2. The main Idea
• My main idea is to create a virtual reality headset that helps with CGI in film
and TV.
• It will have features such as picking the scene, different models for CGI
like dinosaurs and aliens, while also giving the user to be able to change
the scenes and models to their own customs scenes and models.
• It also gives the chance for actors to do the scenes in their own studios or
even for colleges to be able to create scenes in their classrooms.
• It's also wireless meaning that there will be no cables that connect to the
laptop or computer that is attached to the computer, the product will mainly
work off Bluetooth although there could be

3. Filling Gaps in the Market
→ This fills a gap by because a lot of CGI in films and the actors along with the CGI feel less immerse in the
action then they would if they had someone running at them. The way I see is that it is the next step in film
and virtual reality production.
→ VR has been around for film for a long while, this being prevenient since the release of
Dunkirk, the producers and director created an immerse version of the film and called it "Save Every
Breath: The Dunkirk VR Experience."
4. Target audience
→ The age demographic for my product would be around 20–65-year-old who work in and around film and
Tv, however this product is also open to colleges and universities for study purposes.
→ Furthermore, the social grade for this product would be C1 – B social grades, this works because most
directors have that social grade. However, again this can be moved down to accommodate colleges
and/or universities.
→ Another thing I am thinking of is the psychographics would be mainly mainstreamers due to this product
being used in mainstream film and tv. It can also be used for more niche products such as indie films; this
would then put it into the psychographic of explorer.
5. Finances
Software/hardware Cost How to finance it.
VR headset £1,100.38 (This includes
shipping prices)
I would finance this by mainly
crowdfunding on a website such
as Kickstarter
CGI Software £6330.16M (Industry standard)
Basic CGI software £31.39
Perpetual license £703.26
I could possibly finance this
myself since it would cost
however if I wanted to buy the
license the money would have
to come from either
crowdfunding or my own
money.
3D modeling software Blender – Free
Photoshop - £119.29 (annually
paid upfront), £9.98 (per
month)
With this being free I wouldn't
need to finance this.
PC Ryzen 5 3600 x - £203.50
16 gb ddr4 ram - £29.48
B550 motherboard - £75.95
1tb hdd - £39.59
256gb ssd - £34.98
Gtx 1660 ti - £299.99
Total - £683.49
Mainly using the funding from
my own bank or also money
from the crowdfunding.
6. Advertisement
Above the line
→ Bus wrapping, this could have the logo on the bus wrap
and then a slogan like "the future of film". It could have a
photo of someone wearing the product.
→ Social media advertisements, there will be a short video
explaining what the product is and cut to clips of how it
works. This trailer will be available on the
companies Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
→ Another piece of advertising I will use a longer trailer that
will have the same features on the social media video but
will be longer and available on YouTube.

7. Distribution
→ My product would be accessible online costing around £500.00 (which will be the RRP); I chose this price
because after looking at some other VR prices I noticed they are all and sometimes can be expensive,
especially if I want these to be used by filmmakers who are just starting out.
→ However, with the price being such a low charge for something that is as powerful as virtual reality I will
also be charging a monthly price of £5.99, this is mainly for the software the product runs out as it isn't
cheap to keep a software running for free.
