The implementation of co-curriculum
• Co-curricular activities is a part of the National Curriculum
• The students are allowed to pick the area of co-curricular activities based
on their interest
• It is compulsory for students to participate in the co-curricular activities
• It is compulsory for teachers to participate in the co-curricular activities
• Minimum time allocation per week: Primary schools: 60 – 120 minutes
Secondary schools: 100 – 180 minutes
• The schools are allowed to choose establish uniform body, clubs and
sports according to local needs, equipment facilities, trainers and existing
facilities in schools.
