1. My Failure In Football
Most people view failure as a mistake and respond poorly by putting themselves down and giving up. In reality failure is a life lesson that can help
you make your life better in the future. In the past, I have experienced failure in soccer by not making the starting varsity team in my junior year. I
was very eager for the high school season to start and the chance to play soccer at the varsity level. After a long week of excruciating tryouts the head
coach told me I would not have much playing time on the varsity team but he gave me the option of playing as a starter on junior varsity. When I
was given the news I was disappointed to hear that my other friends were offered positions on the varsity team and I was not. After thinking about
the situation, I decided that I would rather work hard and develop my skills with the varsity squad during practices. While, I was not looking
forward to riding the bench for the season, I felt that the higher level of competition in practice would give me the opportunity to be a better player
in my senior year. I also felt that I had positive assets and skills to offer the varsity squad as a fellow teammate. Some of the assets that I...show more

Every day I continued to practice hard, displayed good teammate qualities and respect for the coaches and the lessons they were teaching. Throughout
the season I continued to have the complete support of my teammates and my coaches as well as the internal desire to succeed. As our team began to
lose our competitive advantage during the season, the coaches decided to change things up with the starting lineup. I was moved up as a starter on the
varsity team to show the other members of the team that if you continue to work hard, display a great work ethic and put the team in front of your
personal goals you can achieve anything in school and in

2. Perseverance Make Me Wrong
There I was cooking breakfast for my family in my kitchen. I finished eggs, waffles, toast, and I was waiting for the French toast to finish cooking.
Then I forgot to let my dog inside so I went to let him in, and when I got back I lifted the pan and I burnt the French Toast. Smoke poured out and
the a subtle blast of charred eggs toast and cinnamon. I felt like I had ruined the breakfast for everyone. That day I learned that I need to have
perseverance and friend family support to turn a moments fail into a success. One way someone can make a success is to have perseverance.
Perseverance is like determination or not giving up no matter how difficult. The more Someone practice the more they learn or as some people say
ВЁpractice makes perfectВЁ. When I mess up breakfast for the next 3 breakfasts I made french toast to practice they got better and better until I made
one that was very good. This is a reason for someone to practice whenever it is....show more content...
If someone were to say something like ВЁ they're bad at soccerВЁ then they might not want to practice any more. The opposite can also be true if
someone's friend said ВЁthey're ok at football but, they might need some practiceВЁ then that person might want to practice more. Having friends
try what someone need help with can help quite a lot .cooking and them saying things like good job, maybe more salt. Thing like evaluating
someone or judging someone can help them based on other people's opinions. When I failed at making breakfast I used perseverance and family and
friend support helped me succeed. There are many ways to change a failure to a success. I turned my failure into a success with perseverance and
family and or friend

3. Speech On Failure
Failure isn't always the worst; for every thing you do, there's always a first. Now why should we care about this? If we don't pay attention then the
point we will miss. Failure is just the first step to take, to a better life, one we have to make. Failure is all around us in the world. When we think
about someone failing, it usually doesn't present jovial feelings and thoughts. Honestly, failure isn't a bad thing in every aspect of it. I will be
pointing out some of the things that most people don't realize about failure. My first point is that every single person that has ever lived will fail at
least once. My second, how failure can show your true personality to yourself and everyone around you. Lastly, in order to be successful, you must
have failure first. Failure is pretty inevitable for any living thing on this earth! This includes every species known to man. For some odd reason
mankind finds a way to fail at almost everything that they attempt. Even some of the famous celebrities that we know and love. We know of these
people because of their successes. Famous athletes, artists, singers, and every other type of category you could ever think of, have all failed at one
point in life. Just to be clear, some of those celebrities have failed miserably. Even some of the people that I look up to most have failed
tremendously. Take Steven Spielberg for example. Spielberg is of the most known and loved directors of all time. Every one in this room has most
likely seen at

4. Failure Leads to Success
J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter novels, was rejected by a dozen publishers. Michael Jordan didn't make his high school basketball team.
Thomas Edison, the inventor of the lightbulb, was told that he was too stupid to learn anything. Beethoven's teachers said he was hopeless, and he
composed four of his greatest works when he was completely deaf, and Oprah came from poverty (Nick Horton). There has been an innumerable
amount of celebrities that failed before they became successful. Although you probably won't experience the same things that Oprah or Michael
Jordan experienced, you can still succeed through failure. Despite what others may think, failure leads to success in today's society because it pushes
someone to work harder to prove to others that he/she can succeed and because it teaches people a lot about themselves. Failure pushes someone to
work harder to prove to other people that he/she can succeed. Kayla Way and Courtney Way are prime examples. Kayla and Courtney both got
pregnant in high school and a lot of people told them that they would never amount to anything. "Only one–third of adolescent mothers will graduate
high school, and only slightly over one percent of those will earn a college degree before they turn thirty" (Teen Pregnancy Statistics). Despite the
statistics, both girls graduated with their classes and finished college by the age of twenty–two. Kayla is now a pediatric nurse and Courtney is a
pharmacy technician. Also, Courtney

5. Definition Of Success
Everybody has at least failed once, but there is always success behind everything you do. If you fail at something don't give up. Success is not that
far behind. As I said everyone has failures, even me, that have turn into some type of success. It may be an emotionally, physical, personal, or school
work. My friend said this to me one time, " No matter how times are. Good or bad. Success or a failure. Never give up. It may turn into something big
that you have never imagined. Just stay Army Strong." This has stuck with me for awhile now. It has helped me through failures and success. In the
end I never give up though. It will be a success, not that it was a failure to begin with. All you have to do is keep pushing yourself forward until success

6. Case Study Of Roxanne Quimby

Roxanne Quimby is an ambitious entrepreneur. She had her own business called Burt's Bees... Roxanne had all the common background
characteristics of entrepreneurs. Roxanne had a big personal drive and commitment which has a huge emphasis in assisting them to overcome
obstacles and difficulties they face in establishing and getting a successful business. She had to get willingness to exploit a challenge, to persevere, to
work hard, to be flexible and to delegate to others when she had to

Roxanne had a difficult childhood, her father a failed entrepreneur disowned her when he found out she was living with her boyfriend and stopped
all financial and familial ties, but he did give her one gift and early entrepreneurial education. He did tell her he wouldn't give her any money for
college but would match every dollar she earned. She worked hard, travelled from fair to fair slept in the back of the truck and it paid off Burt's
Bees was a huge success. She never took on debt because she never wanted to feel that she couldn't walk away from it. I think the time is right for
her to sell. She didn't want to be in Burt's Bees forever and she knew at some point the business isn't going to need her anymore. There are other
things she wants to do. She always wanted to live in India work on product design and if she sold Burt's Bees she could make this happen. I think she
should listen to her instinct as she said herself it hasn't failed her to date. She needs to follow her dream and move on. She has to think creatively
brush of her shoulders and move on. In fact, failure has been shown to be a better teacher than success, Roxanne has curiosity, confidence and
determination, Roxanne and Burt couldn't remain the sole owners of the company if they wanted it to grow... I think she would grow from strength to
strength if she sold the company and start fresh in her dream country

7. The Power of Failure Essay
There is a common misconception that failure is a bad thing. Many people who fail at something are often called losers, but if those people learn
from their losses, they are actually winners. Failure teaches people that they are just like everybody else, and that success is gained from hard work
and determination. When people fail at something important in their lives and decide to try again, they tend to regain their confidence and persist with
great resilience. Many of the best lessons people learn in life come from the mistakes they have made and the knowledge they gained from their
mistakes.
A good example of failure being the best teacher is in business matters. People with excess money often invest in businesses they know...show more

Most of them learn from such mistakes and go back into the business market with knowledge of what it takes to succeed.
Another good example of learning more from failure than success is found in sports. When people first begin playing a sport, they may not play very
well. However, they learn and improve through experience. Very few athletes win all of their competitions, so there are failures in sports. When frequent
winners lose, they may act childish and prove that they have learned nothing from their success. triving athletes often realize too late that they could
have succeeded had they practiced more and worked together.
A final example of failure being a better teacher than success lies within personal relationships. People often go into relationships knowing very little
about one another. This sometimes leads to disappointment when their relationship progresses and their true traits surface. One person may make a
comment about a subject and unintentionally hurt the other's feelings. This situation could have been avoided had they taken more time to get to know
each other. Many people spend a lot of time in relationships that do not lead anywhere because they neglect the things that matter in making a
relationship significant. When the relationship ends, the people involved are often bitter and feel that they have wasted their time, but they have
actually learned one of life's greatest lessons. Failure has

8. Leisure Reflection
Over the course of this past semester, my eyes were finally opened to what and how leisure affects my everyday life. Although I had never given the
concept of leisure any thought, it had always come to me naturally as I would simply spend my free time looking for new and exciting things to do
growing up. Even though learning all of these new concepts of leisure associated different aspects of leisure to a definition, I am now able to finally
explain exactly how the many aspects of leisure interact with our society and day to day lives. Before I had taken this course, I essentially had no
idea what I was getting myself into. I knew what leisure was but hearing that there was a specific class dedicated to studying the concept of
recreation, parks, and tourism was defiantly something I was excited to take as it was a step away from my major in health care administration. I
am glad I was able to read through the course text as well as get a different point of view into the topics through the interesting course lectures as I
was finally able to see exactly how leisure affects public planning, time management, and the motivation of employees. I couldn't agree more that the
concept of leisure is definitely something I will have to come across as my career takes me further into management. The first idea I which I had
learned from a mentor is to always set goals in order to achieve anything in life. I always set goals in every aspect from school work, cleaning around
the house, new
