Quinte Support Services provides counseling, housing, and employment services through three main branches - Youthhab, the Addictions Center, and Family Space. Youthhab offers counseling paid for by Ontario for those ages 16-24, as well as a three-step housing program and summer jobs for youth ages 15-18. The Addictions Center assists with addictions issues across four Belleville locations. Family Space supports teen mothers under age 21 through social and parenting programs.

4. All counselling is paid for by the government of Ontario
All citizens ages 16-24 are welcome
Counselling styles include one-on-one, pairs, family, or groups
General topics include relationship counselling, anger management, self-
esteem, good health and managing stress
Specialized counselling for eating disorders and anger management available
Youthhab workers are present for student counselling in many schools in the
Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board

5. Youthhab has a three step program for housing; The Transition Home, Co-
Operative Housing, & Independent Living.
The Transition Home is a large group environment with set guidelines and a
counsellor to assist with adapting to the new circumstances.
Co-Operative housing is the next step in which two too three youth live together
with counsellor assistance.
Once a youth is ready to live independently The Hastings Housing Resource Centre
(HHRC) will assist with housing arrangements.

8. Addictions Center
Assists with drug, alcohol and gambling addictions
Present in four locations across Belleville
Statistically 25% of all highschool students by grade 12
will have tried alcohol or marijuana and 8% have used
hard drugs or prescription medication.
Open to all ages
Specialized program developed for each individual
Counselling and follow up required for many action plans

Funded by United way of Quinte in association with the
federal and provincial governments
Assists by helping those new to the area to settle and
begin their lives in Canada
Promotes acceptance in the Belleville area
Assists with job matching, living accommodations and
basic living necessities
Available to any immigrants in Belleville a number just
under almost 10%
