RE: Chad Conklin
To Whom It May Concern:
As Program Director and Faculty, I have observed Chad Conklin in classes at the Secchia Institute for
Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College and during his tutoring work that he did
within our department. These experiences coupled with the varying academic subjects and culinary
tasks Chad performed throughout his time here at the Secchia Institute is proving him to be an
excellent student, a skillful culinarian, and a sought after tutor within our department for students
seeking assistance in culinary math, food science, sanitation, financial records, hospitality
management, and nearly all other culinary competencies.
He has proved himself to be a dependable and hardworking individual with excellent hospitality and
human relation skills during tutor service. Chad shows a great attitude and aptitude toward students
needing assistance. Chad’s professionalism, good attitude and demeanor give him the ability to enjoy
great rapport with fellow students where he developed strong working relationships and the ability to
get along with others.
For these reasons, I am confident Chad will be dependable and successful at any venture he wishes to
pursue while becoming successful and prominent in his foodservice career.
Sincerely,
Dan Gendler
