Environmental Planning
Our interdisciplinary approach positions
environmental professionals next to design
engineers early in the planning process in
a fully collaborative, integrated effort to
mitigate negative environmental impacts
through design solutions. Planners
are supported by in-house resources,
including biologists, wetland scientists,
geologists, architectural historians,
archaeologists, and geographic information
systems (GIS) specialists.
We are accomplished in streamlining
the environmental review process to
shorten project schedules, build consensus,
and position our projects for approval. A
key element of our approach is recognizing
the critical roles that regulatory agencies
and the public play in project success—we
are seasoned outreach specialists who
engage with stakeholders to develop
successful projects that enrich
our communities.
Environmental Policy
Act Compliance
• National Environmental Protection
Agency (NEPA) local and state
regulations
• Environmental assessments
• Environmental impact statements
Public Outreach
• Public involvement plans
• Workshops and informational briefings
• Publicity/communications
Land Use/Socioeconomics
• Land use analysis
• Zoning analysis
Natural Resources
Clients turn to us to navigate the
complicated maze of permitting,
approvals, and regulations that have been
developed to conserve our planet’s beauty
and resources. We not only know the
regulations and the regulators, but
we work with local, state, and federal
agencies to shape regulations that protect
the environment while supporting
economic growth.
Our scientists, engineers, and
landscape architects develop strategies that
accommodate capital improvements and
development while adhering to low impact
development principles.
