Functional Olive Oil is an Effective Protector of Our Health
The term “functional food” defines foods that have some benefits to health along
with nutrients. Another words; they are defined as foods and food ingredients that
beyond providing body’s main nutritional requirements, provide additional
benefits to human physiology and metabolic functions and by this way provide
protection against diseases and help achieving more healthier life. Aside from
nutritive effects, depending on one or more effective ingredients, foods that have
properties like having protective, regenerative effects on health and/or provide
reduced risk of getting sick, and if these properties are proved both scientifically
and clinically, are known as functional food. Sufficient amount of presence of
these functional foods in our nutrition is important in terms of their detractive
effects over risk of getting chronic diseases leading with cancer, cardiovascular
diseases, obesity, Alzheimer’s disease and Type 2 diabetes.
Functional Olive Oil, is the olive oil that we use in our daily lives which is
enriched by different antioxidants that have beneficial effects on our health. Olive
oil that enriched by curcumin and oleuropein antioxidants at the position of
protector of our general health because of containing molecules that have so many
beneficial effects on our health.
Functional Olive Oil that we developed by using advanced
technology basically contains antioxidants like oleuropein,
hydroxyl trisol, curcumin which are scientifically proved that
have beneficial effects on our health. Scientific studies made
by using oleuropein and curcumin molecules, discovered that
these molecules are not only strong antioxidants, protective
against cancer and destroyer of cancerous cells; and have
anti-inflammatory, anti-atherosclerotic, antimicrobial and
antiviral affects; but they also discovered to have anti-aging,
anti-neurodegenerative nature. The amount of Oleuropein
molecule, which can have enormous contributions for
protecting of our health, is not more than 5 mg/liters in any
high quality olive oil. One of the main reasons of this
situation is that the amount of these molecule in the leaves of
the olive trees is higher than in olives.
In functional olive oil that we developed,
oleuropein molecule is extracted from olive leaves
by using advanced technologies and purified and
then added to the olive oil. By this way, the
functional olive oil that we produced contains
approximately 10 times more (50-60 mg/lt)
bioactive ingredient when compared to any high
quality olive oil. An olive oil with this quality is
not yet present in the market. Besides with the
addition of curcumin to olive oil, it is estimated
that the high proportion of our society will benefit
from the health protective properties of curcumin.
