911 Attacks Research Paper
911 Attacks On September 11, 2001 an Islamic terrorist group attacked the usa. This group disliked the USA a lot but they did not have the
sufficient power to attack the USA directly. They decided to crash four planes into memorable places in the USA. The leader of this group was
called Osama bin laden.Suprisingly enough it took usa 10 years to finally catch him after the 911 attacks. He was then sentenced to death and
killed. Thousands of people were killed in the attacks. Luckily the people in 1 plane managed to take it back. The others however still crashed.
Around 13,000 people were killed when the twin towers went down. Every 9/11 we take a moment of silence to mourn for the lost ones in

How 9/11 Changed the World
How 9/11 Changed the World
The first major change that took place after 9/11 was more security was created. For example, the screening that happens now wasn't as intense as it is
now. It seems as if you are stripped from everything before entering the security screening process. Prior to September 11, 2001 you only had to show
you're identification card. You were even allowed to carry on knives and scissors. Although I do not remember this because I was only 4 years old,
but my mother told me that only a curtain was used to separate the area of passengers from the pilot. Now, at every checkpoint you are asked to show
you're identification. We could board the planes without removing clothing, shoes or belts, but now you have...show more content...
After the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001 there was definitely an increase within various branches of the military. There were people of all ages walking
in recruiter offices to ask what they needed to do to enlist or sign up. Basically, they felt a need to do their part in serving the United States showing
patriotism. This has helped Americans to gain more confidence in the military than in any other federal institution. In addition to this, firefighters and
police officers have played a major role in protecting American lives as well.
By no means am I saying that this has any reference, but it is just ironic. There is a song by Biggie Smalls (RIP) called Juicy and in one rhyme he said,
"Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade." There was a failed attempt back in 1993 to destroy theWorld Trade Centerby someone with a truck
full of explosives. Apparently, due to the poor placement of the bomb, concrete and steel all around with all the cars as well, the only damage done to
the building was a large hole in the parking garage. So, with this being said, another attempt was made on September 11, 2001 by flying an airplane
into the building.
Congress ushered in the Patriot Act by arming law enforcement with new tools to detect and prevent terrorism by expanding federal officials' powers
to keep tabs on our personal information, from credit card use to cell phone calls to car travel. It allows investigators to use the tools that were

9/11 Terrorist AttacksTopic: 9/11 Terrorist AttacksQuestion: How did the 9/11 terrorist attacks affect America ?Thesis Statement: The 9/11 terrorist
attacks affected America so much so the U.S. tightened airport security. Lots of people lost family members and that affected the way these Americans
live now.The 9/11 terrorist attacks had a great impact on America, let me give you a little bit of background on why that is. Basically, the terrorist
group Al – Qaeda hijacked 4 planes to basically use as missiles. Something of this magnitude had never happened in the United States before. This act
of terrorism left scars on Americans forever. As I mentioned before, there were 4 planes hijacked each was intended for a certain large target. In total
there were 19 men who hijacked those 4 planes1....show more content...

people who died in3. Of those 2,996 people 400 of those were police and firefighters4. It The plane that crashed in Pennsylvania didn't crash in the open

As a matter of fact, it was the combined effort of the people on the plane that made the plane crash in field instead of a populated area. Many new
policies were established due to the terrorist attacks. For example, airlines tightened security immensely after this. It seems like it takes a whole day to
get through the inspections. This is just one thing that changed after the terrorist attacks. Something rather notable is the President George W. Bush
actually went to war against the terrorists without permission from congress. Additionally, another thing that changed drastically is the way Americans

9/11 Short Paragraph
Our country has been through many tragedies and devastations over the years, but nothing could prepare us for the horrific event that took place on
September 11, 2001 in New York City. A series of four terrorist attacks by Islamic terrorist group al
–Qaeda left the world shaken. Everyone helplessly
watched as commercial airlines crashed into the North and South World Trade Centers. The collision left scorching flames, dense smoke, and a gaping
hole in the side of the buildings. During that time, thousands of cries for mercy for mercy could be heard along with the silent heartbreaks of millions
across the world. As seconds minutes passed by, hundreds more were killed due to smoke inhalation, significant burns, and even suicide. Soon, the

9/11 was one of America's most devastating attacks. The world had stopped to many, and it was also the blackest day in America. Around three
thousand people died as a result of the attack. Debrid from the buildings covered the city after the collapsed. People were covered from head to toe in
ashes, relying on each other in this time of need. Rescuers scoured about the city in search of survivors and even casualties, resulting in the death of
many of the first responders. After the attack, the National September 11 Memorial and Museum was planned to commemorate those who lost their
lives. 9/11 was a horrific event in history that will, hopefully, be investigated to find the true reason behind the attacks. This has only raised more
questions than answers. However, we continue to mourn their death and celebrate their lives. We shall never

Descriptive Essay On 9/11 Attacks
With all of the cracks in the ceiling of your bedroom, you can see the stars at night and the sun in the morning. With all of the old rotted hardwood
floors, you hope to stay in that room until the morning and not end up in the room below you. At night you start to stare around your room as you
fall asleep, then you see a splatter of blood on the wall and you get up and check behind the door and see HELP written all in blood. And at the vent
there's tons of blood leading down it. Then you hear a noise come from the room below, and when you go and see whats making the noise, there's a
girl in a chair and shes all tied up. Then you realize, that girl in the chair is your daughter. Right after you untie her the window bursts wide open with

The Importance of the 9/11 Memorial Everyone remembers where they were when they first heard the news of the terrorist attacks on September
11th, 2001. Since this traumatic day, many memorials have been made to honor the people who lost their lives. The memorial in New York City
at Ground Zero has become a popular place for many people around the world to come visit. More than 21 million people have visited this
memorial since its opening in 2011 (National September 11 Memorial & Museum). It especially allows for a place for family members to come and
remember their loved ones that passed on this day. The National 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero provides the history of what happened on that horrific
day through its location and design, but some view it as controversial. On September 11, 2011, there were four terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist
group known as al–Qaeda. It was a series of suicide attacks targeting United States landmarks. People were killed within three different situations on
that day; when the hijackers crashed into each tower of the World Trade Centerin New York City, when a plane crashed into the Pentagon in
Washington D.C, and when a plane flew into a field in Shanksville, PA. Over 3,000 people were killed during all the attacks, including more than
400 police officers and rescue workers. Only six people in the World Trade Center survived and there were over 10,000 people injured (National
September 11 Memorial & Museum).

911 Case Study
1) I think the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon affected both short and long term productivity in the U.S.It affected short
–term
travel the day of and weeks to follow the attack.Increased security and delayed/canceled flights were in high volume for weeks after. This caused a
decrease in productivity because less planes were allowed in the air and business was done less efficiently. This affect has carried over in to the long
term as well.Travel is still slowed down due to heavier security screenings and more laborers are required to ensure the safety of travellers. 2) Some
example of new technology that has caused unemployment is self–check out aisles and automated customer service.Cashiers are no longer needed to
ring customers up and customer service representatives are being replaced by systems that give options that can be answered with the push of a
button. An example of a new technology that has created jobs is the new application technology for Гњber drivers. This system allows people to work
for themselves by transporting people around like a taxi driver would. The new technology keeps track of accounting, fares, and more. The way to
measure the net impact of technological change on overall employment and GDP in the U.S. is to compare the number of jobs created by technologies
to the number lost.

Essay About 9/11
September 11 2001 One of the most horrific event that has taken place in the United States Of America in the 2000's was the 9/11 attacks on the
World Trades Centre and the Pentagon. Over 500,000 people were affected by these events, yet there are still many unanswered questions about what
had really taken place that day and Why? In this essay you will read direct quotes from people who have experienced the catalyst into multiple
conspiracy theories and my opinion on what had happened September 11 2001.
At 8:46 on a regular tuesday morning, a hijacked plane flew through the north tower of the world trade center in New York killing everyone on board
and on the 93 rd through to the 99th floors. About 15 minutes later, the south tower was hit. With a total of 2,996 civilian deaths, 19...show more

All reports say that the steel melted at 1,500В°C the elevation in temperature was due to 90,000 L gallons of jet fuel on a few floors of the WTC.
Results in buckling and failure of the steel was due to two factors: loss of strength due to the temperature of the fire, loss of structural integrity due to
distortion of the steel from the different degrees in temperatures of the fire.
As one or two of the most heavily burned floors gave way and the outer support began to bow outward, the floors above them also fell. The floor
below could not support the roughly 45,000 tons of ten floors this started the domino effect that caused the collapse. It only took seven seconds and

Meanwhile, intense debate raged over how best to rebuild the World Trade Center, as well as how to memorialize the thousands of victims. Though
initial plans called for the rebuild to be completed by September 2011–the 10th anniversary of the attacks–a combination of political struggles, financial
problems and legal squabbles among the various parties involved led to repeated delays, and rebuild efforts are still ongoing. The 9/11 Memorial
was dedicated on September 11, 2011."What this quote is saying is that they would start to recover no matter if they lost a loved one,and that is a

September 11, 2001 is a day that will forever be remembered by all Americans; it was the day in which 2,823 people were killed due to the terrorist
attacks performed by the terrorist group Al–Qaeda. Up to this day there are many people who do not know all the facts about this day and do not even
know the number of plane crashes that occurred due to Al–Qaeda's terrorist plans. Al–Qaeda is a terrorist organization that was started by Osama Bin
Laden. This terrorist group is a racist organization whose philosophy is described as centralization of decision and decentralization of execution. This
group has admitted they are responsible for the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. They stated that the United States was actively oppressing and

There was no survivors on any of the four planes that were hijacked. Many people died in the buildings as well, and some people trying to escape
the attacks did not make it. There were 1,102 victims that were identified by a New York medical examiner, but there were 1,616 victims who
were not found nor identified and their families were given death certificates. The estimated total of deaths including every passenger aboard the
four planes is 2,823. There were people who were rescued and tragically people who had no way out and did the first thing they could think of,
which was to jump to their death. In order to try to save themselves from the excruciating heat coming from the fires that erupted from the plane
crashes, people would jump from the buildings and fall to their death. The fall was estimated to last about ten seconds and would fall at a rapid
speed of 125 mph. If the body was to fall in a position where someone fell down with their body straight as if they were diving, the speed of the
body falling down could increase to a speed of up to 200 mph. There were around 200 jumpers who decided to die this way. While all of this was
happening, there were people who were trying to escape the madness in the towers. In an effort to escape, people tried using the elevators in the World
Trade Centers but some plunged to their death as a result of the elevator cables being damaged due to the planes crashing and

Fahrenheit 9/11 Essay
Fahrenheit 9/11
Michael Moore's latest film, "Fahrenheit 9/11," presents a critical look at the administration of George W. Bush and the War on Terrorism. In this film
Moore investigates the rapid growth of the United States government and its trend of trampling the rights of individuals, and the corporatism that is
spawned out of the close ties between big government and big business during wartime. Michael Moore may not convince all audiences, but is
successful for its factual accuracy in which the evidence spoke for itself, and at the same time proclaimed Moore's artistry in transposing and splicing
scenes to create impressions that supported his allegations and opinions. Michael Moore has employed two main techniques in an...show more content...
The scene of Lipscomb breaking into tears provides an empathetic reaction from the audience further strengthening Moore's persuasion techniques.
Moore uses emotion to move the audience and this was intensely effective when the screen goes entirely black and the audience is left the
soundtrack of the tragic events of September 11 plays and imposes an insistent presence of cries, sirens and radio communications. This is followed
by the image of New Yorkers terrified by the inexpressible horror of the collapse of the towers. Moore keeps only the faces, contorted with tension
and fear. The terrible reverse shot of this scene, certainly known and engraved in all memories. The director does not believe in the simple force of the
image. The audience is already conquered upstream. This emblematic sequence gives the general tone of the documentary.
In addition to using pathos to get the audience' attention Moore also makes extensive use of rhetorical questions during "Fahrenheit 9/11,"to create a
negative representation of George W Bush. For example, during the classroom scene on September 11th, while Bush sits quietly, contemplating the
attacks, Moore poses whether Bush should "have held at least one meeting since taking office to discuss the threat of terrorist" (Moore, Fahrenheit 9
/11). Immediately this implies that Bush hasn't had a meeting on terrorism since taking office in 2001, providing the audience with a disapproving
outlook on Bush's image.

9/11 Inside Job Research Paper
9/11: An Inside Job? September 11, 2001, at 8 a.m, American Flight 11 crashes into the World Trade Center North Tower. 17 minutes later, American
Flight 175 crashes into the World Trade Center South Tower. 30 minutes go by and the Pentagon is hit by American flight 77. A final fourth plane
crashes 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh after passengers are able to retake the plane and prevent what was supposed to be a hit on the White House.
10;28 a.m, the World Trade CenterTowers have collapsed (History.com Staff 1). These attacks stunned the US and will be mourned forever. Each
attack was performed by members of al–Qaeda, a global Islamic extremist group bent on institutionalizing their way of life on others through acts of
force (Hayes 1). Or at least, that is the official story, this is prone to conspiracy from people who say this was just an excuse for the US to attack the
middle east, and take advantage of resources there. But in these conspiracies, beliefs differ in what actually happened. Two different theories of what
happened are that the planes didn't make the buildings collapse, bombs did. And the other theory being that the US air defence was told to stand down.
Both of these answer some questions that are left to the public with the official story. Engineers claim that the light...show more content...
Theorists maintain there's no actual possibility that planes made from aluminum could do the sort of damage the planes did the the Twin Towers

crashes that dust is created that when mixed with oxygen can act like TNT if set off with heat. "In this reaction every pound of aluminum equals 3
pounds of TNT" (Talboo 1). This reaction more than likely occurred and helped in bringing down the

9/11 Conspiracy Essay
"Have you heard of the conspiracy of 9/11, Mom? We're learning about the religion of Islam in World History and today we discussed one time
terrorists were planning on attacking the Twin towers on September 9, 2011. Apparently, some guy and no one know who it was but the FBI are
looking into it. This guy exposed some dude by the name of Osama bin Laden and his group of followers before they could have attacked. Is it true?"
12–year–old Lucy Banker asked her mother.
Mrs. Banker looked up from her knitting and thought for a moment. "Yes, Dear. I do remember that day. It was a scary day for all of us as Americans
but they imprisoned Osama and his men. A few a years before that the government noticed how dominating he was. So to deal with the problem they

In 20 minutes they were there. Lucy and Faith were squealing with excitement!
" Look at all the awesome planes!" Faith exclaimed.
" Oh, I can smell the ocean water already." Lucy looking up, gave a sniff of fresh air as if she could smell it. Faith laughed.
" Ok, Girls, now that we're here, we need to stay together. There's a lot of people and you can easily get lost in this big place. We're first going to go
pay for our flight and then use the restroom before boarding. Our flight leaves in half an hour. That should give us enough time."
Once inside, they headed towards where the sign said, " Ticket counter" but it wasn't hard to find it because of the long line.
Lucy looked up at her Mom. Wondering what they were going to do now. Her mother looked calm. Lucy and Faith looked each other and with a shrug,

The Change in Airport Security from 9/11 Essay
The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2011 prompted the world to reevaluate and drastically modify airport and airline security. "Four targets had
been chosen, all iconic American buildings that would send a clear message of the depth of their hatred for the United States. All four planes crashed,
killing all on board–terrorists, crew members, and passengers, along with hundreds who were killed inside the structures, on the ground, and the men
and women who ran into collapsing buildings in an effort to try and save others" (Smutz 1). As Jason Villemez said "the decade after the 9/11 attacks
reshaped many facets of life in America" (Villemez 1). Before the attacks, people did not think that large scale hostility towards innocent people in

Security officers learned a very large lesson on September 11, 2001; they learned that they needed to care about and perform their job to the best of
their ability in order to safeguard our country. As mentioned above, another reason the security in airports was so shoddy was that the x–ray machines
and metal detectors that were being used were very out of date, "the metal detectors were last replaced in 1995"(Hiltzik 1). These security tools were
so outdated that some of them didn't even register certain metals such as Aluminium and Titanium (Hiltzik 1). This means that someone could easily
conceal a weapon in their pants or shoes if the weapon was made out of any of these materials. Prior to September 11, 2001, people could sneak
weapons onto planes. The weapons included explosives and tools that individuals could use to help hijack planes. In 1995, Al Qaeda plotted to bomb
12 United States trans–Pacific flights and also planned to kill Bill Clinton on his trip to the Philippines (Cronin 2). Al Qaeda is a Muslim extremist
group that is known for resorting to terrorism and killing to please God. When a Muslim extremist group performs a deadly attack, they think that they
are eliminating the evil in the world. There were also many

Personal Narrative Essay On 9/11 Attacks
As I lie down in bed I hear the sound of explosion and gunshots in the distance. Outside is a battlefield, a fight that feels never ending. It all started
four years ago, in the morning, when the first bombed was dropped. I was only a thirteen year old boy, so scared thinking that my life would end
right there, I froze up looking out at the explosion in the distance. My father grabbed onto my arm and pulled me down into the bunker. My mother was
carrying my sister who was only two years old. I could see how scared my mom was, she was looking into my eyes and telling me everything was
going to be alright and that it would all end soon, I believed her. Five minutes later there was another explosion, closer than before. My parents sat

9/11 Evidence Analysis
With the evidence stated before, the researcher believes, 9/11 was a cover up planned from the start that the United States Government made up as an
excuse to join the war in the Middle East. Along with government involvement they also blamed the attacks on a terrorist group. The researcher also
believes that when an official government agency blames their doing on a terrorist are they any better than this person? The evidence that has been
gathered for this topic shows, there is more to 9/11 than what is being told. The incriminating evidence showed the researcher and many other
researchers that a controlled substance was used for the demolition of the towers. Many Americans and even individuals all around the world have felt

9/11 Attacks Research Summary

  • 1. 911 Attacks Research Paper 911 Attacks On September 11, 2001 an Islamic terrorist group attacked the usa. This group disliked the USA a lot but they did not have the sufficient power to attack the USA directly. They decided to crash four planes into memorable places in the USA. The leader of this group was called Osama bin laden.Suprisingly enough it took usa 10 years to finally catch him after the 911 attacks. He was then sentenced to death and killed. Thousands of people were killed in the attacks. Luckily the people in 1 plane managed to take it back. The others however still crashed. Around 13,000 people were killed when the twin towers went down. Every 9/11 we take a moment of silence to mourn for the lost ones in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. How 9/11 Changed the World How 9/11 Changed the World The first major change that took place after 9/11 was more security was created. For example, the screening that happens now wasn't as intense as it is now. It seems as if you are stripped from everything before entering the security screening process. Prior to September 11, 2001 you only had to show you're identification card. You were even allowed to carry on knives and scissors. Although I do not remember this because I was only 4 years old, but my mother told me that only a curtain was used to separate the area of passengers from the pilot. Now, at every checkpoint you are asked to show you're identification. We could board the planes without removing clothing, shoes or belts, but now you have...show more content... After the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001 there was definitely an increase within various branches of the military. There were people of all ages walking in recruiter offices to ask what they needed to do to enlist or sign up. Basically, they felt a need to do their part in serving the United States showing patriotism. This has helped Americans to gain more confidence in the military than in any other federal institution. In addition to this, firefighters and police officers have played a major role in protecting American lives as well. By no means am I saying that this has any reference, but it is just ironic. There is a song by Biggie Smalls (RIP) called Juicy and in one rhyme he said, "Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade." There was a failed attempt back in 1993 to destroy theWorld Trade Centerby someone with a truck full of explosives. Apparently, due to the poor placement of the bomb, concrete and steel all around with all the cars as well, the only damage done to the building was a large hole in the parking garage. So, with this being said, another attempt was made on September 11, 2001 by flying an airplane into the building. Congress ushered in the Patriot Act by arming law enforcement with new tools to detect and prevent terrorism by expanding federal officials' powers to keep tabs on our personal information, from credit card use to cell phone calls to car travel. It allows investigators to use the tools that were Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. 9/11 Thesis 9/11 Terrorist AttacksTopic: 9/11 Terrorist AttacksQuestion: How did the 9/11 terrorist attacks affect America ?Thesis Statement: The 9/11 terrorist attacks affected America so much so the U.S. tightened airport security. Lots of people lost family members and that affected the way these Americans live now.The 9/11 terrorist attacks had a great impact on America, let me give you a little bit of background on why that is. Basically, the terrorist group Al – Qaeda hijacked 4 planes to basically use as missiles. Something of this magnitude had never happened in the United States before. This act of terrorism left scars on Americans forever. As I mentioned before, there were 4 planes hijacked each was intended for a certain large target. In total there were 19 men who hijacked those 4 planes1....show more content... For example, airlines tightened security immensely after this. It seems like it takes a whole day to get through the inspections. This is just one thing that changed after the terrorist attacks. Something rather notable is the President George W. Bush actually went to war against the terrorists without permission from congress. Additionally, another thing that changed drastically is the way Americans feel toward middle Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. 9/11 Short Paragraph Our country has been through many tragedies and devastations over the years, but nothing could prepare us for the horrific event that took place on September 11, 2001 in New York City. A series of four terrorist attacks by Islamic terrorist group al –Qaeda left the world shaken. Everyone helplessly watched as commercial airlines crashed into the North and South World Trade Centers. The collision left scorching flames, dense smoke, and a gaping hole in the side of the buildings. During that time, thousands of cries for mercy for mercy could be heard along with the silent heartbreaks of millions across the world. As seconds minutes passed by, hundreds more were killed due to smoke inhalation, significant burns, and even suicide. Soon, the temperature...show more content... 9/11 was one of America's most devastating attacks. The world had stopped to many, and it was also the blackest day in America. Around three thousand people died as a result of the attack. Debrid from the buildings covered the city after the collapsed. People were covered from head to toe in ashes, relying on each other in this time of need. Rescuers scoured about the city in search of survivors and even casualties, resulting in the death of many of the first responders. After the attack, the National September 11 Memorial and Museum was planned to commemorate those who lost their lives. 9/11 was a horrific event in history that will, hopefully, be investigated to find the true reason behind the attacks. This has only raised more questions than answers. However, we continue to mourn their death and celebrate their lives. We shall never Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. The Importance of the 9/11 Memorial Everyone remembers where they were when they first heard the news of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. Since this traumatic day, many memorials have been made to honor the people who lost their lives. The memorial in New York City at Ground Zero has become a popular place for many people around the world to come visit. More than 21 million people have visited this memorial since its opening in 2011 (National September 11 Memorial & Museum). It especially allows for a place for family members to come and remember their loved ones that passed on this day. The National 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero provides the history of what happened on that horrific day through its location and design, but some view it as controversial. On September 11, 2011, there were four terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group known as al–Qaeda. It was a series of suicide attacks targeting United States landmarks. People were killed within three different situations on that day; when the hijackers crashed into each tower of the World Trade Centerin New York City, when a plane crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C, and when a plane flew into a field in Shanksville, PA. Over 3,000 people were killed during all the attacks, including more than 400 police officers and rescue workers. Only six people in the World Trade Center survived and there were over 10,000 people injured (National September 11 Memorial & Museum). The 9/11 Memorial at Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. 911 Case Study 1) I think the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon affected both short and long term productivity in the U.S.It affected short –term travel the day of and weeks to follow the attack.Increased security and delayed/canceled flights were in high volume for weeks after. This caused a decrease in productivity because less planes were allowed in the air and business was done less efficiently. This affect has carried over in to the long term as well.Travel is still slowed down due to heavier security screenings and more laborers are required to ensure the safety of travellers. 2) Some example of new technology that has caused unemployment is self–check out aisles and automated customer service.Cashiers are no longer needed to ring customers up and customer service representatives are being replaced by systems that give options that can be answered with the push of a button. An example of a new technology that has created jobs is the new application technology for Гњber drivers. This system allows people to work for themselves by transporting people around like a taxi driver would. The new technology keeps track of accounting, fares, and more. The way to measure the net impact of technological change on overall employment and GDP in the U.S. is to compare the number of jobs created by technologies to the number lost. Essay About 9/11 September 11 2001 One of the most horrific event that has taken place in the United States Of America in the 2000's was the 9/11 attacks on the World Trades Centre and the Pentagon. Over 500,000 people were affected by these events, yet there are still many unanswered questions about what had really taken place that day and Why? In this essay you will read direct quotes from people who have experienced the catalyst into multiple conspiracy theories and my opinion on what had happened September 11 2001. At 8:46 on a regular tuesday morning, a hijacked plane flew through the north tower of the world trade center in New York killing everyone on board and on the 93 rd through to the 99th floors. All reports say that the steel melted at 1,500В°C the elevation in temperature was due to 90,000 L gallons of jet fuel on a few floors of the WTC. Results in buckling and failure of the steel was due to two factors: loss of strength due to the temperature of the fire, loss of structural integrity due to distortion of the steel from the different degrees in temperatures of the fire. As one or two of the most heavily burned floors gave way and the outer support began to bow outward, the floors above them also fell. The floor below could not support the roughly 45,000 tons of ten floors this started the domino effect that caused the collapse. • 11. 9/11 Research Paper September 11, 2001 is a day that will forever be remembered by all Americans; it was the day in which 2,823 people were killed due to the terrorist attacks performed by the terrorist group Al–Qaeda. Up to this day there are many people who do not know all the facts about this day and do not even know the number of plane crashes that occurred due to Al–Qaeda's terrorist plans. Al–Qaeda is a terrorist organization that was started by Osama Bin Laden. This terrorist group is a racist organization whose philosophy is described as centralization of decision and decentralization of execution. This group has admitted they are responsible for the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. They stated that the United States was actively oppressing and ...show more content... There was no survivors on any of the four planes that were hijacked. Many people died in the buildings as well, and some people trying to escape the attacks did not make it. There were 1,102 victims that were identified by a New York medical examiner, but there were 1,616 victims who were not found nor identified and their families were given death certificates. The estimated total of deaths including every passenger aboard the four planes is 2,823. There were people who were rescued and tragically people who had no way out and did the first thing they could think of, which was to jump to their death. In order to try to save themselves from the excruciating heat coming from the fires that erupted from the plane crashes, people would jump from the buildings and fall to their death. The fall was estimated to last about ten seconds and would fall at a rapid speed of 125 mph. If the body was to fall in a position where someone fell down with their body straight as if they were diving, the speed of the body falling down could increase to a speed of up to 200 mph. There were around 200 jumpers who decided to die this way. While all of this was happening, there were people who were trying to escape the madness in the towers. In an effort to escape, people tried using the elevators in the World Trade Centers but some plunged to their death as a result of the elevator cables being damaged due to the planes crashing and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Fahrenheit 9/11 Essay Fahrenheit 9/11 Michael Moore's latest film, "Fahrenheit 9/11," presents a critical look at the administration of George W. Bush and the War on Terrorism. In this film Moore investigates the rapid growth of the United States government and its trend of trampling the rights of individuals, and the corporatism that is spawned out of the close ties between big government and big business during wartime. Michael Moore may not convince all audiences, but is successful for its factual accuracy in which the evidence spoke for itself, and at the same time proclaimed Moore's artistry in transposing and splicing scenes to create impressions that supported his allegations and opinions. Michael Moore has employed two main techniques in an...show more content... The scene of Lipscomb breaking into tears provides an empathetic reaction from the audience further strengthening Moore's persuasion techniques. Moore uses emotion to move the audience and this was intensely effective when the screen goes entirely black and the audience is left the soundtrack of the tragic events of September 11 plays and imposes an insistent presence of cries, sirens and radio communications. This is followed by the image of New Yorkers terrified by the inexpressible horror of the collapse of the towers. Moore keeps only the faces, contorted with tension and fear. The terrible reverse shot of this scene, certainly known and engraved in all memories. The director does not believe in the simple force of the image. The audience is already conquered upstream. This emblematic sequence gives the general tone of the documentary. In addition to using pathos to get the audience' attention Moore also makes extensive use of rhetorical questions during "Fahrenheit 9/11,"to create a negative representation of George W Bush. For example, during the classroom scene on September 11th, while Bush sits quietly, contemplating the attacks, Moore poses whether Bush should "have held at least one meeting since taking office to discuss the threat of terrorist" (Moore, Fahrenheit 9 /11). Immediately this implies that Bush hasn't had a meeting on terrorism since taking office in 2001, providing the audience with a disapproving outlook on Bush's image. September 11, 2001, at 8 a.m, American Flight 11 crashes into the World Trade Center North Tower. 17 minutes later, American Flight 175 crashes into the World Trade Center South Tower. 30 minutes go by and the Pentagon is hit by American flight 77. A final fourth plane crashes 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh after passengers are able to retake the plane and prevent what was supposed to be a hit on the White House. 10;28 a.m, the World Trade CenterTowers have collapsed (History.com Staff 1). These attacks stunned the US and will be mourned forever. Each attack was performed by members of al–Qaeda, a global Islamic extremist group bent on institutionalizing their way of life on others through acts of force (Hayes 1). Or at least, that is the official story, this is prone to conspiracy from people who say this was just an excuse for the US to attack the middle east, and take advantage of resources there. But in these conspiracies, beliefs differ in what actually happened. Two different theories of what happened are that the planes didn't make the buildings collapse, bombs did. And the other theory being that the US air defence was told to stand down. Both of these answer some questions that are left to the public with the official story. We're learning about the religion of Islam in World History and today we discussed one time terrorists were planning on attacking the Twin towers on September 9, 2011. Apparently, some guy and no one know who it was but the FBI are looking into it. This guy exposed some dude by the name of Osama bin Laden and his group of followers before they could have attacked. Is it true?" 12–year–old Lucy Banker asked her mother. Mrs. Banker looked up from her knitting and thought for a moment. "Yes, Dear. I do remember that day. Lucy looking up, gave a sniff of fresh air as if she could smell it. Faith laughed. " Ok, Girls, now that we're here, we need to stay together. There's a lot of people and you can easily get lost in this big place. We're first going to go pay for our flight and then use the restroom before boarding. Our flight leaves in half an hour. That should give us enough time." Once inside, they headed towards where the sign said, " Ticket counter" but it wasn't hard to find it because of the long line. Lucy looked up at her Mom. • 16. The Change in Airport Security from 9/11 Essay The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2011 prompted the world to reevaluate and drastically modify airport and airline security. "Four targets had been chosen, all iconic American buildings that would send a clear message of the depth of their hatred for the United States. All four planes crashed, killing all on board–terrorists, crew members, and passengers, along with hundreds who were killed inside the structures, on the ground, and the men and women who ran into collapsing buildings in an effort to try and save others" (Smutz 1). As Jason Villemez said "the decade after the 9/11 attacks reshaped many facets of life in America" (Villemez 1). Security officers learned a very large lesson on September 11, 2001; they learned that they needed to care about and perform their job to the best of their ability in order to safeguard our country. As mentioned above, another reason the security in airports was so shoddy was that the x–ray machines and metal detectors that were being used were very out of date, "the metal detectors were last replaced in 1995"(Hiltzik 1). These security tools were so outdated that some of them didn't even register certain metals such as Aluminium and Titanium (Hiltzik 1). This means that someone could easily conceal a weapon in their pants or shoes if the weapon was made out of any of these materials.
