Descriptive Essay On Halloween
My perfect Halloween would be a night of just chilling and watching a marathon of halloween movies and eating sweets. the party's I would have will
at mossy have 2–5 close friends and we would probably just play video games if there is more than 3 people there. But costume wise if I did go outside
and walk around with my dogs I think I would just put on a onesie and show off my dressed up pups. If I did buy candy I would just get an assortment
of different kinds. But let's go into more detail about these three ideal halloween must haves.
A perfect party for someone like me contains just a few friends or just even one close one just chilling on a bean bag watching scary movies for
hours on end wile eating our favorite halloween snacks. But most importantly you need people that will just sit and talk because who dosent like
to talk about scary stories or "ghost" encounters. Like friends that commit to watching scary movies with you are real friends because they show you
their scared side unless there are stone and barely have any fears at all. Halloween parties are fun with a lot of people but with a few close people you
can do so much more activities big crowds could't do. for instance hide and seek in a small house, video games that can only handle two players at a
time, and the price of just enough pizza for 2 or 3 compared to 15 or 20 is a big difference.
If i got bored of that a perfect halloween costume would be a shark onesie and my dog on a leash and wearing a fish

Halloween: America's Tradition
Halloween Halloween is one of the major events of America's tradition. I'm fond of the idea of dressing up in awesome costumes. Kids put lots of
effort into dressing up and walking down the street, getting candy. It is a big night for trick–or–treating. The trick–or–treating is my favorite part of
Halloween. Halloween these days is a threat to our cities. It is one of the deadliest days of the year. For example, the rising in deaths of kids getting
hit by cars, the car accidents involved with drunk drivers, and the feeling of being insecure walking at night in the community. All of the excitement
from fancy dresses, scary make–up, and mass of trick–or–treaters, it is easier for drivers to get distracted. Some kids in dark colored costumes

Are you already starting to plan out Halloween party ideas for your kids? Do you want to make sure that you have the best kids' party in the
neighborhood? When planning a Halloween party for children, it's important to make sure that you have the right mix of fun and scary. Here are some
tips and ideas to get you started:
Have plenty of games: Today's kids probably aren't going to be satisfied with bowls of "brains" (cooked spaghetti) and "monkey eyeballs" (peeled
grapes) to entertain them. When making up lists of party games for your guests, make sure that you have more games than you think can be played
in one evening. Kids will quickly get bored of "eyeball golf" or other games, quickly leaving you without any entertainment if you haven't planned
carefully. For younger children, purchase dry ice and put chunks of it into the bottom of a large styrofoam cooler. Put a layer of thin styrofoam on
top, but poke holes in the styrofoam so that vapor can get through. On top of this, place a layer of thick window screen. As the cooler fills with fog
from the dry ice, add a number of different colored marbles to the bottom of the cooler. Tell the children that they are ghosts or ghouls and that the
marbles are people. The first child to collect all of his or her color of marbles wins the game....show more content...
Put fist–sized chunks of dry ice into a punch bowl for a creepy bowl of "blood" to drink. Or you can also use some blue food coloring to tint pineapple
juice green for delicious "swamp slime" that everyone will love. As the dry ice melts, it will boil and give off fog that will give your table an
appropriately creepy look. Obviously, these drinks should be served in a decorative witch's

Should We Celebrate Halloween?
Introduction: The Origin of Halloween
Halloween has become the second most anticipated holiday for children after Christmas. Halloween was first celebrated by the Celts, who lived in
Scotland and Ireland in ancient times. The Celts held a special festival to celebrate Samhain, the god of the dead. The day they choose was their New
Year's Eve, October 31 on our calendar. They believed the souls of the dead returned to visit their homes on this one night of the year to try to find
another body to inhabit. In nowadays many people and their kids celebrate holiday it became family tradition, therefore many people disprove
celebration of Halloween.
What does Halloween celebrate?
Although celebrating of Halloween became one of our funny holidays in which families, friends and their kids can reveal their spirits and release
their soul. Doubt about celebrating or not will be out there, but the question is, should we celebrate Halloween? The answer is "no". Halloween
gives impressive record of people who celebrate Halloween than those people who said "no". As a result of peoples lack of understanding in Halloween
being a festival of death.

The devil is not stupid. He knows very well that we can be deceived if he can blind us to the truth. If he can keep us from ever knowing Allah (swt)
in our lifetime, he has won our soul forever. We will go to hell. The problem for him is that we all have an overwhelming desire to know God. We
know that we are spiritual beings, at least most of us do. From the time that we can think about why we are here, we are thinking about what comes
after death. Personally, I believe that God has put that irresistible urge within us to draw us to Him. That is a problem for Satan, but he has come up
with many stumbling blocks to put in our way. He works constantly to make it hard to find the

Ah, Halloween. It's probably one of my most favorite holidays. Not only because of the mass amounts of candy that people fill their backpacks and
pockets with, but also because of the wonderful frights we all get to experience. Whether it's through scary movies, haunted houses, or even creepy
sГ©ances you have with your friends. This year however, I was stuck with cleaning up after the Halloween dance alone. That's right; no one else
was available to help so I got stuck with cleaning almost the entire school on my own, and on Halloween of all days! So, here I am just waiting for
the final few drunken people to leave before I tend to my duties which will surely take all night if not longer. I stood in the front doorway, peering out

As I did, I heard another click and the lights went out which caused me to jump a little.
"This isn't funny!" I called out a little louder this time and waited a moment to see if anything would happen. All I received was an eerie silence with
the occasional wind gust swiping at the skylights. I began to walk very slowly down the hallway while looking every which way. "I dearly hope
someone is behind this. No, don't think like that! There are no such things as ghosts or anything of the sort!" I continued down the hallway
practically trembling at this point. "Crunch!" I jumped back and let out a small squeal as I heard a loud crunch. "What was that?!" I yelled into
the darkness. I fumbled around in my pocket to try to find my phone to use as a flashlight. There was scuffling coming from nearby, though I
couldn't tell if I was just imagining it at this point. "Come out!" My voice filled the hallways now. I closed my eyes partially and held my phone out
to see what had made the crunching sound. The scuffling stopped just as I slowly opened my eyes to see nothing, but a squished plastic bottle on the
ground in front of me. I let out a sigh of relief and bent down to grab the bottle and place it in my garbage bag.
One of the lights at the end of the hall then turned on and flickered a few times as I stood up. What looked like a shadowy figure went around the
corner in an almost inhumane speed. "Hey! Come back here!" I jogged down the hall towards the

Narrative Essay On Halloween
It was Halloween day and man was it tedious, school was creeping by so slowly it felt like forever that the boys were in the dull, old classroom
listening to their teacher ramble on and on about fractions. But then the bell suddenly yelled "ringggg". Brayden, Jhad, Karson and Darnel all
hurried back to Brayden's house in a rush to get dressed up in their coordinating costumes. When they got home Mrs. Williams had after school
special Halloween rice krispy treats ready for all the hungry kids. After they ate a ton they all dashed upstairs in excitement to go and get ready for the
frightening night that awaited them. Once all ready, all of the boys went outside and took pictures in their crazy outfits that they would wear for
"Trick–or–treating." They were now all prepared and began to watch TV to pass some time until it would get darker outside so they could start
collecting candy. The clock seemed like it was going "tick–tock" for days before the boys were able to go out and about on Halloween night. But
finally the sun started to drop and they knew that could only mean one thing, they could finally go "trick–or–treating" which they had been waiting for
all day long. Brayden handed all of the boys a big bag to put their candy in. They went on their way and soon enough their bags were completely full
with delicious treats so they headed back to the house to drop the heavy bags off. "You boys, it's only 7 o'clock and the night has just begun, do you

Essay on My Childhood Memories: Halloween
Halloween has always been my favorite holiday and each year brings new experiences that make me love it even more. My first memory of
Halloween is the costume I went out trick or treating with my grandmother, who lived 500 miles away. She made me a homemade costume that I wish
I still had today. The costume was supposed to be a butterfly. It was purple with butterfly–like markings on the body, wings and antennas, and it
engulfed my small, child–size body the second I put it on. I remember hating that costume, but today I would kill to have it. It was so unique, so one
of a kind. The next memory I have, I went as a typical witch after demanding to be one. I remember my parents thinking it was so unoriginal, which it
may be, but I...show more content...
I loved everything about the holiday. I loved the festiveness, the candy, the tradition, but most of all the costumes. My high school had a contest
every year around Halloween time for the best costume. I was determined to win this contest so each year I worked harder on my outfit. My
freshman year I went as a barrel of monkeys, which went over really well. I won that year. The following year I went as a Christmas tree and lost to
another girl. She had a great costume––a cup of Kraft's Easy Mac. The next year I didn't enter the contest because I didn't have my costume together
in time. For my senior year, I took inspiration from one of my favorite film series: Toy Story. I wanted to go as my favorite character, Mrs. Potato
Head. I made the eyes, nose and other parts of her body with Crayola modeling clay. I worked hard on molding the pieces and making sure I got
them just right. After I was satisfied, I painted them. For the body I got thin, flexible foam. I put cheap brown cloth found anywhere that sells
fabric, and I sewed it on. I did the same thing with the ears except for making them a lighter color. The costume had armholes and leg holes. On the
face of the costume I put some pink blush to make her look more feminine. After I completed my costume I tried it on. I wore pink boots and a pink
purse as accessories. I bought the hands from a store's Mickey Mouse costume. Today, Halloween is still my favorite holiday, but I don't do as much as
I wish I could for

Narrative Essay On Halloween
I realized it was one of my most favorite holidays ever, besides Christmas! It was Halloween! I love Halloween, the sweet smell of pumpkin pies, the
cool and crisp fall air, and especially the dressing up and trick or treating. But, I have a feeling this Halloween was going to be a little different. As
I got dressed I looked at my beautiful Belle costume from Beauty and the Beast. Instead of being the Belle in the yellow dress towards the end of
the movie, I am going to wear a costume of her from the beginning of the movie. This is when she is dressed up as a maid. I liked it better than the
capacious bulky ball–gown. I was so happy when mama showed me her handy–work. It was perfect! But, that is enough of my costume, I don't want to
give away too much! As I was walking around the house ( because we had a day off for the holiday), I had noticed that mama had cooked flapjacks
for breakfast! They were delicious, the sweet syrup, the perfect square of butter, I was flabbergasted! I gobbled them up and quickly washed my
hands because I did not want them to be sticky from the syrup. So finally, I found the Halloween candy stash! I was so excited, but I knew that I
could not take any because my mother would notice that I had taken some. But the candy she bought was so enticing. My mouth was watering while I
was staring at it. Later that evening, I was helping my mama get ready for the Trick–or–Treaters. Then, as I was pouring the immense bag of candy in a
large, plastic tub, I

History Of Halloween Essay
In the nineteenth century, immigrants from Ireland and Scotland carried versions of the Halloween tradition to North America. Other countries such
as Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand adopted the holiday as well. In France Halloween is referred to as la fete
d'Halloween. The holiday is not celebrated to honor the dead and is in fact regarded as an American holiday. It was not until 1966 that Halloween was
observed by the French; before then the holiday was practically unknown. The American Dream Bar/Restaurant in Paris began celebrating Halloween
in 1982. Soon after, companies like French Telecom, Disney, McDonald's and Coca Cola began to use Halloween imagery such pumpkins, ghosts, and
ghouls as a publicity campaign

Halloween Essay : The Dark Story Of Halloween
vIt was late on Hallow's Eve. Everything was still. The children had went inside for the night. The air was stale. No one was in sight. No one
remained awake. It was as if the very existence of life itself had stopped for a brief period in time. That is, everything except for a little, elementary
school boy named Walter and his mother. Walter was as any other typical kid would be the night before Halloween. He was very anxious and eager
for the following night's festivities to occur. Walter anticipated Halloween like no other holiday. He yearned for the sugary goodness of a
Gobstopper and the fruity flavoring of an AirHead. This Halloween though was going to be like no other. Walter had a feeling in his veins that this
Halloween was going to be noteworthy. And it was. As Walter began to settle down for bed, he turned and asked his mother "Can you tell me a
scary story?" "You don't need to hear scary stories before bed. Especially this time of night", his mother said "Please. Just one. What about the one
about the Forest?' "Ok but, just one.", she replied. She tucked Walter into bed and begun to tell him the story. "It all started one Evening", she said.
And so she began to tell Walter about the story of the Spooky Forest. It was Halloween night and all the children had been let out of school for the
day. It was about time for the festivities to begin. There was a little boy around the same age as Walter and he was going trick–or–treating as the
infamous Frankenstein. The

Halloween Story Of Halloween
Once upon a time in Ireland, there was a man named Jack. One day on his way home from a party, after he had drunk too much, he met a demon.
Frightened, he tied up the demon to a tree and drew the cross on it to restrain the devil. He told the demon: "If I let you go, you would have to help
me to stay out of hell." They agreed to the deal, and the man let the demon go. When he died of old age, he could not go to Heaven because of all of
his sins–from excessive eating to drinking and lying. When he was falling to Hell, he remembered the deal he had made with the devil and called on
it. The demon came and helped him by throwing its flame at him. The man used a turnip to store the fire and therefore, did not fall into Hell.
However, he could not go to Heaven either. He wandered about and survived by the flame from the demon.
Now, the pumpkin replaced the turnip because pumpkin is easier to carve, and pumpkin carving became a fun activity on Halloween.
That was a beautiful Halloween story to explain the holiday. In Buddhism, we compare carving and hollowing out the pumpkin to emptying all our
irrationality and prejudices to free ourselves and bring out the light of the True Mind.
On Halloween, we also put on costumes. This custom also originated from Ireland and spread from Europe to America. It has become commercialized
and differed from the original form. The tradition of wearing costumes on Halloween started with the belief in demons who went door to door asking

Halloween, a holiday many of us know and love. A day when we celebrate together with our friends, family, neighbors and community. We go from
door to door collecting candy, sweets and much more, racing on who can approach the most houses or who can collect the most candy in the
group. It is all fun and games when trick or treating, and it has evolved into so much more than from the past. As years pass by, we celebrate this
holiday annually, but of everything we've taken in from being children through our teen and adult years, do we truly know the background of
Halloween Day? Halloween is not only one of the most popular holidays, but is also one of the oldest, and can be dated back to about 2,000 years ago.

This was called "souling" and children were considered to be "soulers". Not only did they go door to door and beg for food and money, there was also a
lot of decorating involved and the most important and popular decoration was the jack–o–lantern. Now many people would say that the jack–o–lantern
is just a carved face into a pumpkin, yet there is a much bigger purpose of why the tradition of the jack–o–lantern came about. Back then,
jack–o–lanterns were carved and carried a candle that would bring light to the dark from evil spirits. There was a legend of a boy named Jack, and on
Halloween day he celebrated throughout the town with a pumpkin which had trapped the devil inside. The devil is soon released and curses Jack
down to hell, and every year on Halloween, the gates of hell would open and Jack would escape and cause chaos. This led people to carve scary faces
into pumpkins, and when Jack was exposed to a jack–o–lantern he would think it was the devil and would be scared off, hence how it got the name
jack–o–lantern. Green 3 After years and years of this tradition and holiday, it began to spread amongst other areas in the world. In the U.K, "guising"
became very popular and was rising very quickly during the 19th century. In the U.K it was very similar; children would dress up in costumes, etc,
however they did things a bit differently. They didn't go door to door and beg, but instead they performed for

Trick or Treat? Candy, costumes, and frights. Halloween can be a very entertaining holiday for people of all ages; from the various costume
designs and the many hours spent putting the costume together, to the parties and decorations; this holiday is viewed with festivity. Halloween is
one of America's top ten celebrated holidays and it's no wonder with the large percentage of people who partake in this celebration. What people
may neglect or fail to put into consideration are the dangers of Halloween. Halloween was derived from the Celtic holiday All Hallows' Eve which
was celebrated on the last day of harvest, October 31st. The day was believed to be a gateway between the living and the dead and thus described as
being pagan. In the past people had viewed this day with great contempt due to the fear of unearthly spirits coming back from the grave to cause havoc

Happy Halloteen
Halloween: the holiday where as kids we couldn't wait to go door to door to achieve the golden goal of a full bag of candy. Halloween soon turns into a
question mark for teens; in an instant, there is a change of when it is 'appropriate' to go trick–or–treating and when you should just move on. Are you
the one who thinks Trick–or–treating is lame or the one who still walks around your neighborhood every year –– no matter how many dirty looks you
may get. What teenagers decide to do on Halloween varies: going to a party, passing out candy, staying home are a few popular options. Throughout
my highschool experience I have been able to witness and experience all different types of halloteens, each with their own traits.
The...show more content...
You know no matter what you wear people will still know your age, so you choose the comfortable route: a onesie. Throwing on a snug, warm, animal
shaped onesie is the best option if you still want people to think you dressed up.
It takes a lot of confidence to fall into this category because the only explanations for going trick–or–treating is to own up to it or make an excuse that
your sibling is dragging you along and you deserve a treat too. Walking around the culdesac you start to think, wow, I am getting too old for this, it
is way too cold: until you look down in your bag noticing you only have five pieces of candy. The fight carries on until 8 o'clock when peoples lights
start to go out and bowls become empty. Finally getting home looking back down at your bag you know you've made the right choice.
This next option is for teens who want a more relaxing night, but still want to be apart of the Halloween festivities. These are the 'I wish I was brave
enough to go Trick–or–Treating halloteens.' Still craving candy, but not having any siblings left to steal candy from can be difficult. The next best
option is to pass out the candy and hope that there is more left over at the end of the night. "Take one," you say as you secretly hope the kids won't
take your favorite candy. Saying take one isn't as impactful as it seems because the children are determined to get as much candy as possible and will
sneak a couple extra

Halloween Short Story
To begin this story I will tell you what my mom thinks of Halloween. Don't get me wrong I love and respect my mom but that doesn't mean I agree
with her all the time. My mom along with other people believe that on Halloween spirits come out to celebrate the existence of their dark lord Satan,
and by dressing up we are showing the dark spirits that we support what they are doing. That is what my mom thinks along with many other reasons.
My mom is the type of mom when she says something it's final unless you have a really good reason to contradict her. To put it short my mom is a
Mexican mom. Anyway going back to the story. October thirty–first, 2017. "Are you going to go Trick or Treating, Emerson?" asked one girl. "Are
you going to go Trick or Treating, Emerson?" asked another boy. "Are you going to go Trick or Treating, Emerson?" asked my best friend. All
those times I had to say nope. "No, I get to go to church and praise my Saviour Jesus Christ on Halloween for not sending me to hell early." I didn't
actually say the Jesus Christ part but the rest I did. Once at my house I received a knock on my door. I open it up and it's a bunch of little mocking
little kids saying "Trick or Treat." This happened 5 times. On my fourth time saying "Sorry I don't have candy," and having to explain why I didn't
have freaking candy, I started to get really mad. The fifth gang of little evil midgets coming at my door was when I let it all go. "Trick or Treat!" said
the little kid.

Descriptive Essay About Halloween
Halloween. Halloween is a favorite time of year for many children. It is the time of year when the air gets crisp and the leaves get crunchy. All the
warm smells of cinnamon and pumpkin come out, and the sticky, sweaty clothes are replaced with warm, cozy sweaters. Kids have been waiting all
month for the one night where they can eat as much candy as they want, and talk to strangers! Everyone pities the kids who don't dress up and pass
out candy. But this year, they're the lucky ones. It was Halloween night, 2016. Matthew and his friends were getting ready to go trick–or–treating.
Matthew was super excited, Halloween was his favorite holiday. Matthew was in the 7th grade. He had bright blue eyes and auburn hair. He had
freckles that covered the top of his nose, right about where his glasses sat down. His voice was somewhat deep, but still had that middle school
puberty sound. He was about the height of his mother, but was still an ant when compared to his dad.
Matthew was 13 years old, it was his first year being an official "teenager." He was hoping his parents would let him go out with his friends instead
of being babysat by his parents. His friends have been making fun of him for a couple of years now, for they had been allowed to go by themselves
since they were eleven. This year, Matthew made the executive decision, go with his friends, or don't go at all. But it all lied in the hands of his parents
"It's now or never." Matthew thought. "Try to act as mature as

Watching Halloween movies with friends and dressing up pets

  • 1. Descriptive Essay On Halloween My perfect Halloween would be a night of just chilling and watching a marathon of halloween movies and eating sweets. the party's I would have will at mossy have 2–5 close friends and we would probably just play video games if there is more than 3 people there. But costume wise if I did go outside and walk around with my dogs I think I would just put on a onesie and show off my dressed up pups. If I did buy candy I would just get an assortment of different kinds. But let's go into more detail about these three ideal halloween must haves. A perfect party for someone like me contains just a few friends or just even one close one just chilling on a bean bag watching scary movies for hours on end wile eating our favorite halloween snacks. But most importantly you need people that will just sit and talk because who dosent like to talk about scary stories or "ghost" encounters. Like friends that commit to watching scary movies with you are real friends because they show you their scared side unless there are stone and barely have any fears at all. Halloween parties are fun with a lot of people but with a few close people you can do so much more activities big crowds could't do. for instance hide and seek in a small house, video games that can only handle two players at a time, and the price of just enough pizza for 2 or 3 compared to 15 or 20 is a big difference. If i got bored of that a perfect halloween costume would be a shark onesie and my dog on a leash and wearing a fish Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Halloween: America's Tradition Halloween Halloween is one of the major events of America's tradition. I'm fond of the idea of dressing up in awesome costumes. Kids put lots of effort into dressing up and walking down the street, getting candy. It is a big night for trick–or–treating. The trick–or–treating is my favorite part of Halloween. Halloween these days is a threat to our cities. It is one of the deadliest days of the year. For example, the rising in deaths of kids getting hit by cars, the car accidents involved with drunk drivers, and the feeling of being insecure walking at night in the community. All of the excitement from fancy dresses, scary make–up, and mass of trick–or–treaters, it is easier for drivers to get distracted. Some kids in dark colored costumes Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Halloween Research Paper Are you already starting to plan out Halloween party ideas for your kids? Do you want to make sure that you have the best kids' party in the neighborhood? When planning a Halloween party for children, it's important to make sure that you have the right mix of fun and scary. Here are some tips and ideas to get you started: Have plenty of games: Today's kids probably aren't going to be satisfied with bowls of "brains" (cooked spaghetti) and "monkey eyeballs" (peeled grapes) to entertain them. When making up lists of party games for your guests, make sure that you have more games than you think can be played in one evening. Kids will quickly get bored of "eyeball golf" or other games, quickly leaving you without any entertainment if you haven't planned carefully. For younger children, purchase dry ice and put chunks of it into the bottom of a large styrofoam cooler. Put a layer of thin styrofoam on top, but poke holes in the styrofoam so that vapor can get through. On top of this, place a layer of thick window screen. As the cooler fills with fog from the dry ice, add a number of different colored marbles to the bottom of the cooler. Tell the children that they are ghosts or ghouls and that the marbles are people. The first child to collect all of his or her color of marbles wins the game....show more content... Put fist–sized chunks of dry ice into a punch bowl for a creepy bowl of "blood" to drink. Or you can also use some blue food coloring to tint pineapple juice green for delicious "swamp slime" that everyone will love. As the dry ice melts, it will boil and give off fog that will give your table an appropriately creepy look. Obviously, these drinks should be served in a decorative witch's Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Halloween Persuasive Essay Should We Celebrate Halloween? Introduction: The Origin of Halloween Halloween has become the second most anticipated holiday for children after Christmas. Halloween was first celebrated by the Celts, who lived in Scotland and Ireland in ancient times. The Celts held a special festival to celebrate Samhain, the god of the dead. The day they choose was their New Year's Eve, October 31 on our calendar. They believed the souls of the dead returned to visit their homes on this one night of the year to try to find another body to inhabit. In nowadays many people and their kids celebrate holiday it became family tradition, therefore many people disprove celebration of Halloween. What does Halloween celebrate? Although celebrating of Halloween became one of our funny holidays in which families, friends and their kids can reveal their spirits and release their soul. Doubt about celebrating or not will be out there, but the question is, should we celebrate Halloween? The answer is "no". Halloween gives impressive record of people who celebrate Halloween than those people who said "no". As a result of peoples lack of understanding in Halloween being a festival of death. If he can keep us from ever knowing Allah (swt) in our lifetime, he has won our soul forever. We will go to hell. The problem for him is that we all have an overwhelming desire to know God. We know that we are spiritual beings, at least most of us do. From the time that we can think about why we are here, we are thinking about what comes after death. Personally, I believe that God has put that irresistible urge within us to draw us to Him. That is a problem for Satan, but he has come up with many stumbling blocks to put in our way. • 5. Descriptive Essay : ' Halloween ' Ah, Halloween. It's probably one of my most favorite holidays. Not only because of the mass amounts of candy that people fill their backpacks and pockets with, but also because of the wonderful frights we all get to experience. Whether it's through scary movies, haunted houses, or even creepy sГ©ances you have with your friends. This year however, I was stuck with cleaning up after the Halloween dance alone. That's right; no one else was available to help so I got stuck with cleaning almost the entire school on my own, and on Halloween of all days! So, here I am just waiting for the final few drunken people to leave before I tend to my duties which will surely take all night if not longer. I stood in the front doorway, peering out at the...show more content... As I did, I heard another click and the lights went out which caused me to jump a little. "This isn't funny!" I called out a little louder this time and waited a moment to see if anything would happen. All I received was an eerie silence with the occasional wind gust swiping at the skylights. I began to walk very slowly down the hallway while looking every which way. "I dearly hope someone is behind this. No, don't think like that! There are no such things as ghosts or anything of the sort!" I continued down the hallway practically trembling at this point. "Crunch!" I jumped back and let out a small squeal as I heard a loud crunch. "What was that?!" I yelled into the darkness. I fumbled around in my pocket to try to find my phone to use as a flashlight. There was scuffling coming from nearby, though I couldn't tell if I was just imagining it at this point. "Come out!" My voice filled the hallways now. I closed my eyes partially and held my phone out to see what had made the crunching sound. The scuffling stopped just as I slowly opened my eyes to see nothing, but a squished plastic bottle on the ground in front of me. I let out a sigh of relief and bent down to grab the bottle and place it in my garbage bag. One of the lights at the end of the hall then turned on and flickered a few times as I stood up. What looked like a shadowy figure went around the corner in an almost inhumane speed. "Hey! Come back here!" I jogged down the hall towards the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. Narrative Essay On Halloween It was Halloween day and man was it tedious, school was creeping by so slowly it felt like forever that the boys were in the dull, old classroom listening to their teacher ramble on and on about fractions. But then the bell suddenly yelled "ringggg". Brayden, Jhad, Karson and Darnel all hurried back to Brayden's house in a rush to get dressed up in their coordinating costumes. When they got home Mrs. Williams had after school special Halloween rice krispy treats ready for all the hungry kids. After they ate a ton they all dashed upstairs in excitement to go and get ready for the frightening night that awaited them. Once all ready, all of the boys went outside and took pictures in their crazy outfits that they would wear for "Trick–or–treating." They were now all prepared and began to watch TV to pass some time until it would get darker outside so they could start collecting candy. The clock seemed like it was going "tick–tock" for days before the boys were able to go out and about on Halloween night. But finally the sun started to drop and they knew that could only mean one thing, they could finally go "trick–or–treating" which they had been waiting for all day long. Brayden handed all of the boys a big bag to put their candy in. They went on their way and soon enough their bags were completely full with delicious treats so they headed back to the house to drop the heavy bags off. "You boys, it's only 7 o'clock and the night has just begun, do you want to go back out Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Essay on My Childhood Memories: Halloween Halloween has always been my favorite holiday and each year brings new experiences that make me love it even more. My first memory of Halloween is the costume I went out trick or treating with my grandmother, who lived 500 miles away. She made me a homemade costume that I wish I still had today. The costume was supposed to be a butterfly. It was purple with butterfly–like markings on the body, wings and antennas, and it engulfed my small, child–size body the second I put it on. I remember hating that costume, but today I would kill to have it. It was so unique, so one of a kind. The next memory I have, I went as a typical witch after demanding to be one. I remember my parents thinking it was so unoriginal, which it may be, but I...show more content... I loved everything about the holiday. I loved the festiveness, the candy, the tradition, but most of all the costumes. My high school had a contest every year around Halloween time for the best costume. I was determined to win this contest so each year I worked harder on my outfit. My freshman year I went as a barrel of monkeys, which went over really well. I won that year. The following year I went as a Christmas tree and lost to another girl. She had a great costume––a cup of Kraft's Easy Mac. The next year I didn't enter the contest because I didn't have my costume together in time. For my senior year, I took inspiration from one of my favorite film series: Toy Story. I wanted to go as my favorite character, Mrs. Potato Head. I made the eyes, nose and other parts of her body with Crayola modeling clay. I worked hard on molding the pieces and making sure I got them just right. After I was satisfied, I painted them. For the body I got thin, flexible foam. I put cheap brown cloth found anywhere that sells fabric, and I sewed it on. I did the same thing with the ears except for making them a lighter color. The costume had armholes and leg holes. On the face of the costume I put some pink blush to make her look more feminine. After I completed my costume I tried it on. I wore pink boots and a pink purse as accessories. I bought the hands from a store's Mickey Mouse costume. Today, Halloween is still my favorite holiday, but I don't do as much as I wish I could for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Narrative Essay On Halloween I realized it was one of my most favorite holidays ever, besides Christmas! It was Halloween! I love Halloween, the sweet smell of pumpkin pies, the cool and crisp fall air, and especially the dressing up and trick or treating. But, I have a feeling this Halloween was going to be a little different. As I got dressed I looked at my beautiful Belle costume from Beauty and the Beast. Instead of being the Belle in the yellow dress towards the end of the movie, I am going to wear a costume of her from the beginning of the movie. This is when she is dressed up as a maid. I liked it better than the capacious bulky ball–gown. I was so happy when mama showed me her handy–work. It was perfect! But, that is enough of my costume, I don't want to give away too much! As I was walking around the house ( because we had a day off for the holiday), I had noticed that mama had cooked flapjacks for breakfast! They were delicious, the sweet syrup, the perfect square of butter, I was flabbergasted! I gobbled them up and quickly washed my hands because I did not want them to be sticky from the syrup. So finally, I found the Halloween candy stash! I was so excited, but I knew that I could not take any because my mother would notice that I had taken some. But the candy she bought was so enticing. My mouth was watering while I was staring at it. Later that evening, I was helping my mama get ready for the Trick–or–Treaters. Then, as I was pouring the immense bag of candy in a large, plastic tub, I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. History Of Halloween Essay In the nineteenth century, immigrants from Ireland and Scotland carried versions of the Halloween tradition to North America. Other countries such as Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand adopted the holiday as well. In France Halloween is referred to as la fete d'Halloween. The holiday is not celebrated to honor the dead and is in fact regarded as an American holiday. It was not until 1966 that Halloween was observed by the French; before then the holiday was practically unknown. The American Dream Bar/Restaurant in Paris began celebrating Halloween in 1982. Soon after, companies like French Telecom, Disney, McDonald's and Coca Cola began to use Halloween imagery such pumpkins, ghosts, and ghouls as a publicity campaign Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Halloween Essay : The Dark Story Of Halloween vIt was late on Hallow's Eve. Everything was still. The children had went inside for the night. The air was stale. No one was in sight. No one remained awake. It was as if the very existence of life itself had stopped for a brief period in time. That is, everything except for a little, elementary school boy named Walter and his mother. Walter was as any other typical kid would be the night before Halloween. He was very anxious and eager for the following night's festivities to occur. Walter anticipated Halloween like no other holiday. He yearned for the sugary goodness of a Gobstopper and the fruity flavoring of an AirHead. This Halloween though was going to be like no other. Walter had a feeling in his veins that this Halloween was going to be noteworthy. And it was. As Walter began to settle down for bed, he turned and asked his mother "Can you tell me a scary story?" "You don't need to hear scary stories before bed. Especially this time of night", his mother said "Please. Just one. What about the one about the Forest?' "Ok but, just one.", she replied. She tucked Walter into bed and begun to tell him the story. "It all started one Evening", she said. And so she began to tell Walter about the story of the Spooky Forest. It was Halloween night and all the children had been let out of school for the day. It was about time for the festivities to begin. There was a little boy around the same age as Walter and he was going trick–or–treating as the infamous Frankenstein. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Halloween Story Of Halloween Once upon a time in Ireland, there was a man named Jack. One day on his way home from a party, after he had drunk too much, he met a demon. Frightened, he tied up the demon to a tree and drew the cross on it to restrain the devil. He told the demon: "If I let you go, you would have to help me to stay out of hell." They agreed to the deal, and the man let the demon go. When he died of old age, he could not go to Heaven because of all of his sins–from excessive eating to drinking and lying. When he was falling to Hell, he remembered the deal he had made with the devil and called on it. In Buddhism, we compare carving and hollowing out the pumpkin to emptying all our irrationality and prejudices to free ourselves and bring out the light of the True Mind. On Halloween, we also put on costumes. This custom also originated from Ireland and spread from Europe to America. It has become commercialized and differed from the original form. The tradition of wearing costumes on Halloween started with the belief in demons who went door to door asking for people's Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Halloween Essay Halloween, a holiday many of us know and love. A day when we celebrate together with our friends, family, neighbors and community. We go from door to door collecting candy, sweets and much more, racing on who can approach the most houses or who can collect the most candy in the group. It is all fun and games when trick or treating, and it has evolved into so much more than from the past. As years pass by, we celebrate this holiday annually, but of everything we've taken in from being children through our teen and adult years, do we truly know the background of Halloween Day? Halloween is not only one of the most popular holidays, but is also one of the oldest, and can be dated back to about 2,000 years ago. It is also known to have started...show more content... This was called "souling" and children were considered to be "soulers". Not only did they go door to door and beg for food and money, there was also a lot of decorating involved and the most important and popular decoration was the jack–o–lantern. Now many people would say that the jack–o–lantern is just a carved face into a pumpkin, yet there is a much bigger purpose of why the tradition of the jack–o–lantern came about. Back then, jack–o–lanterns were carved and carried a candle that would bring light to the dark from evil spirits. There was a legend of a boy named Jack, and on Halloween day he celebrated throughout the town with a pumpkin which had trapped the devil inside. The devil is soon released and curses Jack down to hell, and every year on Halloween, the gates of hell would open and Jack would escape and cause chaos. This led people to carve scary faces into pumpkins, and when Jack was exposed to a jack–o–lantern he would think it was the devil and would be scared off, hence how it got the name jack–o–lantern. Green 3 After years and years of this tradition and holiday, it began to spread amongst other areas in the world. In the U.K, "guising" became very popular and was rising very quickly during the 19th century. In the U.K it was very similar; children would dress up in costumes, etc, however they did things a bit differently. • 14. Halloween Informative Essay Trick or Treat? Candy, costumes, and frights. Halloween can be a very entertaining holiday for people of all ages; from the various costume designs and the many hours spent putting the costume together, to the parties and decorations; this holiday is viewed with festivity. Halloween is one of America's top ten celebrated holidays and it's no wonder with the large percentage of people who partake in this celebration. What people may neglect or fail to put into consideration are the dangers of Halloween. Halloween was derived from the Celtic holiday All Hallows' Eve which was celebrated on the last day of harvest, October 31st. The day was believed to be a gateway between the living and the dead and thus described as being pagan. In the past people had viewed this day with great contempt due to the fear of unearthly spirits coming back from the grave to cause havoc by...show more content... Some disguise themselves in costumes for the sole purpose of wreaking havoc and tormenting children. There is no telling what may occur on October 31st because people are unpredictable. • 15. Argumentative Essay On Halloween Happy Halloteen Halloween: the holiday where as kids we couldn't wait to go door to door to achieve the golden goal of a full bag of candy. Halloween soon turns into a question mark for teens; in an instant, there is a change of when it is 'appropriate' to go trick–or–treating and when you should just move on. Are you the one who thinks Trick–or–treating is lame or the one who still walks around your neighborhood every year –– no matter how many dirty looks you may get. What teenagers decide to do on Halloween varies: going to a party, passing out candy, staying home are a few popular options. Throughout my highschool experience I have been able to witness and experience all different types of halloteens, each with their own traits. The...show more content... You know no matter what you wear people will still know your age, so you choose the comfortable route: a onesie. Throwing on a snug, warm, animal shaped onesie is the best option if you still want people to think you dressed up. It takes a lot of confidence to fall into this category because the only explanations for going trick–or–treating is to own up to it or make an excuse that your sibling is dragging you along and you deserve a treat too. Walking around the culdesac you start to think, wow, I am getting too old for this, it is way too cold: until you look down in your bag noticing you only have five pieces of candy. The fight carries on until 8 o'clock when peoples lights start to go out and bowls become empty. Finally getting home looking back down at your bag you know you've made the right choice. This next option is for teens who want a more relaxing night, but still want to be apart of the Halloween festivities. These are the 'I wish I was brave enough to go Trick–or–Treating halloteens.' Still craving candy, but not having any siblings left to steal candy from can be difficult. The next best option is to pass out the candy and hope that there is more left over at the end of the night. "Take one," you say as you secretly hope the kids won't take your favorite candy. Saying take one isn't as impactful as it seems because the children are determined to get as much candy as possible and will sneak a couple extra Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Halloween Short Story To begin this story I will tell you what my mom thinks of Halloween. Don't get me wrong I love and respect my mom but that doesn't mean I agree with her all the time. My mom along with other people believe that on Halloween spirits come out to celebrate the existence of their dark lord Satan, and by dressing up we are showing the dark spirits that we support what they are doing. That is what my mom thinks along with many other reasons. My mom is the type of mom when she says something it's final unless you have a really good reason to contradict her. To put it short my mom is a Mexican mom. Anyway going back to the story. October thirty–first, 2017. "Are you going to go Trick or Treating, Emerson?" asked one girl. "Are you going to go Trick or Treating, Emerson?" asked another boy. "Are you going to go Trick or Treating, Emerson?" asked my best friend. All those times I had to say nope. "No, I get to go to church and praise my Saviour Jesus Christ on Halloween for not sending me to hell early." I didn't actually say the Jesus Christ part but the rest I did. Once at my house I received a knock on my door. I open it up and it's a bunch of little mocking little kids saying "Trick or Treat." This happened 5 times. On my fourth time saying "Sorry I don't have candy," and having to explain why I didn't have freaking candy, I started to get really mad. The fifth gang of little evil midgets coming at my door was when I let it all go. "Trick or Treat!" said the little kid. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Halloween Trick or Treating Story Essay Waylon and his older brother Jesse were spending another Halloween pounding the pavement. It was getting dark and cold. Mom and dad sat in the minivan across the street as the kids knocked on doors and did their best to scare the residents of Tucson. Waylon was dressed as SpongeBob, while his big brother had dressed up as a pirate. Of course Jesse was the best he told everyone so. "We better make this the last house, WayWay. It's getting cold and mom is tired," Jesse said holding his hand. "Well let's do the scary house last," Waylon said. "The spooky house?" Jesse asked. Waylon smiled wide and pointed across the road to a massive black house all on its own. It sat at the end of the cul– de– sac, black timber slats and a yard that ...show more content... "WayWay!," Jesse said loud, trying to not shout in case he woke the residents up. He scuttled down the path after his brother, who was determined to knock on this door. Up the rickety porch steps he went, it creaked and crackled under his weight. "No.... stop!" Jesse yelled as Waylon reached up and pulled the door knocker back to swing it. BOOM! The door shuddered so hard it scared Waylon. Jesse scrambled up the steps and held his hand. "This better be a candy house," Jesse said shaking like a leaf. They stood with their candy bags out as they heard loud thudding footsteps. "I'm scared Jesse," Waylon said. The doorknob turned and a tall man in black clothing stood glaring at them. The two kids gazed up at him shivering in their shoes. Jesse elbowed his brother forwards. "Ummm ahh trick or ...... treat?" Waylon said. The tall man glared at them. In his hand was a bowl of candy, all types of chocolate , hard candy, liquorice and chocolate marshmallows. He stood glaring at them for a second, and then lowered his huge body to eye level. His face was pale and scabby. "I choose TRICK!" he yelled as he dropped the candy on the floor and chased after them. "Run!!" Jesse screamed as he grabbed Waylon's hand dragging him down the rickety steps and along the yard past the knobbly grass stumps and half broken bicycles. Jesse turned quickly and he could see the man looking at them, chasing them with his arms out stretched. "I'm gonna get you kids!" The crazy Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. English Halloween Essay A perfect halloween It was a perfect Halloween night. There was a full harvest moon, the wind was howling, the neighborhood was quiet; even though kids were trick–or–treating. My friends and I were waiting to go outside. Andrew, a blue eyed nerd, was already excited to go outside. Ashley, Alex and I were calm, but anxious. We all agreed to go out when it got darker. We were all dressed up as zombies, the ones that ate guts and such. "Lets go! Can we please start and get some candy now!!" Yells Andrew. We all gear up for the night. We say good –byes to our parents and head off into the darkness. Our first couple of houses were great! We each got handfuls of delicious candy! After about 20 houses, we could barley lift our bags....show more content... It was dark. It was drafty. It was dead. We look around to find a light switch, only to find 2 candles and 1 match. The soft glow of the candles illuminates the room. We see cob webs in the corners, dust on the tables, and sheets on furniture. In another room we see nothing but piles of broken cement from the slowly cracking ceilings, decaying walls, and broken glass from windows. A stray black cat hisses and scurries past our feet into the dark. As we start touring the house, we start hearing moans and groans, then voices from upstairs. All of a sudden our candles blow out and we all scream. We all run in different directions, trying to find a way out. It felt like a maze, we were the dumb rats trying to find that one piece of cheese. One by one, I hear screams of my friends. I start running faster and faster, till my hear explodes trying to find the front door. Scared, and petrified I feel a cold bloody hand pull me back into the darkness. ––––––––––––––––––––––– MISSING! • 19. Descriptive Essay About Halloween Halloween. Halloween is a favorite time of year for many children. It is the time of year when the air gets crisp and the leaves get crunchy. All the warm smells of cinnamon and pumpkin come out, and the sticky, sweaty clothes are replaced with warm, cozy sweaters. Kids have been waiting all month for the one night where they can eat as much candy as they want, and talk to strangers! Everyone pities the kids who don't dress up and pass out candy. He had freckles that covered the top of his nose, right about where his glasses sat down. His voice was somewhat deep, but still had that middle school puberty sound. He was about the height of his mother, but was still an ant when compared to his dad. Matthew was 13 years old, it was his first year being an official "teenager." He was hoping his parents would let him go out with his friends instead of being babysat by his parents. His friends have been making fun of him for a couple of years now, for they had been allowed to go by themselves since they were eleven. This year, Matthew made the executive decision, go with his friends, or don't go at all. But it all lied in the hands of his parents "It's now or never." Matthew thought.
