Public Fleet PEV Program
• Accepting Applications through Dec 31, 2014, up to $2
million available for the Program
• Only Public Agencies are eligible to apply
• Rebates for the purchase or lease of pre-qualified
vehicles:
– $1,000 for light-duty Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle
– $2,500 for light duty Battery Electric Vehicle
• Vehicles must be operated for a minimum of 3 years

Shuttle and Rideshare Program

• Scheduled to launch June/July
• Up to $4 million available
• Funding available only to Public Agencies
• Project Types
– Existing and Pilot Shuttle/Feeder Bus Service Projects
– Regional Rideshare
• First-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted

• Eligibility Requirements
– Owned/Operated HDV equipment – 75% in Air District
– Achieve surplus emission reductions over 3 years
– Meet off-road vehicle regulations
– Cost-effective projects
• Project Types
– up to 80% of the cost of equipment replacement
• Example: Replacement of diesel powered ground support equipment
w/ electric equipment
– up to 85% of the cost of engine replacement
– up to 100% of the cost to purchase and install engine retrofit

• On-road trucks: Voucher Incentive Program (VIP)
– Funding for retrofits and replacements
• Marine vessels:
– Up to 85% of the cost of a main or auxiliary engine replacement
• Locomotives:
– Up to 85% of the cost of a locomotive replacement
• Stationary agricultural engines:
– Up to 85% of the cost of a stationary agricultural engine
