1. Çeşme
Fountain, İzmir ilin content. Urdu from the east, Karaburun from the north, and

(Erythrai), the first antique settlement in the half, is one of the historical riches of the
county.
According to Pausanias, Erythrai (Ildiri) was founded by the Cretans. The city, which
was ruled by tyrants in the 7th century BC, entered Lydia under the rule of 560 BC.
The city remained under the rule of Persia until it was freed by Iskender. It is
surrounded by pretty stone-built walls. In the city archaeological studies, the Athena
Temple and the theater dating to the 2nd half of the 7th century BC were excavated.
The Çeşme region met with the great Turkish maritime man, Chaka Bey, at the end
of the 11th century with Turkish domination. The transition to the Ottoman domination
is at the end of the 14th century. One of the most striking Ottoman monuments is the
Çeşme Castle. The works obtained in excavations made around Çeşme and its
surroundings are exhibited in the museum inside Çeşme Castle. In addition to Kaley,
there is also a caravanserai. According to the Ottoman census of 1893, the number
of people living in Çeşme was 30.702 [citation needed]. At this date, 88.8% of the
population of Cesme, ie 26.826 people, were from the Greeks. The rate of Turks was
12%.

2. Cesme Castle and Museum
The most visited historical monument of Çeşme II. The castle built by Beyazıt is used
today as a museum. The Çeşme Castle was built in 1508 by the Ottoman Sultan II. It
was built by Beyazıt, the architect of Ahmet the son of Mehmet the architect of Aydın
through Mir Haydar. The first building of Kalenin was built at the seaside. However, in

The southern gate of Kalenin carries all the characteristics of Ottoman architecture. It

Cesme Museum was opened for the first time in 1965 as a gun museum with
weapons brought from Istanbul Topkapi Museum and continued until 1984. Since the
weapons in the museum began to deteriorate due to excessive moisture from the
ship, İzmir Archeology and Ödemiş have been transferred to the museums. The
same exhibition hall was arranged and the works obtained from the rescue
excavations in the ancient city of Ildırı (Erythrai), which has been going on since
1964, are on display.
Dalyanköy
The place called "Old Mosque" is located 2 km north of Çeşme district center. During
the Byzantine sovereignty, Emir Çaka, the father of the first Kilic Arslan, took the
peninsula and came to Çeşme in 1081 and settled the Turks coming from the Oğuz
Boy. It is still an interesting example of 11th century Turkish settlements with a
mosque remains and large cemetery.
Golden beaches and Ilıca
Çeşme is a popular tourist destination with its wide and white sandy beaches,
qualified accommodation facilities and thermal facilities. Hot thermal waters boiling
from the sea make Ilıca beach and other beaches in the vicinity a big thermal pool.
The large and small accommodation facilities in Ilica are able to meet the needs of
the intensive tourist capacity. Many small hotels and guesthouses also have spa
water. One of the most important features of Çeşme beaches and especially Ilica
beach is the depth of about one hundred meters of shoreline from coast to sea.
