a chimney to keep the house warm. We get our water supply from a spring nearby. We can purify that water if we want. We use the spring water and use it as an everyday bathing water. Now as far as electricity is concerned, I can take solar panels and convert it to electricity since I know how I can do it. Now you might Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful Place The sweltering breeze rushes through my fingers as I sit on the soft green grass in the park. It's such a beautiful day, the grassy plane clashes with the sapphire sky and the sunlight illuminates the delicate area surrounding me. I quickly find myself becoming captivated by the amount of diverse people who populate the parks space. The athletic runners, dog walkers, and adolescents hidden in their smartphones; which, astonishes me because who knew that such a beautiful place could bring so many contrasting individuals together. I arise to my feet and began traveling down a narrow path which aligns itself along a lengthy river, but finally converged with the parkway ahead. An elderly couple sits at the end of the path on a wooden bench eating ice cream that slowly drizzles down their hands and onto the wedding rings that occupies their fingers. I observe the elderly couple for a short amount of time noticing how happy and gullible they act towards each other. I slowly began to lose interest in the couple, but then the elderly woman's ice cream starts to run onto her blouse and the aged husband runs to fetch some napkins, quickly returning with them. A melody ringing throughout the park quickly drew my attention away from the couple and directed it to the truck that rests on the side of the road. The truck has a window fixtured on its side where a man hands out ice cream to a long line of kids waiting. Finding myself in line, I notice a younger couple at the very front who Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The beat of the music may be songful to the ear but a reason as to why I chose this was because it lets me know what time it is in the day. It is also a reminder to me that I should be somewhere in a couple minutes. The reminder is a special aspect of why I wanted to share this place with you because it can help you be productive in your everyday life. • 19. Describing a Place I Know Since I am suppose to write about a place I know, I have decided to write about my aunt Holly's farm. I will explain why I go there, what I like to do there, and why I feel most connected to her farm. I will describe different areas on her twenty–two acre farm as well as her house. I will also explain the importance of the farm, well why it is important to me. Aunt Holly's farm is the place that we almost always go to for holiday's. Or just as a place we go to to get away and spend time with family. For me its like another home. Growing up aunt Holly and her husband uncle Tim were like second parents. My aunt Holly is my mom's older sister. So I spent quit a bit of my summers there along with weekends. Sometimes I even lived with them, sometimes with my mom and brothers other times when my mom could not handle me. Her farm is special to me because growing up it was a safe place. It was the place I could go to too discover new things. Many times my cousin Amanda and I would go down to the creek and play with the tadpoles. We got in trouble for bringing them in the house, my aunt didn't want anything from the creek in the house. My uncle said that we were just being kids. One time he bet me and Amanda five dollars each that we wouldn't kiss a frog. So we went down to the creek and caught two frogs. When we got back up to the house my aunt was outside holding a camera. Amanda was to scared to go first so I did. It was not that bad, she made a bigger deal out of it then what Get more content on HelpWriting.net
