Cat spent just under 2 months working as an intern at our offices between the dates 20th July 2015 to 4th
September 2015 inclusive as part of the Contraband team.
Cat is an extremely bright individual, with natural common sense, who learns new skills very quickly.
Cat worked on many different projects during her internship which included working alongside myself with
an international Business Report on the market of Beirut, which is becoming a growing market for us. In
addition she worked on the enormous roster that is our website, checking the website is up to date and
corresponding with the web team in India. Other roles included PA work, administrative work, and reception
work on the phone, social media with our Instagram account as well as A&R, representing Contraband at
various showcases and recommending acts to the sales team to register and go online.
Cat was also given several sales enquiries to handle in support of the sales team, in particular working
alongside myself on very large international events, including events in Egypt. Historically when we have
had other interns working with the team, we haven’t been able to give this kind of work experience as the
work involves knowing about the suitability of acts for an event. With over 4,000 acts on our books this
takes considerable time to learn, in fact several months. Cat was brilliant and spoke directly to clients as well
as performers both in the UK and internationally and then putting quotes together for end clients, working
alongside the entire sales team in the office.
She is a great team player; she has fantastic attention to detail and is incredibly conscious and committed to
her work. She has a very friendly personality and is keen to help with her colleagues and is totally
dependable. Cat is one of the most all rounded, enthusiastic, resilient, ambitions, intelligent interns we have
ever had the pleasure to have in our offices; she thinks outside of the box and has bags and bags of initiative.
I would highly recommend her as a very honest, reliable and employable person who will be a great asset to
any employer, if we had a position in our office, which sadly we don’t I would have offered Cat a full time
position.
