1. PDHPE Rationale
PDHPE is compulsory across all schools in Australia. PDHPE helps
and promote students to develop an understanding of knowledge
and skills to leading an everyday healthy lifestyle.

2. Healthy Eating
• Help students in decision making the right
choices in relation to maintaining a nutritional
and balanced diet in everyday eating.

3. Be Active
• Promote the everyday active lifestyle such as
taking part in school sporting teams,
swimming, running.

4. Growth and Development
• Students are able to understand themselves
as an individual and establishing self-
awareness of their own strength and
weaknesses.

5. Safe Living
• Students learn how to live and protect
themselves and others from harm within the
environment (e.g. crossing in traffic, staying
away from harmful drugs).
